Came right on time. Completed the work quickly and with high quality. Everything was perfect albeit I thought the $135 price was a bit high.

I was stranded in Marathon, Fl. and needed a key made for our '99 Isuzu Rodeo. We had driven our car to buy a boat, sailed the boat 400 miles closer to home, and I had ridden the bus 20 hours back to get the car when I realized the keys were at the other end. The car was parked at the City Marina, which closes at 5pm. I called AAA at 4:27pm to report my need for assistance. A Able is the only AAA provider in the Keys. After some time AAA called me back saying that it was a special key, and that for A Able to make it tonight it would be $300. It would be $175 if I waited until tomorrow. The high season in the keys means no available rooms, and A Able is the only provider, so it was obvious to me that I was being offered the choice of being ripped off for $125, or sleeping on the ground next to my car. I had made copies of these keys at Walmart, so I knew that they were not special blanks, and that A Able was not telling the AAA Representative the truth. I verified with another locksmith that it was indeed an ordinary key. Then the excuse was that it was and quot;after hoursand quot;, as by now it was after 7pm. The AAA Supervisor noted that I had called at 4:27, clearly during regular hours. Their Provider A Able Locksmith still wanted $300 to make the key. After impressing upon the AAA Supervisor that we had been long term members and were up for renewal and were very unhappy at the moment, he came up with the only solution. I used one of my free tows, and was towed 103 miles to Florida City, where the service call was taken by the Locksmith in that area. They guy made me 2 keys for $110. It was after 10:30pm by the time I was under way, 6 hours later. All thanks to the greed of A Able Locksmith. Most people would not know if their key has a chip in it or not, and would have fallen for A Able Locksmithand quot;s rip-off. If I lived in the Keys, I would not do business with someone who would take advantage of the tourists that are your bread and butter.
