They were prompt to return calls and provide an estimate for two jobs (wall reconstruction and rebuilding a mailbox). They started the work for the wall on schedule and matched stone with the existing stone on the rest of the home and completed the work prior to Christmas. The quality was great and we moved forward with the second job.

Being the owner of a company in the construction industry for over 30 yrs. I found them to have responded for our quote in a timely , and professional manner. Unfortunately for us we had a short period of time to get our project completed, and being that they were busy, we couldn't make our schedules work. Therefore we ended up using another contractor. We would definitely consider them in the future.

In both cases I was extremely pleased with the service! They provided a written estimate that was reasonable and scheduled the work promptly. Joey did an excellent job on the actual repair and paid great attention to detail. Would definitely use them again!

Contacted JC Masonry in May to get an estimate on the project. Promptly received a reply. Sent pictures of the areas whe the work would be performed. Received a reply and estimate that also said the schedule was filling up fast and they were scheduling in July already. I signed the contract about two weeks after i received it and sent it back. Cathi replied I would be on the schedule for the week of August 16 and asked if that would still be ok. I said it would. She kept in touch to let me know the date was still good. The week before she said that Joey would be there on the date scheduled to start the project but would stop by the day before to look at the bricks on the house so he could find a match. Joey did stop by and came the next day to start the excavation to pour footings for the columns. He also brought brick samples. They were a geat match to the bricks on the house which were 12 years old. Joey did a great job on all of the elements. He matched the style of the columns to the columns on the front porch and also matched the brickwork on the steps to the overall design of the existing brick work. It is hard to tell the work was not done at the same time the house was built. Joey was extremely professional and is a true perfectionist and artisan. We are extremely pleased with the final results and are already planning to have Joey do some additional work next summer.

We wholeheartedly recommend Joey's work! We purchased a house in Tampa that needed extensive work and, by the time we turned our attention to repairing the fireplace, we had a rich and varied experience dealing with contractors and subcontractors. Joey was one of the best contractors we worked with. His work product is impeccable, he worked quickly and efficiently, and he suck to the agreed timeline. He was tidy and respectful of our home and privacy which was very important to us. His office support headed by his wife Cathi, was just as impressive. We received great suggestions -- from links to web sites to in-person telephone conversations -- for different types of brick and fireplace doors. Joey and Cathi will be back in our area in a month or so, and we very much look forward to working with them again. This time, Joey will be doing stucco work on our house.

He did an excellent job. He did quality work, and gave a reasonable price. I would definitely use him again.

Joey was very quick to respond with an estimate of the work and actually found another crack which he fixed at no additional cost. I was very happy with the repairs.

I first contacted J.C. Masonry in the fall of 2011 to see if they could squeeze in some repairs before winter. I was told they were booked and not available until April. I called back and left a message in early February to see about scheduling the service for April. I recieved a call back a few days later and was told they were now booked until June. I think this is a terrbile way to run a business and have moved on to another company.

Excellent - Joey showed up on time, very personable and professional! A true craftsman with attention to detail, worked efficiently and non-intrusive. Very neat - cleamed up the area each day when finished. Window looks beautiful and we would definitely call him in the future should the need arise foir masonry work also, have recommended him to neighbors.

I have an circa 1880s victorian home in Denver. A detached garage garage had significant decay of mortar between bricks; in the main house, there was decay of bricks from chronic water damage around window and the chimney needed repointing. Joey (owner of JC Masonry Improvements) came by, gave a careful assessment of what was needed, a reasonable estimate of repair costs, and did the work promptly. I am very satisfied with his work.

We had concrete block broken out on our foundation at the back of our house due to a plumbing emergency and needed masonry help to get it replaced. Additionally, we had wanted to get an old exterior doorway blocked up with matching stucco brick on the outside. Found Joey's company on Angie's List and gave him a call. We're in Florida, and even though he was based in Denver, I heard from them within just a few days. Happily, I was told that they were enroute to Florida to set up shop nearby. I've never had masonry work done before, and never had the opportunity to do it myself so I wasn't sure of the price. But Joey's quote was right about where I had hoped. The work was performed flawlessly, and much better than I had ever hoped it could be. If I didn't know where the holes and doorway were before, I would never be able to tell that it had been repaired. Our house is 34 years old, so we were worried that no one would be able to come close to matching the work done on the stucco to make it appear to be brick facing. Joey matched it perfectly - unbelieveable! As for Joey and Cathi (his wife), I can't say enough good things. She is very pleasant to talk to and handles the business side of things perfectly. He is truly an old-school craftsman and is very hard working, personable and honest. We've already gotten several other quotes from him for other masonry projects and/or fixes around the house and we plan on using him after the holidays and any other chance we get! If you need masonry or stucco work done, and done right; Joey is the guy to call.

Excellent. Special care with making sure weather was appropriate for type of repair. Took his time and made sure each patch was filled and dried correctly. Spent two days on repairs (Thurs/Fri) and followed back up on Monday to check that they dried well. A little more expensive than other estimates, but we wanted to have this done correctly the first time and am very pleasedwith results. We will be having additional work done in the spring with JC Masonry.

I looked up J.C. Masonry Improvements, Inc. on Angie's list to repair some brickwork on my front porch and steps. I left two messages, one on 10/07/2011 and another on 10/08/2011. No one bothered to return my call. I wouldn't us them now if they were the last masonry company in Colorado.

I think he’s great and I really liked him. I liked everything that was said on Angie’s list about him. I don’t know if I’m going to use him because I don’t know if I’m going to do masonry porches or not. I haven’t decided if I’m going to do stucco or masonry, or if I’m going to do wood. So until I decide that, I don’t know what it’s going to be. He did give me a quote and he came out. He’s very popular and in demand, and so he was a little hard to schedule. That was my only thing. I had to wait but I was not going to do it till next year. So it was not a big deal for me. I have to just decide if I’m going to do a brick porch or not. Everything about him is good except that he’s just busy. In order to get him we have to wait, both for the estimate and for his work. That’s good for him but not for the consumer who might want something done right away, so it’s not good for the consumer. I will consider using his services again in the future.

Overall, it made an out of the ordinary expenditure seem worth it!

We had our basement refinished a couple of years ago, but we were very unhappy with the stonework done on our fireplace. We looked on Angie's List for a stone mason who specialized in fireplaces and found J.C. Masonry. Cathi and Joey are very professional and courteous to work with. Joey came by and gave us a fair estimate for the work to be done and provided detailed material requirements to help us keep our costs down and be ready for the work to be done. We showed Joey some of the areas on the fireplace we were unhappy with. He found areas for improvement that we hadn't even thought of but that made a lot of aesthetic sense. Joey was very easy to work with and not only listened to our design suggestions, but worked with us to find a solution we could all agree with. Joey worked diligently and timely. He actually was able to start the project a week ahead of schedule. Joey's eye for detail and color is amazing and he is a pleasure to work with. He is truly an old world style craftsman. He also cleaned up very well at the end of each work day. The fireplace is now the focal point in the basement it was intended to be. We are truly in awe of the work done and enjoy our newly refinished fireplace very much! We definitely will work with J.C. Masonry again and highly recommend their stone and masonry work to anyone looking for high quality.

They did a wonderful job. We had this decorated brick wall in front of our porch and it was all cracked. He redid it. He found the matching brick for the house which is 50 years old. He did a great job. I rate him high overall. He was very competent and helpful.

Smooth as silk. He showed up when he said he would, cleaned and prepped the area, gladly answered any questions I had along the way, and completed the project. I took before, during, and after photos to give to him for his own website. This guy is a true craftsman.

It's a one-man business. He came out and gave me an honest quote. The work he did was of good quality.

It could not have been a more pleasant experience. I wish we could clone him for every possible trade. He is a true craftsman. He knows exactly what he doing - and does it to perfection. He showed up exactly on time for the estimate and each day he worked on the bricks. What a joy! Wish he and his wife could give lessons on professionalism to every American - because we would never want to buy anything not made in our country. I cannot give him enough praise!!!!

The person who came out was very knowledgeable, professional and customer friendly. He came out twice as I was not at home when he came out the first time. He wanted to come back and speak to me and show me what actually he would do. His price was a little high but he was going to do quite a bit more work than any of the other people. I might go ahead with him.

All the work was performed as promised and in a professional manner. The work area was picked up everyday. I was involved with all decisions that needed to be made. Cathy, was in contact with me continueously, keeping me aware of the timetable---what was happining next. It took a little longer than I had hoped, partly due to rain, but it was worth the wait. I have had many compliments on the overall appearance. I couldn't be happier.

Overall, we are very pleased with J.C. Masonry. They indicated when they were scheduling jobs (masonry seems to be quite busy now) and kept in contact with us throughout the process. When the work was being completed, there was a slight delay with the arrival of the capstones, but all representatives from J.C. Masonry (Joey and Cathi) made sure to keep in contact with us to let us know exactly what was happening. This was very courteous and appreciated. We are extraordinary pleased with finding a masonry contractor that is professional, timely, and accurate with expectations. Both Joey and Cathi were super nice and down to earth people. We will be utilizing their services for a job in March and will be contacting J.C. Masonry to do more work as the need arises. Thank you so much Joey and Cathi!

They didn't charge me anything for the estimate. They broke everything down by price, so that I could pick what I wanted to do. It was really clear what the cost would be and what the break down was. The person who came out to give the estimate seemed knowledgeable. He taught me a little bit about the process that they do for concrete repair. They are a little bit more expensive, but I'm still thinking about it.

Went great was right on schedule. Had to replace some bricks so he took time to look at my stash and go over everything in detail even before giving me an estimate.
