Touchstone Heating & Air

I tried to leave a review on the company's website, but it got deleted before I could post it. I'm going to try again. This company gave prompt service, but that was where everything went wrong. Their service call fee is either $100 or $125, I was told there was no difference for night or weekend calls originally, but this changed the last time I spoke with a rep. The total bill was for $465 plus tax... They replace two parts: a dual run capacitor that should have run around $30 and a contactor that should have run around $75... but I got charged for $340 for parts. The service call lasted less than 60 minutes. I have tried to get an itemized invoice showing the price of the service call with each part and price along with a warranty from this company for over a month now. The last thing I was told was, "We bill a flat fee and never itemize for anyone." Really?? What business does this? Would you take a car for repair and not expect an itemized bill showing labor and price for each part? Would you dine out and not expect an itemized bill showing the cost of each meal? Would you check out at the grocery store and not expect an itemized receipt showing how much you paid for each item? NO! Not only can I not get a written itemized bill, but I can’t get a written warranty either. On top of that, the credit card that was used to pay for this call was compromised 3 days later to the tune of over $900… I’m not saying that this company had anything to do with that, but at this point I can’t give them the benefit of the doubt. Be warned, THIS COMPANY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!

The repair team from Touchstone was exceptional. We have hired them as our regular AC repair and maintenance service after hiring them last year to clean our 30 year old AC ducts as things in the house were smelling stuffy. At that time last year the ducts were cleaned and sanitized and all went well for most of the year then things were a little dusty smelling again. This time the team installed a plasma generator as requested by me, inspected the duct work in the attic thoroughly and taped up two places, and inspected the vents for cleanliness. Jeff, the one who seemed to be in charge said that we did not need to have duct work cleaned again as it was still clean (and showed me). He stated that the generator should do the trick. They installed the generator and cleaned up after their work. Very friendly and very professional. Each time they visit for service each of their employees has always been fantastic and are very honest and up front about pricing. I like to watch workers do their jobs to learn new things and these guys were very informative and thorough. They showed me all of their work and explained everything. We have had many AC repair and install folks throughout the years and I have to say that Touchstone is my favorite. This visit I was only charged for the install of the Generator and a little for the duct repair. The plasma generator seems to really work well as the air in the house is smelling so fresh! I would not hesitate to recommend these guys.

Mark the owner is a great guy,he did a great job to our mobile home vent system is working like never before i already recomended to my sister,any body that has regular duct system should do this investment to lower the electric biil ,and more important breathe clean air

My a/c unit that was in my home was costing us a arm and leg to run it After Mark Touchstone installed the new system with the heat pump we have Saved over $400.00 this winter so far. And the winter is not even over yet !! This has been the coldest winter in over 20yrs here in Fl with temps staying in the teen's to 20's and 30;s for two months now I thank God for Mark Touchstone 's Heating and Air

A few weeks later the a/c caused power drain on electrical system in house. A different company came out and I saw with my own eyes that a used, damaged capacitor had been installed. Luckily we caught it before it damaged the compressor. To Touchstone's credit, they returned my money, but this could have had a more serious outcome had we not caught it immediately.
