+ -1 moreNORM WAS POLITE PROFESSIONAL AND ON TIME. NO CHARGE FOR SERVICE CALL. GREAT GUY. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Description of Work: GE DISHWASHER WAS MAKING INTERMITEN GRINDING NOISE. NORM CAME ON TIME AS PROMISED AND DISHWASHER STOPPED MAKING SOUND. NORM THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE THE MOTOR BUT WOULD NOT REPLACE IT BECAUSE OF THE COST. I AGREED WITH HIS DECISION. HE TOOK WASHING ARM OFF AND CLEANED UNDERNEATH IT FOUND A LITTLE PIECE OF PLASTIC.

Description of Work: Norm advertised we don't charge if we don't fix. After 2 visits to repair a leak and no cooling in the refrigerator norm stated I can't fix it. The frig was cooling but still had a water leak. I told norm that based on his ad I will stop the $316 check I gave him the first day...he replied that he wanted his parts back. His wife told me that they would be back the next day with the sheriff to get in my condo to get what he referred to as his parts..also on the second visit he tore a small piece of Formica off my kitchen cabinet..I watched him do that with my tenant...I told him I wanted to think about the whole ordeal and would send a letter to him with what I felt I owed him ....he had no concern about my kitchen cabinet...I received 2 more calls with sheriff threats and such and then went to see the sheriff personally. The sheriff informed me that they would never go to my condo with him to enter and take parts from my frig.....I mailed check to cover his cost of the parts less $30 for damage done....the check was for $120. The cost To repair the damage would far exceed $30 I charged norm if I had it fixed professionally .....so I have a refrig that gets cold but has a water leak..I will still need to replace the frig for my tenant.....norm didn't honor his ad about no charge if can't fix....plus all the drama about parts and sheriff and court. I would never use him again

+ -1 moreHe was on time, extremely courteous and professional and offered to reduce his already reasonable service call fee. I did not do that because his $45 fee is less than others I checked before calling him.
Description of Work: Norm came to find out why the door water dispenser wasn't working after a new filter had been installed by me. It had not worked for three days but when I went to show him the Robles- water spurted out! He ran five glasses of water and it worked fine. I also had him remove the buzzer wire in my drier.

+ -1 moreI called Norm in the morning and he said that he would be here between 1 and 3 PM. He was prompt and rang the doorbell about 1:15 PM. He was very courteous, professional and knowledgeable. Took the dryer apart, replaced the bad fuse, cleaned the dryer out with a shop-vac and re-assembled the dryer in under an hour. A very good service experience. Thanks Norm.

+ -1 moreNorm originally told me he would be over between 1:00 and 4:00pm on the day of installation. He called at 12:30pm to let me know he would be there at 1:00pm which is very unusual in Florida that a service guy would call and let you know when he'll be there. Norm was very professional and hooked up both washer and dryer in an appropiate time. He double checked all water and gas connections for leaks. The price I was charged was very fair for the work done. I would highly recommend Norm to friends and relatives. Thank you Angies List for a great repair / installer reference.

+ -1 moreI telephoned Norm, left a voicemail and he got back to me within an hour. We agreed for him to come the next day between noon and 2.00pm. The next day he telephoned at about 12.30 to confirm he was on his way. he did the work thoroughly and quickly and showed me how to repair the problem myself if it recurred in future. He also gave us some helpful insights into other appliances in the house. He is a definite and quot;keeper' I will use him without hesitation for any future appliance repairs.

+ -1 moreIt was late in the evening when I called Norm but he answered my call and set up a time to come out the very next morning. We tried each of the 2 parts that could have been the problem and found it was the second one that we needed. He only charged us the one service call even though he made 3 trips total. We were only charged for the end part and the washer is working good as new! So happy to have found Norm!!
Description of Work: Norm came and had to run a diagnostics test on our washer. Of course when he came it decided not to act up. He put a part on and told us to see if that changed anything but no such luck. In all he made three trips to our home to be sure that we got the right part that we needed. He did not charge for each trip and only charged us for the part after we used it for the whole weekend to be sure that all was good. The washer works like a charm now! I highly recommend norm and would use him again for any other appliances that might act up. We are very satisfied customers.

+ -1 moreI found online the possible problem, a clutch. Looked online to see if I could fix. Found an excellent video, but too much for me to do. Contacted Norm's from recommendation on Angies List and he came the next morning. He looked over the machine, knew exactly the problem and had the part in his truck. I mention the video because he did everything exactly as the video had shown. He spent about an hour. Even cleaned up some of the parts in the washer and tub. Very professional and neat worker. Very knowledgeable too.
Description of Work: Washing machine spin cycle was not spinning fast enough to remove all water from clothes. Clutch needed replacement.

+ -1 moreI called Norm and told him that my Whirlpool Duet washing machine was not working properly and described what it was doing. He said he would be over soon to check it out. When he arrived he almost immediately diagnosed the issue as a faulty pump and said he would be back in the morning with a new one. The next morning Norm arrived with the new pump, installed it, turned on the machine and ran it through a cycle to see if the machine was running properly, which it was.
Description of Work: The pump was replaced on my whirlpool duet washing machine.

Description of Work: I called Norm about my refriderator's drip pan. He said it would be cheaper for me to order it and do it myself. He told me over the phone how to do and it took about 20 mins. Description of Work: Our Maytag front-loading clothes washer was not draining. We called Norm's Appliance at 8am, and he was able to fit us into his schedule. His demeanor was very professional. He explained what the problem was with the washer (a water pump clogged with a coin), then proceeded to fix it. Overall cost was $60.00. We have already recommended him to family members, and they ended up using his company, too.
