+ -1 moreNot big on reviews, but I had to leave a glowing review because I am so pleased with both the work and the finished product! I called Kincaid Electric out to add two outlets in my living room, and to install my new Samsung Frame TV. I wanted it to look super professional with no wires, flush mount, etc. My husband and I DIY’ed a fireplace in our living room and needed an outlet added for the electric fireplace insert. The two guys who came out were on time, very professional and very clean (no mess when they left!). They asked me questions as the installation went along to be totally sure they understood my desires. They read the directions for the TV and fireplace and made sure to set things up ‘just so.’ The results are FANTASTIC. The TV looks like a million bucks - we are thrilled! Really pleased with the quality of work these guys did and would not hesitate to call them back out for future electrical needs.

+ -1 moreDO NOT CALL! Not even for a QUOTE! They charged me for coming to the house and not doing any service. Back in March 2018 I called a few electricians to get quotes for installing a water heater. A few companies came to my house and realized it was not possible to install it. Kincaid was one of them. None of the other companies charged me, except Kincaid. They never mentioned there was gonna be a charge, and now 8 months later they decided to send me a bill for $85 for a "service call". When I asked the owner to cancel the invoice - he refused. If every other company who came to my house charged me for not doing any service I would be in trouble. I don't understand how they wanna stay in business if they treat customers like this. They do not care about customer service. They care about MONEY a bit too much. I don't know if they are good electricians, because they never worked at my house, but this I can tell you: they are not courteous to their customers.

+ -1 moreTerrible. As we said above we believe from the experience we had that they put in bad batteries that we paid a high price for. Plus we feel that we were charged for replacing the smoke detector that they provided when we believe it was not necessary. In other words we paid a lot of money for what? We did try to contact them by sending a message through their website. They did not respond to it. Plus our lawyer sent them a letter which they did not respond to.
Description of Work: We called them because one of our smoke detectors was chirping and my husband did not know it had batteries. They went and replaced the batteries in all the smoke detectors. We did not ask them to do that and we did not give them permission to do that. They charged an outrageous amount for those batteries which could be purchased at Walmart or the Dollar Store for a fraction of that amount. A few days later a different smoke detector was saying low battery. They came out and took away that smoke detector and got one out of their truck and installed it. We felt that was overkill for a low battery. We did not buy or provide a smoke detector. About a week later in the middle of the night another smoke detector went off in the middle of the night.. We called the fire department and they put in a new battery and we have had no trouble with that smoke detector. And then a few weeks later another smoke detector went off and my husband changed the battery and now we have had no more trouble. Our conclusion is it was overkill and expensive to replace one of their smoke detectors for a low battery and we paid a high price for bad batteries that they installed. We did try to contact them through their website and left a message on their website about our unhappiness with their work. Plus, our lawyer sent them a letter. We never got a response from the website message or from the letter our lawyer sent them.

+ -1 moreCrew came in and replaced all smoke detectors. Did not label the electrical panel, instead we-wrote on the old labels. Poor job. Then I called back and crew came to do what was expected. New labels, digitally printed and professionally installed.

The touch screen control panel is simple for all family members to operate. Installation of the alarm system on my older home was trouble free. + -1 moreWe had an appt scheduled for Friday, Oct 7 and with the impending storm projection, the company has closed for the day. When our appt passed without a service rep showing. I waited a couple hours and called the company. I spoke w/Allan Kincaid who explained they had given their employees the day off due to the predicted weather from Hurrricane Matthew, he also explained that it would probably be Mon or Tues to get someone out to us. I explained that we were only visiting for a few days and would it be at all possible to have someone come out on Saturday. He then offered to contact one of his men and see if they could accomodate us that day or the next. Within 20 minutes he called me back and stated a service tech would be at my residence within the hour. Scott Britt is the service tech, who took time out of his day off to assist us. He trouble shooted the issue (a burnt wire in timer box) and had it repaired within 45 - 60 minutes. It was nice to work with such a caring and accomodating company, who has professional staff that seems to care about their customers. Huge thanks to Allan Kincaid and Scott Britt, for dedicated service to customers, even during what could have been catastrophic weather. I will definately recommend their company and call them in the future for my electrical needs.

+ 0 moreAs stated above....very excellent decision to go with Kincaid Electrical Services. I had other estimates but had a good feeling about them. Everything was explained and all work was done to meet my expectations. I would recommend them without any doubt.
Description of Work: Service upgrade to 200A for house. Demo/rewiring of outside bldg. New lighting, outlets, switches. Other issues that were found were repaired and resolved to pass inspection. This is an older house that had major electrical issues. I can not say enough good about Kincaid Electrical Services. They were promt, professional, and were very reasonable considering the amount of work needed.

He called me within a couple of days to give me the estimate. I thought it was reasonable for the amount of work they were going to be doing. They came out and did the work all in one day. They came when they said they would. When one of the motion detector lights was not working properly, they came right back out and adjusted it. I am very happy with what they did.
