Eddie's Home Repair

Eddie was right on time, he surveyed the work that needed to be done. He made a list of necessary supplies and went to Home Depot and purchased what was needed. He worked continually and did a first class job on all task. Eddie is a talented journeyman who I would recommend if you need a handyman.

Second time I hired Eddie, he is great, clean and efficient.

His work is good but would not say excellent. He only completed half of the job, at my request, as I needed another contractor to come out and redo a previous project. When I requested him to come out again, I told him to plan for one day but I would confirm. Let him know the next day that I could not do suggested day and let me know next available. Scheduled for Monday, but realized on Friday that I would not be available (cash only, paid at the end of day, which I would not be able to be present for). When the situation was fixed, allowing me to be home on Sunday, I let him know I had already done most of the demolition. He said it was not worth his time to come out for such a small job. After a discussion back and forth, we agreed on Monday, and he would be paid for 6 hours no matter how long he was here. Today, I had to leave out of town for a week. He was notified and replied in a belligerent tone that this was ridiculous, as he had just loaded his truck, and could have taken other jobs. He went on to say it was even more unfair and ridiculous that we call him on a holiday...though a recent review stated he came out on a holiday to fix a mailbox (and to clarify, I texted him a picture of the upcoming project and did not expect a response/phone call). Bottom line - he may be good for someone but not me. He seems to be easily irritated and my worst concern was opening the other panels and finding rotted wood under the panels he had recently repaired replaced. I expect to get a nasty response to my honest review but I suggest people should strongly consider their gut feelings before hiring, as I had wanted to dismiss him upon arrival, with $100 for his time, but girlfriend encouraged me to keep him on.

Could not have been happier- Eddie is a great guy with excellent work ethic. He even came on a holiday weekend to accommodate me.

This was a joke. I spoke to Eddie two weeks ago and described the work I needed done and scheduled him. He arrived on time and it went downhill from there. When he arrived I had a itemized list that I wanted to go through with him. As I started to go through the list he had a issue with every item I needed worked on i.e. "I don't have a ladder high enough to reach that area" (I actually had two different areas that needed drywall repair and I'm not even sure he brought a ladder with him), "I can try to fix that but I cannot beheld responsible", "I can't install your ceiling fan because the bed is in the way" and "If I replace your interior bedroom door I cant guarantee it will fit right." At this point I decided the term handyman did not really apply to Mr Stepanek. At this point he had been in my house for about 20 minutes so I handed him $80 (which is what he changes for the first hour) and told him I did not think this was going to work out and thanked him for coming. I think I was more than fair to even pay him for literally doing nothing. This almost felt like a scam on his actual abilities and desire to do any work. So glad I wasted taking a day off from work.

Called Eddie directly, asked if he covers Lake Park, he said it depends. Told him owner needs a bid to replace three window units and to re-caulk the bathtub. Vendor said "I'll pass."

Excellent; Eddie was prompt with answering my original request for services, honest with his scheduling and got the job done! He did a great job putting together the desk and was a pleasure to have around. I already have another list of things I need for him to do in the future. Eddie is genuine, honest and clearly a hard worker.

I wish I hired Eddie a long time ago. Things would have been repaired alot quicker! I had a variety of repairs from tile work, carpentry and basic plumbing. All was done perfectly. Thanks again.

Eddie was great he showed up on time extremely reasonable and then outsta extremely reasonable and did outstanding work.

Went very well. it was more of a user/tenant issue but Eddie was very quick to schedule the appointment (scheduled within 4 hours) and very courteous. He fixed/taught the tenants what to do.

Eddie was great. Easy to make the appt. He showed up on time and did the requested work with care. He was very nice and didn't mind my dog barking at him. Kept the work area very clean and cleaned up when he left. I would definitely use him again for repair work that is too much for me and would highly recommend him.

It worked out great. He installed an above mount microwave that took about three hours. He did the job professionally and left no mess. I will recommend him to others.

I called Eddie and asked him to come right then and there. He came, sized up the problem immediately. The studs in that wall were metal. I was looking for wood studs and the screws I had were all wrong. He not only hung the supports in minutes, but had the correct tools and screws on his truck. Problem solved.

Terrible. His work is shoddy and he's a bully. I had to rehire someone to redo everything he did. I have been afraid to leave an honest review in fear of repercussion. When I complained about something he did and asked him to redo it, he started yelling at me and quit after I had paid him. Also, his ad says he accepts checks, but after he was already here and working he demanded cash. I had to go to the bank in a rain storm while he was still here. Horrible experience.

The provider was very punctual and professional. The provider successfully stalled two (2) grab bars in a shower; extra parts were needed to install the bars which he had available in his truck. The provider cleaned the work area when finished. Prior to departing, the provider was asked to address a slowly draining sink; little pieces of debris were removed from the p-trap and it was recommended by the provider to follow up with stronger drain cleaning solution. The prices are reasonable as the caliber of work is excellent.
