Window Doctor

Jerks. Scheduled a window review for a large job but they said needed 3 weeks to get out there since they were busy. 2 days before appointment get a sheepish message that one of their guys crashed on of their trucks so would visit in 2 weeks. Night before the new date leave a message that the job is too far and they are canceling . Unreliable buffoons

I was overcharged for the labor and material. Told me the reason was that they pay their repair people $100/hour. Buyer beware.

Would not come out to give estimate.

Fri 2/12/16 I stopped in with a picture of sliding door handle/ lock. Told associate a handyman was coming to my home Sat 2/13 morning to repair or replace on two doors. Wanted to know if they had a replacement. He said yes. Great, if handyman couldn't repair I'd come by Sat. morning to buy replacement(s). Their web site said they were open Sat. The associate said they would be closed this particular Sat, 2/13. I asked if I could buy 2 handle/locks and return them Mon. 2/15 if they were not needed. He said, yes, and hand wrote on my receipt, "OK to return if not open". Handyman was able to fix the handle/locks and I went to the location to return both handle/locks, today Mon. 2/15/16.. They were in the original bag and sealed packaging. The woman who came to the counter was immediately, extremely rude and nasty. In all my years shopping I've never been treaded so badly. I asked her a couple of times, why are you being so nasty? I haven't said or done anything to you. She made some reference to the owner. She insisted on taking a 15% "restocking fee"...restock...they threw the packaged handles into a bin!!! The bottom of the receipt states: "All sales final/no cash returns 15% restocking fee on all returns". I assumed this wouldn't apply to me since the associate wrote" OK to return if not open" and made no mention of the 15% fee...I only bought them because they were not going to be open on Sat. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AND WILL TELL EVERYONE IN MY DEVELOPMENT OF 396 THE SAME in our newsletter. I asked the man standing next to me if he'd ever had problems with this company and he said he was only there because the store down the street was very busy and had a long line. I can see why !!!!!

Installation went well. The problem arose when the double pane window that they installed started looking frosty in areas about a year after replacement. This is usually an indication that the seal is broken. I kept forgetting to call to report the problem until December of 2015. When I did call, Bridget told me that a manager would call be back to discuss, but I never received a call. Three weeks later, I called again and Bridget told me she was helping someone else and would call me back. Five hours later, I called back and was told there was noting they would do for me since the installation was over a year ago. She asked me to find the receipt and fax it to the office and when I asked why she couldn't look it up on the computer, I was told she couldn't do that. I asked to speak with a manager and was told no manager was available until I said that I would be writing a review for Angie's List. Joanne came to the phone and said no windows are guaranteed for more than a year but she would set up a new service appointment for someone to come out and look at the window at my cost. I didn't feel that I should pay for a service call for a defected product and/or installation. As I tried to explain my case, Joanne kept cutting me off until she finally said to me that she wouldn't stand being abused anymore. I asked how I was abusing her as I was not cursing, belitting her or yelling. She told me that I was "a very demanding customer." Joanne said that she would gracefully discount the labor which I don't know what that means and she wouldn't be specific. This poor customer service and the way they treated a problem I brought to their attention warrants letting others know to beware. I will not use them again nor will I ever recommend this company to others.

Damian and company did an outstanding job. The crews were professional, clean and prompt. All work was completed as promised and modifications were handled immediately. After an initial misfit on some of the screens, Damian sent out a new crew to re-measure, remake and re-install. He promised to make us happy and he certainly lived up to his word. For our inconvenience, they even re-screened additional doors at no extra charge. This is the third time Window Doctor in the Palm Beach area. Every experience has been excellent and I will absolutely call them in the future for any window or door needs. I encourage anyone to call them and see for yourself. Thanks Damian. Over 1 hour late arrival for estimate. Said they could do the job to include a 3 month warranty. Called me the next day with estimate of $1,080.00 and said again would include 3 month warranty. Needing service ASAP I gave $300.00 deposit without obtaining estimates from other service providers. They then sent me a written contract that did not mention any warranty but stated "There is no guarantee aon any future leakage due fact that Window Doctor, Inc. did not do the original installation." They refused to include the language that would warrant the work they did on the 3 entire windows and track for a 3 month period without including they would not guarantee future leakage. I refuse to do business with someone that stated one thing and would not put it in writing. I did get me deposit back.

I called them service times and they were going to send someone out to fix the work. They told me if it was an issue that was not their fault they would change $65.00 for the services just to come out.

Poorly

Called them for an estimate on fixing my sliding glass doors. They were double my last estimate and then wanted to charge me $69.95 just for the estimate if we didn't do the work. I was never told on the phone about a service call charge or I would never have had them even come to the house. When I balked at the price they then said they might be able to do it for 1/2 the original estimate.Very bad experience and totally unprofessional.

The work was done well with one exception that took some haggling and some months to get fixed. My main complaint is the price. For the price I paid it should have been easier to get the one pane of glass fixed. I have found cheaper options to fix broken panes of glass since I used the Window Dr.

Excellent but not cpeap.

I had to reschedule the appointment due to my son's work schedule. No problem, gave me a date that would work for him. They came out on time, measured, cut the glass and installed it into the frame. They were in and out in no time.

They were polite. Showed up on time. The price was very well worth it.
