AAA PRO SCREENING

He was great in the beginning but when I hired him for the second project, I haven't seen him since. I paid him upfront. He went to Peru for three weeks and I haven't seen him since. He never finished the job. I am still upset about it because that happened back...June is when he did the second job. I even emailed you all about my bad experience but nobody ever touched base with me about it. Ivan Alarcon is the worker. He went to Peru June, 20th. Five days before that, he poured the slab for the gazebo and haven't seen him since. I talked to him on the phone. In fact ironically I called him because I hadn't heard from him. I didn't know he was going for 3 weeks. He said he was at the Miami Airport and he had to get a schedule together. He called me but he didn't have a schedule together so he couldn't give me a date. So I called him a few days later to see of he had a schedule together and I got his voice-mail and I never heard from him since. He didn't finish the job and I paid him upfront. That part was only like $600 but it comes down to principle not the amount. The first one was approximately 20000. The second one the guy had, at his suggestion doing a platform/concrete. The wooden frames are still out there on the concrete. So I think it's safe to assume, he will never contact me or come back. It is such a small thing. Just to at least take the wood off of the cement if you don't want to assemble the gazebo, install and screw it down. Other than that I am very pleased with Angie's List. Ivan Alarcon, I can't hire him again. I cannot recommend him. At least don't pay him upfront. The workmanship with what he did is fine especially on the expanding the patio and enclosing the screens downstairs and upstairs. I would definitely give than an A but on the second half it was a C-. It was no biggie and very simple for him to do and he took my money and ran. It was just a simple thing and I still find it odd to believe. His not being honest as far as I am concerned pulls the average down. The price was okay. What he did was fine. He's ignoring me. That was according to the weather. In fact he did show up one day and couldn't work because of the weather. That wasn't his fault. So there was no problem there, I wasn't picky about that. He was irresponsible.

Fabulously. Ivan came with a crew and got the job done right. Worked till the job, which was larger than we expected was done. He even stayed late to save the dragonflies because they protect our environment and would have died stuck inside our enclosure. Will use again during less hectic times to power wash and repair as needed. He knows what he is doing and does it right!

The process went very well. Ivan the owner did the work and provided excellent workmanship. I would highly recommend AAA Pro Screening to anyone who wants good quality service at a fair price.

I reached out to Ivan and informed him of the situation that I had and we agreed upon a time that he would go to the property to take a look and provide me with an estimate. Initially, I was not prepared to spend the money that he was suggesting but after discussing the matter with him and concluding that a proper repair was in order of not just the specific spot(s) where the screen was torn but of the screen structure itself. The framework was already dated and initial signs of the paint peeling and oxidation were starting to become visible. So ultimately, if I was to have the work done, I wanted it done RIGHT the FIRST time. We negotiated a price that we both thought to be fair to both of us and he was very good about explaining the process; the role of a painter and his specific role as well. Everything was done as promised and with ATD (ATTENTION TO DETAIL). So much was this the case that he called me on the last day of the job, to inform me that we had a problem. Of course, I was concerned and was expecting to hear of some misstep on his part or on the painters part. What in fact had happened, was that the tenant that I had renting the property, went out back into the patio area and carelessly painted some craft project with total disregard for the space and the fact that Ivan was doing his work. Ivan was good enough to inform me of the mishap but he was regretful of the fact that this solid job that he had undertaken had been so haphazardly disregarded. You can tell he definitely takes pride in his work. I had my say with the tenant, to say the least... EXCELLENT WORK by Ivan Alarcon!!

We had many pool enclosure panels removed by the contractors who painted our house. They were not responsible for replacing them so we called AAA Pro Screening. Ivan is a self-described perfectionist and he proved that to be true. He worked diligently to get the job done on a weekend to accommodate us. He replaced all 12 panels and was neat and methodical in his work. He also showed us that the screws which hold down the entire pool cage had corroded and in a storm they would not have held anything down and he replaced 80+ of those screws for us with new, longer screws. My husband is also a perfectionist, watched Ivan work, and had nothing bad to say at all. We recommend him without hesitation. In fact, we have hired him to replace our entry porch screen enclosure as well and he is in the process of giving us a proposal and estimate for that work.

I contacted Ivan on the recommendation of the company who repaired my roof, as they thought he had the ability to reinstall gutters, where most company's would not. Apparently Ivan was very busy, and he does not make it easy to make an appointment since he requires a wide window of time (ie.., "sometime in the afternoon") for appointments. He did arrange to inspect my home, and when he did, I requested a proposal to reinstall gutters that had been taken down by a roofer during roof repairs, and also a quote for new gutters. He took many pictures of the old gutter on the ground, and suggested that the cost to reinstall my old gutter (if he could do it) might only be a few dollars less than the cost of new gutters. He responded by email several days later, with a quote for new gutters at $2,540 and a message that "the reinstalling option was not a good idea". Frankly, the price floored me, so I decided to check around. I received quotes for this same work (new gutters) from 3 other company's, all were Angies List "A" rated vendors. I eventually awarded the work to another vendor for a total cost of $1,076 (276' of seamless gutters, selection of colors, 6-year leak-free guaranty, work was performed in 4.5 hours by 2 men, a spotless job, including haul-away of old gutters, professionally completed). Two other vendors that I solicited quoted me $1,400 and $1,500 respectively for the same services, and one of those quoted $700 to reinstall my old gutters which I eventually chose not to do because the price for new gutters from the vendor I chose was only $376 more. I cannot explain the dramatic price variation between the other bid proposals I received and the one from this company, but my experience does suggest you might do well to shop around.

We had our enclosure structure reinforced and repaired screens plus replaced rusted out screws. They did a great job, the only reason I gave a B was there was some white paint on our pool deck after installing the brackets to reinforce the structure. I think those should have been painted then installed, so the deck didn't get paint on it. Otherwise, he showed up on time, did the job, was nice and it looks good.

The work was completed within a few days of our estimate meeting. He replaced many large screens and more than 50 screws. He was meticulous. The end product is perfect! Ivan was easy to work with and did a stellar job. I will use him again and HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for screen repair!

This was a small job for him; he usually builds and repairs outdoor screens for patios and pools. My window screens are original to my mid-century house, and therefore require TLC. Ivan is a perfectionist and did a fabulous job. I highly recommend him.

Everything went very well. We have had Ivan replace screens previously and he does great quality work. He always takes the time to walk us through the enclosure and make sure that we are aware of any potential problems. He is very thorough and does a great job.

Ivan is a very professional owner. He did my patio and some window screen. He explained what he needed to do and why beforehand. Job completed on time and I am very happy with the result. Ivan was always punctual, very pleasant, very professional, and worked slowly, but, very methodically, which in the end gave me the perfect job. His craftsman ship is excellent, he is no doubt a perfectionist, it showed in every detail of his work. My enclosure is now well anchored, well braced, and ready for the hurricane season. Extremely pleased with every facet of the job, except his price, I fell he is high by about 30%. I highly recommend using Ivan, but, get two other Angie List quotes to compare and leverage your the final cost.

After some delay with buuilding permit variance issues Ivan installed roof within the week. Two days after job was done we had a pretty good rain and found a small leak where new roof joined the facia board. Ivan answered our phone call promptly and came and took care of it. Next time it rained there was no leak. We are pretty well pleased with the job.

One of the panels of our large screened enclosure was totally damaged in a thunderstorm. This occurred on a Friday. I called a number of screen repair companies listed on Angie's List on Saturday. One could give me a date about a month out while others did not call back until Monday or Tuesday after the weekend. Only AAA Pro Screening called me back on Saturday and came out on Sunday to assess the situation. I felt that the owner, Ivan, was honest in his assessment. He noted some other weak panels but also pointed out that the enclosure was otherwise in good condition and noted where some panels were much newer than the ones he suggested I replace. He could schedule the work the following week (about 10 days), and I decided to use him. I am very satisfied with his work. Of course, one cannot fully judge everything until time goes by, but Ivan does all the work himself because he said it was the only way he could ensure that the work is done well. I thought his price was fair. He came when he said he would. I would use him again.

Ivan Alarcon is knowledgeable, courteous, and willing to go the extra mile. I located him on Angie's List and left a message for him late Saturday night to inquire about patio enclosures for a house I was negotiating to purchase. He promptly returned the call the next day, Sunday, a day his company (AAA Pro Screening) is closed. . Never having dealt with me before, Ivan was the ultimate professional as he directed me through the process, offering options and tentative estimates. I negotiated successfully and will be going into contract in a few days. I LOOK FORWARD TO WORKING WITH AAA PRO SCREENING.

Ivan is fantastic and a real craftsman! He was prompt and always on-time. He studied our problem and throughly explained our options, gave us his recommendations, and reasoning for them. He never oversold us or tried to "upsell" the job. He priced he job in detail and kept to the price. His work is clean, neat and precise. We would not hesitate to use him again or to recommend him.

I called this company on Monday 4/28 and left a voice mail requesting someone to come to my house to give me a quote on gutter replacement. One of the reasons I called them is because I saw in the description that besides gutters, they work with screens, driveways, sliding doors, painting, etc. and because I'm looking for a contractor for all these jobs I thought it would be nice to have it all done by the same contractor. Ivan called back ten mins. later asking what type of gutters I wanted. I was confused with the question because I don't know my options. We then scheduled a time for Wed. 4:30, when I would explain everything I needed done. He supposed to call me back before Wednesday to confirm, he never did. I called and left a voice mail, he returned my call at 5:30 asking if he could come at that time, I said he couldn't because I had to go get my son at school but I was going to be back at 7 pm and he said he could come at 7 which I agreed only to get a text message from him at 6:30 saying that he had 'something unexpected n urgent to do and I should call another company'. Overall I believe this company is very unprofessional.

Ivan was wonderful to work with. He is truly a perfectionist. He removed and rescreened our patio porch enclosure including adding brackets to strengthen the metal framework and cleaning out the grooves where corrosion had formed. He explained every detail to us along the way. Ivan also repaired a gutter and installed a new gutter over our garage, going out of his way to special order the correct size so that there would be no seams in the gutter. He is nice, polite and a pleasure to work with. We have plans already to hire Ivan in the near future.

Ivan came out to provide an estimate for this job, and he arrived when he said he would. That is appreciated, since I also called other companies who either (i) never called back, or (ii) never showed up for the appointment they scheduled. We did not end up having the work performed because the price was more than expected. Ivan took his time to explain what work would be involved, and why the price was what it was. He conducted himself as a true professional, and I would certainly contact him again if I needed the services he offers.

Ivan did excellent and meticulous work. He was careful to take precautions to ensure the disconnected pool screen enclosure was supported while detached from the house. All work was completed on time and exactly as agreed by Ivan and as specified in the service proposal. He kept me updated with pictures and commentary on progress throughout the job. My wife and are very pleased with the work AAA Pro Screening did for us and we would hire Ivan again.

Ivan did a very professional job in rescreening our patio. He was clear about the proper materials to use, went out of his way to explain why the particular spline material he was using would contribute to the longevity of the job, and was willing to demonstrate the proper installation proceedure. He took his time on the installation and made sure all of the screen panels were tight and without sags or ripples. He also installed one or two brackets to strengthen the existing metal framework where corrosion had loosed the structure. He was careful to clean up the site after his work was done. I woould be happy to recommend this gentleman to anyone with this type of work to do.

He was wonderful. We even had to leave the house and he left everything as it was. He explained to us why they had broken and what he did to make sure it wouldn't happen again.

It was 150% beautiful. Not one problem. He was very attentive and very good. I have since referred him to a friend who also loved his work. Very respectful.
