Above The Rest Doors

He was great and I actually purchased something. I have used him several times since and I would never use him for a big deal again, I would just hire him directly. I paid a lot more than the big deal but, he was worth it.

I actually called on Thursday morning and they were willing to come out that morning but I opted to have them come out Saturday morning. I was surprised at how quick the two springs were replaced. It took approximately 35 minutes. The cost of $187.50 was what was quoted over the phone. I would recommend and would use their services again.

Called Doug April 29th, he was out the next day. We discussed the details and we were ready for the deal. 2 weeks later are door was being installed. The installer was very professional and informative.

They are very courteous, professional, and on time.

The spring broke on Monday night. I communicated with "above the rest garage door" here on Angie's List. The response was prompt. I had my door repaired last night on Tuesday.

Called Doug about my problem. Next day at 3pm my problem was solved! The outdoor keypad and two door openers were replaced and he even cleaned the controller and door springs!

Called Doug yesterday and said a tech would be here between 10am and 12pm. Their tech, Donnie, called me at 956am and said he'd be there in 10 minutes. Donnie showed up a little after 10am examined the door and within a few minutes had the broken spring removed and installed two new springs on the 17' door. He also WD-40'ed all the moving parts on the door. Donnie provided advice about how to maintain the door's moving parts and reducing stress on the motor and springs. He also showed me how to replace the rubber gasket on the door bottom and advised how thick the insulation should be if I wanted to add that to the doors. Very helpful, friendly and guy who knows his stuff. Good experience throughout. Total cost for the two spring replacement with the Angie's List discount was under 190.00.

Donnie came right out to check why door wouldn't close. He did a GREAT JOB ! He fixed everything that was connected to the garage Door. We needed a new Opener as ours was over 30 yrs. old. He knows his stuff! He told us in detail what was wrong,how it works and also how to maintain the new one. He really is an EXPERT at what he does. I wish more repair people worked like this!

I was having trouble with my garage door opener. I called Doug in the morning and he was in my garage before lunch giving me the rundown on what was wrong. He gave me options for repair or replacement. I chose replacement, and he was back a few hours later with the new opener. He installed the new opener in less than an hour and everything is now up and running beautifully. Doug was extremely professional, courteous, and fair. I would recommend this company to anyone in need of garage door service.

My spring above the garage door broke. I found Above the Rest on Angie's list and called and left a voicemail. Within minutes, Doug called me up and set up an appointment. A little over an hour later, Doug was here as promised. He was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. He repaired both springs for me and it only took about half an hour. As a bonus, he put up a keyless entry paid for me, which I had purchased, but had yet to install. That only took him about 5 minutes. I've already recommended him to a friend and I will use him again in the future.

Arrived as scheduled, installed, and lube rollers and chain. Well worth the money. Actually couldn't buy replacement rollers for a DIY project for less than the overall service. Will definitely contact them for my next preventive maint.

This is a bit late, but wanted to give Doug a good report. This is the second time we have worked with Doug. Doug was agreeable to our buying the unit we wanted and even advised us of the quality of the product. He only charged us for the install and the amount was more than reasonable. Doug is now on our list of contractors we call when we need his type of expertise. We have house sitters in our home and Doug took care of working with them to schedule the install also. I called Doug on Saturday and he had a technician sent to me house the next day. He arrived right on time and went to work. The garage is now working perfectly. Great experience, very professional, and reasonably priced.

The pretty much assessed the age of my door and recommended a new one.

I have used this company in the past so I called again. Very quick response. Gave us a price and was well within reason so had work done. Was quick and efficient. Checked out all moving parts on door, greased and cleaned. Worked quickly. Would definitely recommend to others.

Called Doug on a Sunday regarding my garage door - plastic screw Broke on trolley if omega door - had technician come out that day -- since Not common garage door he had to call company repeatedly to learn They would have to replace rails as well and would have to order them . I went with another company that had the rail in stock but was impressed By Doug ( the owner ) going the extra mike to try to help me

We were having trouble with our garage door opening consistently with new remotes. The store where new remotes were purchased suggested that perhaps the circuit board was going bad since sometimes remotes worked so we started shopping for a garage door company. We decided to sign up for Angie's List, in search of a service provider. I called Above the Rest and left a message on their voice mail. Actually, I called 2 companies from Angie's List, but only received 1 return call----that same afternoon---from Above the Rest. After reviewing my family's issues, it was diagnosed as most likely a bad circuit board. I felt relieved to get the same diagnosis as the store had given. Since our current opener was over 10 years old, we both agreed it was better to just replace. I asked about pricing and Above the Rest gave me the option to purchase from them OR buy the opener myself and just pay an install fee. I appreciated the openness to discuss pricing and being given the option to buy a model that I might prefer. In the end, I decided to save myself a shopping trip and go with a model Above the Rest felt was a good company that stood behind their product and provided good Customer Service. We were delighted when the tech arrived in a few days----a Saturday, which was much appreciated since no work had to be missed for the install. We were assured the tech assigned to the job was a trusted employee, and professional, and he was indeed. He was polite, courteous and installed the opener in no time. We appreciated the honesty, response rate, and work done by Above the Rest and would highly recommend them.

Everything went very well. Did the repairs as promised in time promised and at price quoted. Additionally he did some tune up work and replaced one cracked hinge he found at no extra charge. Extremely pleased.

I have dealt with a lot of garage door companies, but I will call this one from now on.

This guy is fantastic! He was fast and efficient. He replaced teh steel rollers with Nylon, adusted the tension, lubricated and balanced the system and then showed me what he did and how to maintain the system in the future to assure that it stays ultra-quiet and functional. Can't say enough good things about this guy!

He was here an hour early and had it completed within two hours. He took all of the old materials to dump and was very informative about the useage of the new unit.

I called based upon the reviews in Angie's List and was not disappointed. Responded in the same day (!) to complete the work and report back. Professional, courteous, and competent. Work included 1 year labor and 3 year part warranty. Very satisfied with rapidity of response and professionalism.

I am extremely satisfied with the service perform. I originally though the trolly was broken and got a quote for that service along with changing out the window panel. When Doug arrived it was discovered that one of the springs was broken so they had to be replaced. Doug clearly communicated his findings, priced the extra work very fairly and did not try to sell me things I didn't need (ie: rollers) He performed his work effciently and left the work area clean. I would highly recommend Above the Rest Garage Doors.

Fixed problem with door after five visits from other companies. Did not rip me off by suggesting whole new system just replaced a circuit board. Really good company.
