Ace Solves It All

I purchased the coupon, they called the next day and we set up a visit. They were prompt and thorough.

I purchased the Angie's list deal for spring HVAC service. ACE was flexible in scheduling and even rescheduled 2 hours later same day due to my conflict in scheduling. They examined my entire system, cleaned the condenser fins, checked the blower bearings and electrical connections, checked the current draw, and condition of the condensate pan drains. They checked the refrigerant pressures which were fine so no addition was needed. You can't go wrong with either an annual service plan or checkup with ACE.

We had a clogged kitchen drain. Technician showed up on time, was polite but was unable to unclog drain (said he didn't have correct equipment). Tech gave me an estimate for approximately $600 and said I'd used up the $199 credit I had with Ace thru Angie's List. I called another plumber. He showed up on Sunday, unclogged the drain in about 15 minutes and charged me approximately $60. I complained to ACE. They agreed and said owner would call me first thing the next morning. I got no call and called them back two more times. Always a different excuse but ended with the owner was always too busy to talk. Late last month the dispatcher received approval to send me a refund ($99). I still haven't received it and was told yesterday that they can't send it until they get their money from Angie's List. I suspect I'll never get it.

I have been dealing with this problem for several weeks and today was the first day I have been off and was going to tackle this and fix it. I got an email from angie's list for the big deal of $75 for drain cleaning, plumbing inspection and more. I figured what have I got to loose and maybe it was a message from above so I purchased it and set an appointment for later that afternoon. Chris showed up promptly and I apologized (to make matters worse) for the lack of water, a main line broke and the whole neighborhood was without water. He proceeded to snake the line and I could hear it through the whole house that the drain had opened. I ran outside and he said this is your lucky day, the line is free!!!!! Thank you Lord!!!! I again apologized for the absence of water for him to at least wash his equipment and hands for that matter. My problem was solved and thanks to Ace for coming to my rescue. I will now in the future maintain my plumbing system much better than the past owners. He also recommended that I think about their yearly service plan for air conditioning system, electrical and plumbing for $99 a year...............SOLD...what a great deal :)

Our service professional, Steve Mathews, arrived on time, well equipped. Was very knowledgeable and helpful. He did a superb job. I will hire his company, ACE SOLVES IT ALL, again.

I just got an estimate from Ace Solves It All I ended up going with some else that was cheaper. I got an estimate last fall. It was a good price, both of them were within a hundred dollars of each other, I think it was around $2,000 somewhere. The estimate was for the upstairs air conditioning unit to be replaced. The whole thing was excellent, the other companies price was better. They seemed like they would be great, they came out really quick, people were really nice, they would have done it really quick if I had gone with them.

They did a good job on installation, which I could not do because the brass screw inside the know was stripped. They cut it off and it only took them 10-15 minutes to install the first one and just a few minutes to install the second one. They have the right equipment to do the work.

They came out when they said they would. The fellow on the phone was wonderful. He was very polite and nice. He called to remind me and the driver also called. They were so nice. They were very professional. Randy did the work and everything has been wonderful. He did the work right away and everything turned out really good. I'm going to use them again. They do electrical, air conditioning and plumbing. The price was very reasonable. I would recommend them to anybody.

I had used this service in the past when it was just plumbing. Cost was at the top end but still within market. Now that they have expanded to air conditioning and electrical et. al., they apparently do not really want to do small residential plumbing jobs because they have made the prices outrageously expensive. Plumber arrived and cleaned out the bathroom sink drain in 5 minutes for $336.00. He left the broken stopper on the sink edge, telling us to go buy a new one and call him to come back and install it. (They advertise that they carry most equipment on their trucks and this is a standard contractor grade fixture). Price to come back? $279.00!! I estimate that would make this service about $600 per hour! Called the manager who said leaving a service call with the sink non functioning was OK with him - so apparently that is their customer service standard. It is not mine and I would not recommend them on cost or use them ever again because of the lousy service.

They told me they charged a $69 service call to come out and look at the toilet. They also did not know if they would be able to install the toilet the same day. When I asked about pricing, they stated the service man had the pricing book and they could not provide me with an estimate at the time. They might provide good service however my first impression was not great with this company.

I gave $99.00 for an Angie's list and quot;dealand quot; for electrical work (two hours of labor). I have never been so angry with the outcome of any interaction sponsored by Angie's List. I called ACE asking them to send an electrician. I had thought this would be a good opportunity to have a couple of exterior electrical outlets installed. The electrician arrived, I mentioned what I would like to have done, and he said he would give me an estimate. When he came back with the estimate it was for $813.90 (in addition to the $99.00 I had already paid) from which he said that he subtracted the labor value of the and quot;dealand quot; leaving a charge of $535.90. When I asked him to explain the charges he said that the company did not do this type of installation under the Deal. They, he said, only replaced bad light switches and outlets. To have a an actual installation they had a flat rate charge of $406.95 for each outlet. This is despite the fact that the Big Deal states unequivocally that they would install interior or exterior outlets. To me this seemed like a classic and quot;bait and switchand quot; move. I told the electrician that I was not interested in being fleeced. So now I am out $99.00, and have nothing to show for it. What bothers me the most is Angie's List's role in the fiasco. Angie's List supported the Big Deal, which in my mind aided and abetted this ethically questionable situation. I had come to trust Angie's List in the past, but I have come to the conclusion that the Big Deals should be avoided. In this regard, Angie's List is no better than those they warn members against.

1st visit - Tremain (approx 45mins) did the cutout on the wall to reach the faucet but said we had the wrong size fixture and he doesn't weld. Tremain, called his office to tell them the details and that it maybe a 4-5 hrs job. The office said, through Tremain, they will work with me to give me a fair price. Tremain's, last comment was that he thinks it can be done in 4hrs. 2nd visit - A clip was dropped behind/under the tub and couldn't be found. Randy, requested my husband to get another clip (approx 45 min trip to Home Depot). A section of 2x4 that supports the tub deck was also removed to provide additional access. Randy still couldn't put the clip in and ran out of time. 3rd visit - Additional dry wall was removed and the job was completed, but the clip was not used and was handed to my husband.

I called ACE the morning of the repairs and the person on the phone was very professional and helpful. He took my information and told me the approximate time the serviceman would arrive. He also said he would call me when the serviceman was on the way to my house. I received the call from ACE when the serviceman was on the way and he arrived right on time. Just as promised. He went right to work and as he went along he showed me what he was doing and explained everything so I could understand exactly what he was doing. He also made sure to answer any questions I had. He made the repairs and everthing has been running perfectly since. I received a call from ACE the next day to make sure that all had gone well. I am extremely impressed with the whole experience and would recommend ACE to all. ACE also offers electrical, air conditioning as well as plumbing service. I won't use anyone else for my electrical, air conditioning and plumbing needs.

Technician arrived on time and was very professional. Got right to work. took a while to find the disconnect but was very thorough Before he left he pointed out a small code violation that needs to be corrected and left some estimates for future work.

The professional job by the estimator and then finding out that he did the work was great. Plumber Tremaine did a professional job and great estimate. The contractor Nelson did a great job install the bathroom tub tile. I like that they could work with ACE electrical because I had the house rewired. Some companies needed the house to there own to rewire and do plumbing items.

Great job for having to live in the house. Friendly service.

The fluorescent light in our kitchen would only blink and/or light partially. We called Ace, and they sent out a technician the same day. He knew his stuff and a prompt diagnosis was made. When the new ballast was installed, the light once again worked as it should. This company gives you an astounding five-year warranty on all repairs!

Routine evaluation and main drain line cleaning that met my expectations.

The experience was fine and they did a good job.

I am outraged to find out my husband agreed to pay $681 to re-build a 10-year old hot water heater. They charged $185.93 for diagnostics, $411.48 to re-build the water heater (replace thermostats and heating elements), $14.95 fuel charge and $69 dispatch fee. I could have bought a whole new water heater for $225. I called another plumber to get their estimate, and they charge $150 to re-build the water heater. I called to try to reduce the price, and they wouldn't budge. $681 for an hour and a half. That is rediculously high.

I liked them. They were great. They did the work that I needed them to do. I would refer them to friends and family members.

When I called they came the same day. They are very punctual. I am satisfied overall with Ace Electrical Service.

A very nice gentle man came out to look at my issue. He first quoted me $1400. I declined the services. We talked for a bit more and within minutes he came down to $1000. I still declined. He told me that he would give me a written quote regardless to I would have a reference point. The written quote was $800. I believe a business should be forthright about the price they will charge and this shows me a lot about the type of business they are. Furthermore, they guy had left his credit card machine in my garage, which I didn't notice until the company called the next day looking for it. When I found it, I left it out front for the guy to come back and pick it up. When speaking with the company, I did inform them of the discrepancy and they told me they would look into it. I haven't heard anything since.

Overall experience was great. The electrician arrived on time and was very professional. The job he did was quality work. The price was a bit much considering what he actually did. The job took about 3-4 hours and I'm sure I could have hired an electrician to work at less than $200 an hour! He insisted that they have fixed prices on all of their services, and I participated in their discount program, but the price was still high!
