Key West Deco Tile Store

One day we came home from a trip to find that there was a massive pool of water on the floor in our kitchen. The source was a failure of a seal in the dishwasher. (The dishwasher had not been working, and we had not yet replaced it.) Upon further investigation, we found that the entire cabinet under the sink was soaked with water, and water had leaked through the wall into our downstairs, and was pooling onto the floor down there, as well. As my husband is a rather gifted woodworker, he decided to re-build the cabinet under the sink. We looked at dishwashers, and decided to replace both the dishwasher and (due to an appliance sale) our refrigerator, which was also falling into a state of disrepair. We found that the counter top and cabinets by the refrigerator would also have to be re-built as the current refrigerators would not fit the space left by the old one . At that point, we knew the counter tops had to go. We decided it was time to go ahead and get our long-awaited kitchen remodel underway. We looked into different types of counter tops and ultimately decided that my husband would build tile counter tops, extending the tile into a back splash with an added accent, allowing us to put the extra money into appliances. I then called Johnna at Key West Deco, and arranged a time for us to meet to look at some tile. As we live in Key Largo, and her store is in Key West, we thought we would have to give up a Saturday to travel there to meet with her. Surprise! She was very accommodating, and suggested we meet at OUR convenience--as soon as my husband and I could get there after our work hours on a week day. She kept the store open--just for us! When we got there, she was very friendly and asked for our ideas, and showed us tiles she thought might work. From there she suggested other tiles that she thought might be a little better, giving us advice on cutting, breakage, and which tiles would be easily workable as an accent (to be used in the back splash). We ordered the tile, and went down to pick it up when it arrived. My husband built the counter and back splash, and found we didn't have enough tile for the back splash, so we had to order some more. Johnna expedited the order and we were able to finish in a timely manner. We received friendly, prompt, knowledgeable service throughout, and would definitely recommend Key West Deco to everyone!
