Buyer Beware! This company was a nightmare to work with. Communication is terrible. They replaced my roof and their poor craftsmanship flooded my house when it rained. I made them fix it before I paid the balance but now I found that they left a pipe in my attic open to the sky and rain comes in and minorly damaged my ceiling but Kevin refuses to fix it now that they have been paid. Stay away!

Dear Robert Phelan (OWNER OF HERO CONSTRUCTION) On 06/o1/19 We were scammed by a person by the name JOSHUA CRUZ (719 waltham ave) he was representing your Company: AMERICAN HERO ( 661 w. Lancaster RD) . He and his friend Eduardo R. Velasquez offered roofing services to us . Joshua claimed we could pay NOTHING for having our roof replaced then We believed in him, however we found out later all these promises he made to us were just to convince us to sign an agreement. ..surely , part of a roofing scam. (we did not know this was a scheme since Joshua talked to us about wind and hail that hit my area not long ago. Joshua almost swore to us he could win this case against insurance Company). Joshua is very good in deceiving people. I am 62 years old I will never forgive myself for allowing a young guy like Joshua Cruz to deceive me like this, maybe I got too excited to get a "free" roof replacement. Now, few months later, different people from your company keep calling us threatening us by saying they are going to put our house on lien. They said they could do so because we signed an agreement. They put pressure on us as hard as they could. Actually, we signed such agreeement because we trusted in your company, we thought you guys were honest. BIG MISTAKE ON OUR PART!! Jeremiah 17:5 This is what the LORD says: “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the LORD. My question is: Did you know all these things were going on in your company? If you did not know about it , you should take responsability for all the damage Joshua made to us or to somebody else. However if you knew all about these things and did nothing to fix these problems then SHAME ON YOU! PROBABLY, THE ONLY THING YOU DID WAS TO REPLACE YOUR EMPLOYEES SO THERE WILL BE NO WITNESSES AROUND ANYMORE . MR. PHELAN YOU ABANDONED YOUR CUSTOMERS WHO WERE DECEIVED BY JOSHUA. company solicited us for new roof through our insurance for hail damage. Claim was approved and company picked up the check. we did not hear from them for 6 weeks. The roof turned out well, but all the hassles were not worth it.

Before the gentleman left, he tried to get me to sign a contract stating I would use them exclusively & that they would take care of all correspondence with my insurer. I refused to sign the contract since I didn’t have a quote in hand. He stated that they needed to have a project manager present when the insurer was here & it requires my signature to do so. After calling a project manager to convince me, he left empty handed. Two days later my insurance adjuster said there was no damage to the roof, that the contractor should have inspected the whole roof & said I did the right thing by not signing in advance. I had a reputable roofer (from Angie’s List) come by to do an estimate & challenge the insurance adjusters assertion, but he also agreed that there was no damage.

$5000 down payment for roofing and it's been 4 months - I'm now getting the run around and I haven't gotten any work or refund

The job went smooth from start to finish. The price was right and they use top quality materials. Hopefully this roof will withstand the elements if we go through another hurricane.

Horrible after giving deposit they took over 4 months to start. After speaking directly to the company owner they start to work. There was always an excuse and roof has not passed inspection.
