It took such a long time to get our permit but apparently that is normal for Palm Beach county. Once the permit was obtained the fence was in within the week! I talked/texted with John Murphy several times and he always got back to me. Him and his crew were really nice guys and they did a great job. I had 4 companies come to give me quotes. 2 of them never got back to me with an estimate and the 3rd that did was way to expensive for us. I'm happy we went with this company! Thanks for the fence :)

Very happy with his work and attention to detail. It did take a bit of time to get everything done because he is very busy. But it was worth the wait.

Excellent, after some miscommunications, for which I take 50% responsibility. The problems we had were resolved and these problems were the sole reason he did not get all As from me although I am sure that if we have work done by him in the future, all my grades will be A. The fence is high quality and he has a unique fence gate system and I am sure the gate will last a very very long time. I am quite pleased. Murphy is a great fence builder and I have asked him to make an estimate on my daughter's house which she just purchased

All went well until the city of Boca lost the permit information and Mr Murphy reapplied for the permit a second time and again kept us informed of the progress The second permit was inspected and the city has been satisfied We would highly recommend using this company for your your fencing needs

Murf is a great guy, and they did a really good job. They took away my trashed fence and replaced it with high quality wood fence work. I love my new gates, including the double. It's such an upgrade, the steel frames are great. He was easy to get in touch with, and I recommend them without reservation.

Murf was a pleasure to work with. He was responsive and really listened to what I was looking for. He understood the importance of detail. Throughout the process, he communicated with me via text ,essays get while I was at work to make sure he did exactly as I'd asked when installing. I would hire him again and recommend him to anyone. It's hard to find trustworthy contractors, but I got lucky finding him.

He gave me an estimate and said it would take a while to get back to me. However it has been over two months. I have not been able to get a hold of him at all.

The crew arrived early in the morning and worked as an efficient team. In fact, neighbors even commented to me that everyone looked so professional! My sad, old fence was removed and hauled away. In its place, a sturdy new fence was built on site. In addition to the standard "shadow-box" structure, I asked for a gate with a bit more style. John Murphy created a lovely half-moon gate that looks superb! In short, my experience was excellent. He was professional, talented and well-priced. I couldn't be happier and, when nature blows down my other old fences, I will return to him! Thank you!

Murf was great. He communicated when he would be able to do the job, if there were any issues, the cost, etc. all up front, there were no surprises. The fence was well constructed. I would absolutely use him again.

A Fence Build Inc. & the owner John Murphy ?Murph? are serious A-Class operation. I truly cannot say enough good things about Murph or the quality of the job he did. I sit in my backyard at least once a week and admire the fence he put in. Let me give you a little narrative of how we meet and how the job went? A Fence Builder was the third company off of Angies List that I called for a quote. I personally call 3 companies for any project to make sure the quotes are fair and that I don?t miss any details. Being the last in line, and have the first two quotes within a few hundred dollars of each other, I actually told John that I felt price was going to be the only differentiator for him to win the bid. In the end his price was the lowest (by quite a bit), but I have to say that I was wrong. He demeanor and professionalism were the real differentiator. From the beginning John comes across as genuine, friendly and most of all straight forward. Once he was awarded the job and deposit was made he was more than flexible meeting my schedule for installing the fence. The materials arrived on time exactly as he said they would and he commenced working on the fence right away with his crew. They didn?t mess around? They worked almost sun up to sun down until it was complete. I personal have to point out of the things I like the best? When John comes out and discusses your fence and tells you he can do this or that, when it comes time to make it happen it is John who is there doing and guiding the work. I have hired many contractors off Angies List and more time than not it is a sales guy or at least someone different who sell or prices the job vs completes the job. This is not the case here, Murph will tell you what he can do and for how much and then HE is the one who makes it happen. Good old-fashion honest integrity at work here. When the project was completed it passed inspection with a breeze. Like I said? I cannot say enough good things about this company or Murph himself. If you need a fence this is the company to call PERIOD! Thanks John!

John Murphy is a pleasure to deal with. He was prompt at providing a very fair quote and completed the job as scheduled and to my complete satisfaction. His workmanship is very high-quality and will last for a very long time. I will only use this Contractor for future fencing needs.

murph was great to deal with. He kept in touch and always answered my texts and e mails. Even though this was a small job and job was completed to our satisfaction when he said it would be (except for rain delay which is understandable). Would recommend.

Don't have the exact footage and specs in front of me, but IIRC the footage was about 250 ft. I asked for a four foot aluminum fence with a 12 foot setback from the front corners of my house going directly to the side property lines, along them to the back property line, then along the back edge of the property. My backyard is contoured, and they managed a stepped installation that follows it beautifully, giving it a natural, 'with the flow of the land' type look. The fence is to keep the dog in and the wandering animal or nosey passer-by out, and it'll do just that. I realized that due to an oversight of my own, I only put four foot walking gates in on either side of the fence near the front yard. This would make it hard to get large equipment or mowers in, and I immediately asked for a cut-in. It was no problem at all- just a small upcharge for additional materials, and they had it the next day. It took them two days once they started work to completely finish, and they admitted it was only a one day job, but logistics slowed them down a little. I'm glad they took the two full days because they used the time to put extra quality into the work. After it was done, John took me around and showed me everything, handed me gate keys, and a can of touch-up paint in case anything was ever scratched. I'm very happy with the work that they did, and readily recommend them to anyone putting in an aluminum fence.

Here's the preliminaries: I met with Murf after I felt I was getting shafted by another fencing company (also on Angie's list). The first company was very discouraging to me, the tech they sent was a bit of a know-it-all, somewhat negative and the price was high. As a result, I searched out another fence installer, and found A Fencing Builders. One big advantage of the job is the fact that Murf owns the company, does his own estimates, is on the job when the fence goes in, and does his best to work WITH me, instead of just FOR me. He originally came to view the overall job; he kept in touch with me on the progress, obtained all the permits for me and even filled in all the forms for me to sign. He made some excellent suggestions. I am hoping the end of the job turns out as well as the beginning!

Consulted about my desires and gave input on final plan, estimate in timely fashion, excellent price, set appointment a little farther out than I wanted but still acceptable, stayed in contact and worked around lousy weather, built beautiful fence surprisingly quickly but with good detail, I am completely satisfied.

Murf, owner of company, spent long time giving us information and guidance to help us decide on the best type of fence for our purpose, and preparing quotes. He helped give advice on the removal of trees and shrubs, and provided excellent referrals on people to contact to assist with the clearing of the land. Fence installation was completed quickly and professionally. Fence level and well installed. Great value for money. Neighbors have commented on how good the fence looks, and contacted Murf for quotes for fence installation on their property. Would use this company again.

Very friendly person (John Murphy) came promptly, gave a quote. Actual work was put off week due to busy schedule.

Responsive, easy to talk to and follows through

Everything was performed as outlined in the original proposal. It is an old fence that cannot be replaced so repair was the only choice. The repairs and fence post repairs look outstanding. The main exit gate has never been right and now looks and performs as it should. They were outstanding in keeping their appointment times. I would use them again and recommend them to everyone.

Through Angie's list, I found John Murphy and recommended his company to my friend, Rita Brooks. She was very happy with his work, and the new wooden fence he installed looks great. Thank you Mr. Murphy and Angie's list.

Murph came out and quoted a small fence job I needed done. 10' of chain link and a gate. I contacted 3 company's, he was the 1st to respond. The 2nd company thought the work I needed was to small and chose to charge me a large amount to do the work. The 3rd company....never returned my calls. Murph quotes a price I thought was more then fair and he told me the work could be completed within the week. True to his word....he came out, did the work and it looks great. I would definitely use him again for any/all of my fence & railing needs.

We could not have asked for a better experience. The quote was reasonable (after the work done admittedly I felt a little guilty). They showed up as promised and worked diligently until they were completed. We could not be happier with the experience. The quality and craftsmanship was very impressive. A very hard working crew. We are happy to share their work if someone needs to look at a job very well done! If everybody operated like this we wouldn't need an Angies List! (No Offense Angie!)

We just moved to Florida, needed a fence ASAP for our dogs. Called three fence companies and A Fence Builders Inc had the best price. John and his helpers were very professional, they install the fence when promised, they clean the yard when they were finished and john communicated with us while he was installing the fence. Very satisfied with the end result.
