Description of Work: Initial quote for complete job with purchased labor was high so I delayed work. Also seem more like they were selling a service plan than interested in scheduling work. Sought other estimates in Aug. to compare pricing and same work quoted for $600 less. Called Ace on Aug. 5th, spoke with Stephen who said service tech no longer with firm and service manager would return call next day. Called again on Aug. 7th and advised service manager was researching quote and not able to speak to me at that time. I did indicate that I might seek a refund to motivate them to return my call. however, my calls have still not been returned as of today, Aug. 13th, so confidence in their customer service or ability to do the work correctly is in doubt. No work was ever completed. Refund requested.

Description of Work: Arrived 5 hours late - told that the faucet I had would not fit the Roman tub without grinding it out. They gave me a $1,300 estimate to find a faucet for me and put it in.

Description of Work: Steve from Ace came to install the fan in an existing ceiling box, but he felt the box needed to be replaced. The proposed modifications to the box would cost almost $300. The modifications coupled with the pre purchased coupon and the fan would cost far more than $500 Steve was professional and helpful, but the overall cost is well beyond my budget. Given the circumstances, I would rather get a refund for the coupon.

Description of Work: The $99 cited above was in addition to the Big Deal purchase. The $99 was a fair price.

Description of Work: Service provider would not honor 2 hour Big Deal coupon, and instead wrote up an estimate for $1172.86, with a balance owed by us of $903.86, in addition to the Big Deal coupon cost of $99. It was a classic bait and switch, so we instructed Ace to leave. The job was performed the next day by another Angie's List provider, Sanford Electrical Company, for $15 over their Big Deal of $100. It took the technician 2 hours to complete the job, which was a straightforward installation of a wall light fixture.

Description of Work: The price was fair but seemed a little high for the parts. The worked was great and professional however, he broke a piece of our kitchen faucet, did not tell us, and when it was discovered he came back out to look at it but could not fix it because he couldn't get the part any longer. The faucet still works but it is missing a plastic blue/red piece.

Description of Work: Removed two toilets and replaced them with new ones.

Description of Work: Unfortunately, the whole story, from start to finish, is that I asked my local handyman to do some work, including the fan installations, more than a week ago and he promised to get back to me with a price including an electrician to work on the fans. I couldn't reach him and saw the Big Deal and didn't want to miss out on what appeared to be a good price. An hour ago he calledand gave me a very good price to do all the work I requested, including the fans, and it's extremely reasionable, so I want to give him all the work. Please note that I did NOT even call Ace Solves It All - I purchased the coupons late last night - just 4 hours before expiration, and my handyman called me today before I even made a call to the vendor.

Description of Work: Purchased a special under " THE BIG DEAL" program. $ 99 for drain cleaning and plumbing evaluation. Completely satisfied with service. They actually called to schedule with us. On day of service called to ask if they could arrive a little early. We had a slow kitchen drain which they cleaned along with the included drain cleaning special. Very professional and efficient. Walked the entire house to inspect all other plumbing fixtures. Very happy with service and overall experience. Another win for an Angie's list provider. Thanks to all. John - Ocoee
