After contacting another repair service company and not wanting to be without my laptop for 3-5 days, I decided to take it to Mark Evans. I took it in late Saturday afternoon. The tech called me Monday morning at 11:15 am to say it could be fixed and he had the keyboard, so I agreed to the service and the next thing I know he calls me back at 11:43 am the same day to say my laptop was ready to be picked up. This company is not only reliable and knowledgeable but friendly and very reasonably priced. I would most certainly recommend this company and use them again for any issues I have again. Keep up the excellent work!

During Tropical Storm Hermine, my keyboard was fried. I had heard about this company from a friend and after visiting another repair shop, decided to take my laptop to Mark Evans. I took it in late Saturday afternoon and was told I could expect a call on Monday by noon. Well, they called at 11:15 am to inform me that my laptop could be fixed. Yahoo. They called back at 11:43 am to inform me that the laptop was repaired and ready to be picked up.. Fast reliable, inexpensive service by professional and personable staff. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

Mark Evans Computer Technologies took a moment and really listened to my explanation of what was happening to my laptop. They gave me some explanation as what maybe happening in a way I understood. I was quoted a price that not only surprised me (because of how low it was), but that was also well within my current budget. I was told it would be ready the next business day for pickup. At the end of the day I dropped off my laptop, I received a phone call from them (I figured this is where they call to tell me that I need something and will cost me more money), just to inform me of there update and that everything was going fine. At this point they began to explain to me how much my computer was infected and that I had layers and layers of problems. The next business day I received a call letting me know that my laptop was ready. I went to the office and was shown how the issues were fixed. My biggest surprise was next to come, the bill. My lower jaw dropped when I was given a price that equaled to the same price I was quoted when I dropped off my laptop. I have to say that this company and all it's employees were most professional, courteous, and honest from the time I dropped my laptop off to when I picked it up. I will continue to use Mark Evans for all my computer needs in the future and I will recommend them to all my friends. Great job guys!!!

Effective advice was given with patience and understanding. It was stated that if my efforts did not work, that I could bring it in for them to work on. The Computer is a Surface 2 running on Windows 10.

Service was prompt and professional. Tech explained the problems in detail, providing explanations to all my questions. Courteous and friendly service throughout from receptionist to Tech.

It was fairly reasonable. The guy was very personable and seemed to know what he was doing but he didn't fix it. I ended up buying a new computer. The price wasn't bad to me. They just didn't solve my problem. I didn't want to buy a new computer. I wanted it to be fast and furious in work and functional. It wasn't any of that after that. If they had solved the problem, they would have been A across the board.

I have used Mark for many years. I trust them 100%. My computer guy was sick at one time and used another so called friend that was in my networking group. Yes he fixed it I guess but what he charged I could have bought a new computer.....was not happy. Somehow I found Mark. He did some work for me when my guy was in the hospital and I couldn't believe that he was honest and affordable. My guy has passed away so now Mark is my guy. I'm computer stupid when it comes to problems or software, etc. If I have trouble with one of my computers ( I have several) sometimes all I have to do is call them and they can fix it remotely. Right now I'm getting ready to take them in for what I call a tune up. I drop most of them off and keep one then pick them up and take the other. I do that I hope twice a year. Then if anything else goes wrong I take it to them. they usually are pretty fast as getting it back to me. I always recommend them to people. Weather it's to fix a computer or buy a used one.

We wouldn't think of ever using another company. These folks have got their act together.

Without my consent they not only turned OFF my virus software, but they also uninstalled and re-installed software. Plus shady characters at their place of business (HOUSE) and the tech lacked indiscretion when dealing with sensitive information. I didn't find out about them turning off my virus software for a few days. My computer was acting up worse than before so I hired a different computer repair company who told me my eset security software had been turned off. Then the new company showed me how many non-local hits my computer had taken. Evidently Mark Evans repair company also uninstalled and reinstalled various software without my consent as my NeatDesk scanner application opened up as if it had never been on my computer before. But the real issue is I lost all my NeatDesk files in the process, many were very important files. If they had just told me their plans I could have transferred my data into the documents folders. Evidently Mark Evans repair company does this sort of thing when they don't know how to repair. Mark Stevens himself actually suggested to zero out the hard drive on my gaming computer because he was stumped on an issue. The computer tech that actually repaired my issues were not with this company. I would never trust Mark Stevens Repair with my equipment ever again, it was my worst experience ever at a repair shop. Find a repair company that is qualified enough to repair issues without first resorting to going back to zero. On a side note, I should have run the other way when I first the warning signs. The business is not marked, it is run out of the owners house so I was unclear if I was at the right place. I had to call them to make sure I was at the right place. There was a man with obvious paranoia issues that came in the shop the same time as I did. After finishing with a customer that was already in the store the tech asked if he could help me, ignoring the other man. I told him what my computer's issues were at which time he asked me my password for my computer in front of said paranoid guy. I told him I was not comfortable with him asking me sensitive information in front of other customers. So, he asked the paranoid man to wait outside. Once outside the tech told me he thought man was paranoid from drug use or at least he suspected that man of drug use. Wow! If that was the case why did he ask for my password in front of a suspected drug user or in front of any customer for that matter. The tech then got my information and was to run a virus / malware scan and do a tune up. When I walked out the air was filled with cigerette smoke form the customer who was still waiting outside. I got out of there ASAP feeling very uneasy. I should have listened to my gut.

I am looking at this like a lifelong relationship. I am looking to have him do more work for me. He is the owner of the company and he get right on the phone and helped me. It was nice to speak with a live person. Thank you Angie's List!!!!

I contacted Mark Evans computer store to see if they could make my old Toshiba laptop like new again and I wasn't hopeful since it was over 10 years old. I actually took my laptop to their business for them to see rather then have them do a housecall. What a place! You know for certain that you are in a computer repair shop to be sure! Really impressive. So they WERE able to make my Toshiba like new again! They did a Tune up 30 point inspection, Cloned Working Hard Drive, Switched from Vista to Windows, etc etc etc! :) And they were fast too. I had my computer the within 48 hrs. Great service from Debra (always),Mark and Mike. There is nobody better out there guys. I happily drive almost an hour for their superior service. Thanks Debra and Mark!

Old computer using windows 7 suddenly developed problems with google chrome. First attempted to resolve problem by uninstalling googled chrome, then attempted to go through internet explorer to reinstall google chrome. Unfortunately, system would not download google chrome. Next attempted to restore computer to previous date, which failed. Second attempt to restore to different date also failed. Lastly, tried to sign in to Angie's List to locate computer repair services, but system unable to sign in. Called Angie's List, received names of various computer repair .services, and took desktop to nearby Mark Evans computers, on a Friday afternoon. Technician asked details about problem, was confidant all could be repaired, most likely within 24 hours. Received call on Saturday noon, repairs successfully finished, computer back up and properly running. Was quite impressed with restoration of old computer system, and further impressed by timely service.

I took the laptop in on Tuesday afternoon and spoke with Deborah about the problems I was having. They began working on it that same day and my laptop was ready by noon the next day. When I picked it up, they explained what they had done and answered my questions. They provide me with a MECT tools shortcut making any future cleanings/troubleshooting much easier. I was pleased and impressed with their professionalism and their quick turnaround time for repair. I will definitely used them again.

Mike did an awesome job! I feared that non-executable files had invaded my PC, and sleep much better knowing none did. Mike not only ran diagnostics, he showed me results (including deletion of many Possibly Unwanted Programs) and explained (in simple English) the all-encompassing work of the diagnostics. His explanations made me confident (no easy task) that my desktop is bug-free. Patient, and very willing to answer questions, he quickly found our "common" level of computer-eeze - an excellent talent for someone who works with a wide variety of clients. Mike went above and beyond my primary needs. Internet cable comes into my home office at the worst possible location; more than a dozen cords run every which-way. My age makes difficult, floor-crawling to trace each particular cord and pull out unused cords. A laptop replaced an XP desktop, with all auxiliaries, leaving many unused cords. Mike found them all - and even advised me how to hook up the now-extra monitor as a 2nd monitor for the active desktop. He happily added more to my list of requests, by removing the hard drive from the unused XP and removing the desktop computer from my home office. Mike demonstrated exceptional knowledge and approachability (a rare find in an I.T. guru). His willingness to accommodate my growing needs and understandable explanations make him a true "find." I will definitely call on Mark Evans Computer Technology, moving forward ...and always ask for Mike.
