Fortin Construction Inc. was our choice to convert our Lanai into a Florida Room. Pierre saw our vision and made suggestions that truly made the finished project everything we hoped it would be. All of his workers and sub-contractors were always courteous and careful to leave a clean work area at the end of the day. Questions during the process were minimal because we were provided with a step by step plan of the scheduled work. Any delays were communicated and every effort was made to lessen the impact on the completion date. We are very happy with the result.

I cannot say enough about this company. They always arrived when they said they would. I have never had a contractor as polite and neat in their work as Pierre Fortin. They took care of every detail and did not disrupt the household. I would HIGHLY recommend Pierre Fortin Construction for any project! They also will be the first people I call if I need another project completed in our home.

Dear Pierre, We want to thank you very much for building my wife’s sewing room (Hobby room) onto our home. It has become a real joy for her with the sewing and quilting that she loves to do. The completed room looks like it was part of the original design, especially from the outside where the addition’s siding and roof are seamless. Friends comment on the excellent work done on the inside and how the room matches the design of the home. We also appreciated how clean you kept the area around the construction site - no mess, no clutter. We know that hurricane Irma presented you with some obstacles this last fall, but you kept us in the loop as The Villages recovered and you could focus on our task. We asked 4 contractors to bid on the job. Fortin Construction was not the lowest bid but it turned out to be the best choice. The job was done to perfection! The new construction matched the 15+ year old roofing and siding. We are hiring him again to make our lanai into a FLorida room.

We asked the owner (Piere Fortin) for a quote, he refused to provide quote in writing, so we decided not to hire him. He sent us a bill, which we disputed. He then proceeded to call the county inspectors on the contractors we hired, delaying our remodeling job. He ultimately placed a lien on the home and hired an attorney to strong arm my elderly parents into paying, as the attorney threatened foreclosing on the home. Should you decide to hire this company, simply ask the owner to provide in writing, prior to coming to your home, what it will cost for him to provide a quote. Then, if he does come to your home to give you the quote, make sure to ask for the quote in writing prior to proceeding.

Pierre was excellent to work with. His estimate came quickly. I got 4 different estimates from 4 oontractors. He was near the lowest bid but I felt more confident with Fortin. He seems to stay busy and took a while to start. But that wasn't a surprise. Actually, he started a little sooner than he promised. His work was good quality and it required doing the entire roofline. His subs showed up as promised. His supervisors were top class. The job site was kept clean at the end of each day. Most importantly, Fortin performed as advertised. There were no surprises.

We were very satisfied with their work. I think that their time line was too long because it took them 6 months to do this. That’s a fairly long time line for what they did. Their work was good. I probably will not use this company in the future.
