Amelia's SmartyPlants

The rudest people at any shop! We were there Sunday and no help. We called Monday morning to place and order and no call back. Called on Tuesday and finally got someone who did not want to help. Provided plant name and she said she didn't know what it was. We read the name off the description of the plant (we took a picture) and told her where it is in the store. She refused to go and look. The worst service of any store...I would definitely go somewhere else for plants, pots etc

Amelia Plant owners came across very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I trusted them and they came up with a beautiful landscape and we paid to have both front and back yards landscaped. Unfortunately, too many plants were sold to us and three years later we have a jungle and significant overcrowding. For example, three Royal Palm trees were planted only 6 feet apart from each other. I think they took advantage of us.

I went to Amelia's to buy a gift certificate for my mom. I was instantly impressed with the entire place, and the staff was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I now understand why my mom goes there so often!

I find myself at Amelia's Smarty a Plants all the time. I've always been pleased. They are knowledgable regarding host and nectar plants for my butterfly garden. The plants are so healthy. An amazing place with amazing staff.

We received a call from Marta on 6/29/14 stating she wasn't going to honor the additional consultation hours they committed to at the beginning of the project. It is disappointing to me because the landscaping looks very nice and I would have liked to have done business with them again. However, the additional fees that were added throughout the process after we signed the agreement and then backing out of the additional hours committed to just made me feel like it was all a shady business deal. We sought out what we thought was a good company and paid a premium for what should have been professionalism. Did not turn out to be the case. Instead we found disorganization and poor communication between employees within the company and between the owners. We unfortunately will not recommend Amelia's smarty plants to others.

I have recently moved to the Delray Beach area and have been looking for a good nursery with a nice selection of plants. Before I found Amelia's, I was rather disappointed in the selection of plants that most nurseries carry as they are all much the same and you see the same varieties everywhere. I couldn't imagine that there were such a limited number of plants that could possibly grow in Southern Florida. Needless to say I was delighted when we recently visited Amelia's. The variety of beautiful and healthy plants made an immediate impression. I thought...Finally!!! I have found a resource that thinks outside the box. While they too carried some of the standards, they also carried many beautiful flowering plants and grasses and unusual things that could make a garden unique and special. They also carried beautiful pots and planters as well as water fountains. The prices were good, the plants healthy and the staff friendly and helpful.A great resource for anyone who loves plants and gardens and wants something out of the ordinary.

We visited to check out plants for future planting needs, not a total landscaping job done by them. They had lovely plants and were very helpful and informative. We have a couple things in mind to buy on our return. We will take some measurements and pictures with us when we return. We bought acidifier for our gardenias. Prices were higher than Home Depot but plants were larger and there was a much greater variety to choose from..

We very much enjoyed working with the SmartyPlants team! From the initial interview to the design process though to the installation, all phases were accomplished with the highest level of professionalism. The owners Paul and Marta are always responsive to calls and emails and are definitely prepared to work iteratively to get to an end result that satisfies. When the entire, neglected front yard was cleared down to the soil in preparation for the plantings, we were particularly impressed both with how fast the team was able to perform the work and the tidy way they collected and organized the weedy ground cover and concrete they removed. A large Bismarck palm that unfortunately had been planted next to the house was competently moved, installed and braced in our backyard in what seems like the perfect location. Our questions were and continue to be patiently answered and we enjoy our transformed home more and more. And no surprises at invoicing time - all was within estimate. Highly recommended for level of services, the attention to detail, the caliber of the landscape design and the quality of the plants. We're definitely looking forward to our next project with SmartyPlants!

Plants are very healthy. A wide range of selection, including unusual plants. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.

Everyone at Smarty Plants is friendly and easy to work with. They have done 3 projects for us, the first was in Dec 2011 and the most recent was done in October 2012 - we are happy will all the work they have done.

They are excellent. I will use them again to purchase plants from them.

It was a very positive experience. She is wonderful and she answered my questions. I had some ideas but she is also helping me come up with work that fits out budget.

They did a great job and I would definitely use them again in the future.
