Work was done so well we wrote check for $100 instead of asking priceof $75 because:1) Work done on same day.2) Work done on a Saturday at no extra charge for weekend.3) Alex doors arrived within 3 minutes of promised time.4) This is second use of Alex doors.5) Same person actually installed the electronic garage doorwhen the home was first built by Pulte Homes more than 21 years ago. Howabout that.6) There are other good garage door repair people. We know we've usedthem before we found Alex doors when one of our vendors retired.7) Alex doors is the best of all of our very reputable and reliable garage door vendors.8) We willing recommend Alex doors and you will too.

Alex doors arrived 11:03amAlex doors verified that electronic door opener was about to fail.Alex doors showed us potential worst case scenario. What part might have to be replaced and potential cost including labor.Alex doors took apart the door open.Alex doors found one small part only needed replacement,not a whole module.Alex doors made the repair, tested the work done, and achieved the completion in less than 40 minutes.

 + -1 more. He came at the time he said. He knew the problem immediately, and had the right part on his truck. He replaced the bad part with the new part, and the garage door operator works fine. He never tried to bad mouth the system that I have, nor did he try to sell me any service that I didn't need. ALEX DOORS was a pleasure to work with and I am still amazed that such an honest man works in South Florida. I definitely recommend ALEX DOORS for any garage door work that you may have!

 + -1 moreThey did a fantastic job. They were on point with everything. Their pricing was reasonable. The technician that came out was very knowledgeable and helpful. He was honest with us. He gave us a quote and he stuck to that price. He was about 20 minutes late, but I didn't mind. He was stuck in traffic, and unfortunately that wasn't something that could be helped. He was very professional. I would definitely use him again if needed.

 + -1 moreHe was very good. He came to my house and fixed all of my garage doors. He went above and beyond and replaced lightbulbs etc when I did not request it. His price was very reasonable. He did not try to upsell me on a new garage door opener; he just fixed it and explained the problem to me. If I need a garage door repair in the future, I will definitely use them.

 + -1 moreWaited all day and he did not come. He tried calling, but had my wrong phone number. Even so, he came the next day and was very apologetic. It was just a mix up with the phone #. He did the repair and was very professional. When we still had a problem, he came right back for a minor adjustment. I would definitely use his services again. A nice man and very fair with his fees.

Description of Work: My garage door opener was doing all kinds of strange things like requiring multiple presses of the button and the transmitter in the car, The light would be on when it should be off and vice versa. Then the light would stay on all night or not come on at all. I was sure that it was in the circuit board or the receiver. Tulio Ginoli walked it and went right to the button on the wall. He said it was a doorbell button which sometimes had a small light in it. Sure enough it did. he took the button apart and removed the little bulb and much to my surprise it works fine now. He also aligned the hinges which made it work much more quietly. Tulio really knows his stuff and I am sure he saved me a ton of money by not having to buy a new actuator. He is very pleasant and he was on time.

He replaced the springs for $245.00 then redid my flickers ( wanted to change codes) then he greased both garage doors and did not charge me any additional charges. I would definitely use him again.

 + -1 moreI started to replace my garage door opener and realized the door was not properly balanced. I know this to be a job for a professional and called Alex Doors after reading the Angies List reviews. Tulio was at my front door in 15 minutes and had the door balanced in another 5. He asked what had happened to my existing opener and after I told him he went right to his truck and started fixing my mess up. Twenty minutes later everything was back to normal and I didn't have to spend my Saturday (or $220) installing a new opener. The phone estimate to rebalance had been $65 and Tulio charged a total of $105. I was very happy with the great service and fair price. I have had less than pleasant experiances with this trade prior and will not call anyone but Alex Doors in the future.

Then I called Alex doors and was asked what my problem was. He actually walked my son through trouble shooting the problem. Kudos to a wonderful human being!!!

 + -1 moreHe was punctual, conscientious, professional and moderately priced. I recommend him and woulld have no reservations in using him again. If you have a garage door problem, he is your guy.
Description of Work: He has been in the business for many years and his specialty is fixing garage doors. The work he did included fixing the chain clip on the garage door opener, replacing a few of the bolts that had become worn or loose, as well as, replacing the wood panel at the top of the garage door which anchors the garage door chain and adjusting the torsion bars.

Description of Work: Garage door cable broke after 20+ years of service. We called to have both cables replaced. Alex appeared at our door at the time he promised. He completed his work in less than 15 minutes. Turns out he has been in the garage door installation and repair business in this area for more than 20 years. In fact the housing development where we live in is where he installed most if not all the garage doors. He remembered being employed and later contracted by home builder Pulte Homes. My wife and I were and are impressed with Alex' professional, friendly, and efficient work. We feel confident in recommending him to others.

Description of Work: I had Alex Doors come out to fix some issues with the garage on the new short sale I bought. We were having a problem where I couldn't get the garage to close or open (w/o holding down the button in the garage). The track for the garage also seemed off.
