I called twice and finally received a return call after two weeks. Woman apologized for lateness. Promised to send a job appraiser as soon as he was available. It’s been 5 weeks - no contact, obviously that’s how they do business. I had the fence repaired this week. Was going to call Murf and say don’t bother, but that wouldn’t be his way.

Although supplies were in high demand and fence companies were really busy, Murf was able to knock out the work in a single day with his guys. They replaced about a dozen sections including posts, and took away the old fence. It looks great. This was the second time I have used their services, and I was very pleased once again. The other sections of my very large fence, and the gates that he had previously replaced, were not damaged by the storm and held up nicely.

Owner was responsive, timely, professional. Murph & his team exceeded my high expectations and did a high quality job for a fair price. I would recommend (highly) and use again.

Everything went perfectly! The landscaping was cut back, the fence was replaced and the new posts were set into concrete. The most impressive thing is that weeks after the work was completed, my community suffered during Hurricane Irma. While most of my neighbors lost most of their fencing, mine was still intact and standing tall!

John Murphy did an amazing job. Gave me lots of options and found just the right setup.

John was great, kept to his quote, no surprises. Very efficient work. Has lots of options for fencing. His workers were great at cleaning up the yard afterwards. I had to move the gate afterwards but he gave me his lowest price for the adjustment. No doubt I would use again on my next home.

Murf and his crew did an excellent job. He has impeccable integrity! I would hire him again in an instant and recommend him to anyone who needs the services he provides.

It went smoothly and very, very well. John handled everything from permits through day of installation. He would respond to my texts immediately when I had questions and he was always available for advice. The finished fencing and gate is BEAUTIFUL. The crew was excellent and had this big job finished in a day and a half. It was a pleasure working with John and we would definitely recommend A Fence Builders highly. Beautiful job!

They've been terrific. The guy has been pretty good. He called me and said the gate has just come in and he will be installing it as soon as he gets down here. He's a small business. He has been very responsive. He texted me earlier this week apologizing for not coming sooner, but I told him it was fine because last week my father died and I couldn't have had him do it sooner. He had to measure. He had to order the fence gate and that took a couple of weeks. He should be coming in the next couple of weeks. He is really responsive and a really nice guy. He has been in touch with me. Hopefully within two weeks I should have my gate installed. If I had problems within the next month I will lower my rating. He was very professional. He came and seemed to know what he was doing. He seemed like a really nice guy. He is less than some of the others I got. Idon't know if he automatically gives me a 5% discount because I'm an Angie's List member.

They did a great job! The employees and owner himself all worked together doing a great job. They left the jobsite clean, and the fence looks great! I think this company is one of the few that does it right from beginning to end.

He was great to work with. He came out and did an estimate right away. He gave me a window for the work to be completed and it was done exactly by his word. We wound up changing the distance and he deducted accordingly. His team is great! I had him come back already and do more work. He's very bust and for good reason. Top notch contractor! He is worth the wait.

We were really happy. John Murphy is the owner. I emailed him and I called him. He was very responsive and came out, gave us an estimate. He did the work by the estimated time he had told us. We thought he was very fair. We were just really happy, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. We would absolutely call them again.

He was prompt, professional and did better than expected work. Extremely satisfied.

It went great. Estimate was accurate, they worked with me on small changes, did the work quickly and efficiently.

John's quote was in line with another installer, however I went with John as he was more personable-if you can call a New Jersey/New Yorker personable- :). The major issue was the permit. I could be wrong but I think as John was on vacation and busy at the time, when the permit stalled at the county, his office asst. was not on top off it until I inquired/complained, which cost a month. Once permit was done, the work was generally quick. Someone got black paint on white PVC which could have been prevented. I was able to get most of it off. Overall, I would hire him again!

Excellent communication; service was performed in a timely manner, pricing was as expected. Will strongly consider when comes time to replace more of my fence.

John Murphy is a pleasure to do business with. He got the job done fast and professionally. Always available through email and fence is quality work.
