Eddie's Home Repair

After texting him photos of the job and purchasing $41 of supplies, Eddie came by took a look at the job and said he wasn't going to do it. I don't know if he simply didn't want to work the Friday before the 4th of July or whether the job was too tough for him. What I do know is that he left me hanging with an exposed window during rainy season in front of a long weekend. I wouldn't recommend him.

Had three tasks for Eddie, he completed cutting and refitting of linen door beautifully. Unfortunately was not able to hang a fan for me that was 14ft high but he told me ahead of time and recommended someone who could help. Eddie is an honest and stand up guy, when he found carpenter ants in the fascia board we needed replacing, he explained we needed exterminator services to get to the root of the problem first. He was neat and friendly

I've hired Eddie several times- he has always been prompt, polite, and professional. Most times I have a long list of projects, which he has enthusiastically accomplished with an eye for detail. One time he noticed my gutters where blocked up. He was able to fix this and save me in repairs to the roof and gutters later! When I need him to get items from Home Depot or Lowe's he does not waste time and often comes up with better solutions for the projects. I would definitely hire Eddie's Home Repair again.

Eddie was on time, clean, polite and did all repairs quickly and thoroughly. A week in and everything is still great.

The job was done very well. Eddie had to go to Home Depot to purchase the correct items since I did not have everything that was needed for the job. He put up the racks and secured them so that they would hold up better. He provided advice on the setup of the racks. He was on time and very prompt with his work. I would definitely, work with him again.

Eddie was amazingly responsive. He prices his jobs very fairly, and his work is top quality. This is our 2nd time using Eddie from long distance, and he can be trusted to do what he says he will do, when he says he will do it, for the price he quotes up front! He's a rare find!

He was 15minutes early, we met first thing in the morning and he was able to squeeze me in on short notice to accommodate my schedule. Fantastic! Nice guy and did a great job. Highly recommend him.

Eddie did a great job. He came here twice. Both times he did excellent work. He went out of his way to accommodate our schedule. We will keep using him for any work we need done to our home in the future. Highly recommend him and his company!

The projects just grow when Eddies in the house. You wonder how you've lived without repairing and upgrading your home. Because you have confidence in everything Eddie can do( and I think he is qualified to do most anything around your house) and the fairness in pricing He will always be on my short list of "go to " guys.

My old gate was leaning, the support posts giving way. Since I have a pool it was a high priority for me to get it fixed or replaced. I decided to have Eddie make a new wooden gate and secure the posts in cement. It started to rain before he was done and he finished the job anyway. His work was excellent and reasonably priced.

We wanted wood shelves BUILT in the entire garage and the floor painted. I was convinced by our conversation that he was a professional and as he said ?could do anything.? Eddie showed up unexpectedly too early and apologized and we were ok with that. I described the job(s) and he immediately reminded us (several times) that he goes by the hour ($85 the 1st & $50 every additional). My wife reiterated several times, it?s not the money; we just want assurances that we all agree on the job at hand. He repeated that he does not do estimates because he doesn?t know prices and works by the hour. That caught us off guard because we understood that he was coming over to ?discuss? the whole (big) job but not to begin working on it. He never explained that he was going right to work on a job he knew very little about. He said he wanted to ?see? what I was talking about and calculate supplies needed. We?ve had contractors for installing fencing, a driveway, sheds, a wood deck, tree trimming, yard etc. and all gave us an estimate. My wife felt bullied every time he talked about wanting to go to Home Depot to ?pick out the shelves you want installed?. That?s not how I described the job we wanted when I called. Several times he remarked on the great job he did installing some metal shelves like the ones we pointed out in our garage that we installed ourselves 15 years ago and he was clearly told we would never consider them. He charges the hourly wage when he goes to buy the supplies so have your supplies ahead of time. We offered to have supplies delivered as with other contractors but he said we could order and he would pick up which we assumed would begin his hourly fee and that?s fine. Had we known he does not give estimates we would not have picked him; also he never made it clear that he would start work immediately and was annoyed when we explained our confusion. Buyers beware. We did all the grunt work; he did not have to clear the garage. We did that the day before. My wife spent a lot of time explaining that we just wanted plain wooden shelves; gave him all measurements, a diagram and offered whatever he needed to complete the job. He agreed to come back in one week and pick up supplies my wife would order after he calculated how much wood he needed to accommodate the plans she gave him. We also agreed to a $600 epoxy garage floor after all the shelves on all the walls were done. The best part is when he called the next day and cancelled us because he had gotten a ?big paint job for a week? and WE would have to reschedule with him. So, we?re left with our garage torn apart until we get a carpenter who wants the job. He wanted cash but never gave us a receipt. So if you want someone to paint one wall and a 4 foot apron on the floor in front of it for $314.78 he?s your guy. ($68.78 was for 2 cans of paint + $250 labor, pix attached).) At that rate to paint three walls of the garage would cost about $1,000. Really? - Cliff

Eddie came out, explained how he would do the work, quoted a price and a date to begin work. He showed up on time each day, performed the work efficiently, and cleaned up before leaving for the day. Eddie demonstrated pride in his work and accommodated our needs when we needed access to the area in which he was working. I hired him a second time when I needed a large outdoor area to be power washed. Again, he came when promised and worked steady.

Eddie is very professional and does everything. He came out and we reviewed the projects. He took a quick trip to home depot to buy supplies and then starting knocking items off of our to do list. He works very fast and efficiently and gave us advice on what needed done and how to best do it, while trying to be as inexpensive as possible. Eddie is coming back next week to finish some additional projects.

Eddie has the right knowledge and tools to do this job with ease. His cuts were clean and precise to measurements. We look forward to having him do more work on our mid-century home.

Eddie was great. I contacted him on a Saturday with a need for work done in the next week and he accommodated me for that Monday. He was on time (early actually!) and very efficient. His screen repair/replacement skills are excellent and he is a very neat and capable painter. His pricing was very fair and provided good value. I will certainly use Eddie again and will definitely recommend his services.

Went great, Eddie is thorough and gave honest feedback and advice on the job. He followed up with the tenant and was got the job done on time and we didn't have any issues after the repairs.

He seemed to have a bit of an attitude and made a condescending comment to my husband and one comment I didn't appreciate about my child. Since we had several other projects to complete, we chose a different handyman privately referred to us for all the additional work.

Eddie, is extemely knowledgeable with the work that he performed. He appears to be cost effective, and if you need someone right away he appears to be punctual and works to help you out. If he cant do something he will recommend someone trust worthy. The guy obviously knows his trade, and appears to deal with a lot of people that probably are rude to him. However he works to ensure that you are satisfied and will take the time necessary for the job to be done.

Eddie installed 2 curtain rods in masonry on our enclosed patio. The curtains were covering two sliding glass doors to the outdoor patios. He also cut to fit and installed 3 bi-fold louvered doors in our master closet, laundry room, and utility room. He attempted to seal the front door bottom gap by installing a door sweeper but it did not allow the door to close so it was removed. Eddie did quality work. I thought his pricing was a little high, but we were very happy with the results. He spent about 4 hours in our home.

Eddie responded quickly, and did the job very well, keeping us updated throughout the process on a daily basis thru phone calls, texts, and pictures. Being that this is a home we rent out, and live in another part of the country, Eddie made the process anxiety-free for us.

Eddy got to my apartment at 8:30 am like he promised. I proceeded to go over the repairs I needed, and we both went to Home Depot to purchase the parts for the repairs. We came back to the apartment and he promptly started on the repairs and finished them about 12 noon. Eddy is well qualified in various types of work and has a very mechanical mind. I am well satisfied with the quality of work done by Eddy and would recommend him to anyone.

The ceiling looks amazing! Eddie did a fantastic job. Very professional and priced right.
