The previous owners did us no favors when they updated the bathrooms in this house built in 1988. While installing some pretty tile they removed the original vanities and replaced them with pedestal sinks in two bathrooms (absolutely no storage, no counters). In this master bathroom they then tiled in and around the original corner shower but did nothing to extend it across the rest of the width of the room. This left about a square yard of wasted space. You almost had to open the shower door to bend over to wash your feet! We've been using a tub/shower in another bathroom for the past five years until we could get to this project. Our new shower is about 2 1/2 times larger with grab bars and a seat to accommodate adults who hope to live here until they are quite senior! Jand J's folks were very friendly and very flexible to accommodate our wishes (or tell us quite nicely that they were dumb or impractical ideas!) and went beyond the call of duty to find us just what was needed. Their part of the project is completed but the bathrooms aren't quite done yet (vanities on order). We'll be calling them back next year when the next major project will be new floors!
