+ -1 moreVery unprofessional. Very pushy in selling windows that he receives high profit margin. Didn't want to sell the windows that i wanted. When asking questions, insults me by saying if i was an engineer and hangs up the phone. Was giving me quotes over the phone without coming out to the job site.

+ -1 moreExcellent. I interviewed Home Depot, FAS and left 2 messages for Window World who never returned my calls. The first two quoted me $7,000, but Tom at Colonial quoted me $4,200. I hired him in part due to price but also due to his excellent rating on Google under "window replacement orlando". My windows were a rare style and had to be special ordered. Installation was done in Janaury 2016 while I was at work, and I have had no problems whatsoever. If you plan to remain in your home this is one investment you will never regret paying for, and I highly recommend Tom and his Team at Colonial.

Description of Work: Came to put in New sliding glass doors. The area had some water damage and the job was not easy, however, they did come twice to consult and measure so it shouldn't have been a huge surprise. The issues were clearly visible. $250 for $700 worth of work was a joke. They just joke up there prices. The sales man couldn't even tell us the brand of windows. The handles were supposed to be ornate, which they were not. It took at least 4 days for them to get the Windows hauled away. Caulking was missing in areas. The broke the casing on my outside spot lights and justified it as having been dry rot. While the lights were certainly not in any grand condition, they were also not hanging from broken casing until this service was performed. I would not recommend this company. The only jewel is a man named Daryl who does some of the installation, but he is forced to work beside incompetent people that cause issues.

Description of Work: Had some problem with scheduling for measuring and installing and getting the permit but once all that was done and the installers got here they went right to work and got the job done in 3 hours and we're very happy with our new windows, the installers did a great job not only of installing our windows but also cleaning up when they were done, they even put our blinds and curtains back up for us...

+ -1 moreI met with Tom from Colonial Industries to discuss replacement of 5 windows in my house. I am a first time home buyer and single person and my parents wanted to pay my new windows. I could tell immediately he was knowledgeable and he treated me like a person not just another sale. He was very kind in explaining my options and he even showed me around my own neighborhood to point out some of the things I had never even noticed about the different types of windows and configurations. Tom was extremely thorough and made the process extremely simple for me. He worked with my parents on the cost side and made the installation process painless for me. My parents told me his price was very competitive and it was a pleasure to work with him. I would recommend Tom and Colonial Industries to my neighbors, in fact I already have.

+ 0 moreThe worker came out and looked at the French Door that I thought I would need to replace because the glass was getting foggy. He told me that he thought it was just the glass that needed replaced, not the entire door. He quoted me $1000 for the window. An hour later, after consulting with his glass specialist, he called me back and told me that it would be $1300 and because I bought the Angie's List Big Deal, he would take $300 off. Bringing the price back to $1000. This doesn't seem fair to me.
Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal for $99 of $300 credit towards windows or doors.

Description of Work: They offered a coupon to spend $500 and receive $2000 worth of windows. When the salesmen arrived, he scoffed at me wanting to spend just $500, he said it wasnt worth his time. I was talked into spending an additional $2500 for 7 windows. Installation was complete and windows look great. However, 2 of the windows upstairs have no screens. I have been assured that the screens will be delivered but I have been given no timeline for it and its now been a month. The installer had to cut the top screens on my screenroom to install the windows. I cannot get those screens fixed until the screens for the windows are installed. Very frustrating.
