AES Lighting and Electrical

I called AES because there were several electrical issues that were compounding in my home. I like to take care of a lot of these issues on my own, but there comes a point where you need to pick up the phone and call an expert. I called Terry on a Saturday and he schedule me for the following Tuesday. Terry was very courteous and worked out a schedule to allow for any and all issues that I may have had. As we talked more, I realized that there were quite a few things I needed to resolve. Terry accurately approximated the time needed to do all the work and I am very pleased with that. Due to a cancelled appointment before mine, they moved my time up, and did at least provide enough time to allow me to get home earlier than I expected. It was a little inconvenient to have to suddenly switch my times around with such short notice, however, I understand how these things go and I was more than willing to bump up my appointment to the earlier slot. AES sent Hunter to provide the electrical services. Hunter arrived right at the time that Terry told me to expect him. From the minute he began, Hunter was very professional and explained everything he wanted to accomplish step by step. We first started off with me showing him what all the issues were to assess each situation and for him to plan how to resolve everything. He started at the panel to ensure that everything looked good and was working well. We proceeded to then start working on all the issues. Most of my little issues ended up being minor and some wiring adjustments were enough to take care of the problems. The biggest fix was that I wanted to rewire some switches to control other things in my living room. Hunter ended up assessing the wiring in the room, which proved to be quite tricky, and successfully figured out how to accommodate my wishes. We ended up getting one switch to control a receptacle for a lamp, another switch was removed from controlling another receptacle, so that the receptacle remained hot all the time, and finally another switch was fixed to control my ceiling fan, which was previously always hot. I was very impressed with the speed at which everything was accomplished. Overall, the experience was great and I will most definitely be calling AES back if electrical services are needed. Furthermore, I would definitely try to request Hunter to be the electrician due to his personable character, honesty and great work. I found the price to be very reasonable and the work that was accomplished in my schedule time was very fair. Thank you!

Hunter was very professional, neat, and worked in a very fair and timely manner. There were problems with the wiring in this house, and he tried to fix what he could and make better sense for us of the things that just couldn't be fixed. Overall, we were very pleased with the work Hunter did; he was professional, courteous, neat, and fair. We still need some things done that we forgot to have done, so we will be calling again!

I have used AES a few times, all great experiences. Josh has done the work all three times. Great guy, met with him Tuesday, work was completed Wednesday. Ran through three different options and the cost of each. Installed a new 220, 4 prong outlet for my new dryer. Had to run a completely new line, outside and came through the wall. Stayed till late at night to make sure everything was correct and working. Work looks great, exactly what I wanted. I will continue to use AES for all my electrical needs. Thanks Josh.

He worked fast so he could save me the second hour of charge. The price was exceptionally reasonable, including the parts. He was honest in not saying I needed more than I did and told me what I will need to do in the next year. He has a very pleasant manner and I will call him again for anything electrical.

They are terrific. They are very informative, everything about them was great. I liked everything about him. I thought he was honest; the price was good, professional and showed up when he was supposed to.

Very professional and friendly. I am in NY and asked AES to do some work at my parents' condo in Greenacres, FL. There was a hiccup at first because Terry lost the piece of paper he jotted the information on. After several days of no follow up from them, I called back to find out what happened. Terry apologized, and we moved on. From there, everything went as expected (well). They called my parents to schedule a visit, and the work was done that same afternoon. We communicated by telephone, text msg, and email. I paid by credit card from NY. Very user friendly. I would use them again if another need arises.

I called AES and spoke with Terry. We set a date and time for the work to be done. Josh arrived on time. He was very personable, polite, and professional. I explained where I wanted the outlet to be. After about 15 minutes he explained that he could not put the outlet where I wanted because of the way the house was constructed (big surprise). He offered a suggestion about a different place to put it, close to where I originally wanted. He explained that he would have to cut a hole in the wall to run the wire and would replace the wallboard. All I would have to do is some plastering to cover the edges. I agreed and he went to work. About an hour and a half later he was done. He did a great job and true to his word the wall patching effort would be minimal. I would definitely have AES back for additional work..

It went well.Terry Stewart called the day before to let me know that was someone would be coming out the next day. The next day John called to alert me that he was on his way. When he arrived, he tackled the job immediately. It was obvious that the builder did some shoddy work which John was able to fix in a very reasonable time. John found one circuit that may have contributed to problem and corrected it. Recommended whole house surge protection as an option.

Answered phone quickly, made an appointment on first call, gave me technician's name and time frame for arrival. Technician Josh called before appointment time and arrived early. Professional, friendly and fairly priced service with a travel time charge. I would use them again.

I replaced about 18 outlets in my home yesterday. When I turned the main breaker back on, I had a short in one of the breakers. I tried troubleshooting but with my limited knowledge, I was at a loss for how to resolve the problem. I left a message last night with AES at 9:30pm. My call was returned this morning before 9 and my electrician, Josh, arrived a little after 2. He gave me a little more electrical education and he pretty quickly was able to determine where the problem was (one of the wires I had connected, broke and was touching the metal box. Josh was running a little later than anticipated but called to let me know. Overall, a great experience and I will definitely call this business again to address my electrical needs.

John, our electrician from AES, came right on time the morning of service and commenced work immediately. He updated all the wall plugs and light switches in the kitchen, family room, three bedrooms, hallway, dining room, entrance hall, family room and living room. He hung new lights outside our front door and in our hallway. He installed GFS switches in the kitchen. He stayed until the job was completed and did a very professional job. We would highly recommend AES and especially John. We have additional electrical work to be completed in the near future and will definitely consider calling AES again.

Since we had a great experience with them in the past, I called Terry to discuss my issues. He suggested I buy the security light I wanted to install. I called him yesterday am to let him know I had it. He had John here later the same day. John did a great job climbing the ladder four times to change out security lights at four corners of house. Fixed the outlet issue in laundry room. John was professional and very neat. Would recommend these folks without hesitation.

I found AES Lighting and Electrical on Angie's List. Needed help with a systemic electrical issue (no power to front porch light, lights in living room, kitchen and back porch). AES had someone at my house within 2 business days. The electrician, Joshua, arrived when he said he would, and diagnosed the problem in short order. I had a burned out wall receptical, which was affecting electricity to the other areas of my home. It was necessary for Joshua to cut a small hole to get to the needed wires, but he took care to cut the hole as small and neatly as possible. The receptical was replaced, and everything is back to normal. Joshua was polite and professional. I will definitely call AES Lighting and Electrical should future needs arise.

Absolute electrical superstars. On time, under budget. Very professional, very neat. They have all my electrical business forever.

Just perfect. Terry dispatched a technician as soon as another job was completed. This is a company that has a professional staff of well qualified people. I have used AES before for a lighting installation and the result was the same. This is a " go to" company for me.

They were great, put in many new LED recessed lights and retro fitted the old ones we had. Put in several new dimmers, and changed out a few old ones. Took most of the day, but their work looks GREAT! Very detailed and professional (put down drop cloths, kept house clean). Their pricing was good too (I called 2 other Angies list vendors for quotes). I would not hesitate to call them back for other electrical work in future.

We had to manage various contractors for this renovation and they were on time and completed in one day so that the next contractor could come in to perform work. They were responsive, professional and experienced. The ran all wiring with minimal drywall demo. I would highly recommend them.

I fully believe that if I had contacted Terry with the issues I had found he would have done his best at no extra charge to rectify them. But in all honesty I just didn't want the stress of dealing with them again. However when told the wiring was bad, I had to choose paying someone new to do the work or contacting Terry to see if they would come fix it. The outlet they installed the first time was faulty and had they tested it before they left it would have been an easy swap out, so I do recommend having them show that things are working prior to leaving still. They came out on time and immediately got to work fixing the old wiring. Terry and I spoke face to face and I believe he understands my frustration with the last visit. I would use his company again and would recommend them to others as in the long run, Terry will do the right thing. Pleased I contacted them with my issues and had the pleasure of meeting Terry, even after my last not so flattering review. Thanks!

We had fluorescent lights sitting on top of the kitchen cabinets, run through the walls. There was no light in the ceiling. We asked them to come and install a light box. In addition, we asked if they could take a look at our outside light, which did not seem to work. They were very professional, and were able to solve the outside light problem easily. Inside, they installed a light box, and even did some extra work for us by installing an outlet in the top of the cabinets for proper mood lighting instead of fluorescents. Our technician also asked if we wanted to re-order the light switches while he was at it, which was a great bonus. Cleaned up after himself. Excellent work.

I’m not sure about the price, but I felt that it was reasonable. The technician was above average and very nice. They did about 10 hours of work for me.
