VERTICAL & SHOWER DOORS INC

On April 23 or there about of this year the owner of this company and his helper arrived to install the shower door. The job was done under the watchful eye of the owner. According to my mom, the owner is a very congenial man, very polite. At the completion of the installation it appeared all was well and my Mom was pleased until a little time had passed and she had noticed that the strips attached to the walls that would hold the door in place were uneven and unfinished at the top ends. Rough material at the top on each side was exposed.There was also an issue at the bottom of the door but I don't believe this was a major concern. My mom had both my brother and husband look at the job and it was decided this job was shoddy and needed to be redone. So my mom placed the first of quite a few calls to the company with no return call received. Time passed..my husband then call, left a message for some immediate action. A little time after the owner called my mom. He again was very congenial, came over to see the problem then indicated what needed to be done. Again time passed. It appears his initial course of action was not going to work, so after months he decided he need to be a bit more aggressive in correcting this very blatant flaw in the job. Parts had to be ordered which is understandably takes time to receive.Finally over three months and the job that my 91 year old mom already paid for finally was done properly the way it should have been initially. I feel this company deliberately did shoddy work believing this little old lady would not notice it. If they thought they made an honest mistake the boss would have caught it while on the job site or initiated a call to her to correct it. If she hadn't called him they would have gotten away with taking money from an old lady who trusted them. Very sad when this happens to unsuspecting seniors and unfortunately they are not aware they were taken advantage of but My mom, though 91 is still very sharp and know when she sees something wrong. That is all there is too it. Customer service is become rare and good honest workers are even more rare. But in their defense they did turn out a good final product but it was too little too late!!
