I got an estimate for three thousand five hundred pounds to move from Michigan to NC. They were suppose to arrive on 08/13/09 I was told by Keith that they would call 48 hours in advance to let me know what time they would arrive. The day before I tried to call all day long and no one would return my call. Finally, Bobbies assistant called. She told me she would have a truck there in two hours. This was one day earlier than I was ready for. I went ahead and agreed. The truck arrived three and one half hours later. The driver was friendly and courteous, however he had no help. He spent three hours on the phone with the company trying to get help. Finally, he said "I will sleep in the driveway until 6:30 then they will have my helper here". He handed me the phone and I spoke with a Bobbie who was called the "boss". He informed me that the driver estimated the move for at least 5000 pounds and the price was almost double. He said he would work with me, so I agreed to continue the move. Bobbie also told me that I should go ahead and get some sleep, that the helper would be there at 6:30 am. At that point I was so tired I agreed to everything. I was awake all night knowing there was a stranger parked in a rented Penske truck in my driveway and I was home alone in the country. Finally 6:30 arrived and I was awake. However, there was no helper. 10:30 rolls around and he finally arrived. The packing was efficient and timely. when the truck was packed I followed the driver to Flying J truck stop to weight the truck. I was told the truck had been weighed prior to adding my belongings. I saw the weigh slip. However it was weighed in Wisconsin and there was another load on the truck that I was not told about. I do not know if the load was weighed with mine or not. Then after the weight of over 7000 pounds, I again was told to speak with Bobbie. Bobbie told me he would split the difference with me and I would only owe another $1,640.00. Well, the truck was loaded with all of my belongings and what could I do but agree to pay. My son's medical supplies were on it as well as my whole life. Well, after driving 14 hours to get to my new home, I waited to be contacted by the movers. I waited until Saturday night. They were suppose to deliver Saturday. I called all three numbers I had for them and there were no answers, and the voice mails were full. Sunday at 9:30 pm I contacted the office assistant. she told me she would call Bobbie and get right back with me. I waited another two hours and called her back. Her phone was on ignore. I left a message. On Monday morning, I called again at 8:30 and was told my load would be delivered on Tuesday. Not acceptable as I said before, my son's medical supplies were on the truck. I then told them I was going to get an exparte order to get my stuff immediately. The assistant said she would call Bobbie and get him to call me right away. that was two hours ago and I still have not heard from him.
