Description of Work: This person is not an architect even though he advertises as one. I found him under ARCHITECT in Lake City. He wrote up a contract and asked for $2500 for a 50% deposit to draw our house plans. When I called i told him I needed an architect to draw my plans. At no time during any of our meetings or phone calls did he ever state he WAS NOT OR HAS NEVER BEEN TO SCHOOL TO EVEN BEGIN SCHOOL AS AN ARCHITECT. What prompted me to question his qualifications were the house plans that were returned to us. The main house did not have a bathroom, did not have any closets, an A/C handler area, etc. The most concerning was no bathroom in the main part of the house. I was quite concerned over this, so I started to do internet and license searches on Daniel Shaheen DDS Studios out of Lake City, FL. Needless to say, my complaint was not the first. In 2007 he was served with a Cease and Desist order stating he could no longer portray himself or advertise under architect headings or use Architect in any of his advertisements. Apparently, the slap on the wrist he received from the state did not stop him from continuing to portray himself as and architect. All of his websites and advertisements (over 40 that I found) showed him advertising as an architect. Daniel Shaheen is a crook and is not an architect. He was being sued by three other people when we filed our lawsuit against him and did not know this until we filed. Conveniently, he decided to file bankruptcy which caused us to lose our $2500 deposit with him. This guy is a fraud. He was being sued by Discover Card, Merrilat Cabinets and his house was being foreclosed on. However, during his bankruptcy hearing he was able to show that he contributed and had the money to contribute $12,000 towards Mead Ministries church, but could not pay his debts. I strongly suggest running away from and not towards this company or individual. This guy is a FRAUD AND A CROOK.. He took advantage of people, yet drives a new truck and lives in a pretty decent neighborhood. He is the master of CONS! Look up his name, Daniel Shaheen, with the state of Fl, then DDS studios. Also look into Columbia county, fl clerk of the court and see the lawsuits that were filed against him. Including ours - Randy & Tracy Good. Then, go to the Middle district Bankruptcy court in Jacksonville, fl and pull up his financial records showing him bankrupt, yet he had $12,000 to donate to the church and then tell me this guy isn't a fraud.

Description of Work: He drew house plans without a main bathroom in the house. I have all the proof, documents and e-mails showing his lack of communication and State investigation information (past and present). THIS GUY IS INEXPERIENCED AND FILED BANKRUPTCY TO KEEP FROM PAYING ALL THE COMPANIES AND PEOPLE SUING HIM (HE FILED BANKRUPTCY PERSONALLY AND ON THE BUSINESS, THEN RENAMED THE BUSINESS USING AN LLC AFTER HE WAS SUED!)
