A Service Experts sales representative arrived at my home after my A/C unit stopped working. He was charming and took the time to explain all of the benefits and plans. After choosing a unit, we set a date for installing the new A/C unit. I had no issues with the installation; the guys were quick and efficient. I may have had the unit for about 3-4 months when I received a call from a Service Expert employee advising that they needed to send a technician to my home to replace a part of the A/C unit so that I could pass my inspections with the town. I schedule a time for service like usual. Still, from there on, Service Experts has been nothing short of a total unprofessional nightmare. The technicians came in, and much to my surprise, it wasn't a "piece of the unit" they were replacing but the ENTIRE unit itself. I missed work for the whole day because of this significant switch that Service Experts failed to tell me about. The technicians replaced the entire unit. When I closed the door and said goodbye, a loud and obnoxious noise came from the A/C unit. I immediately called the Service Experts customer service line to explain what had happened, and even the customer service representative said he could hear how loud my A/C was from over the phone. They scheduled a repair guy to come to my home and see what the problem was. When the man came to my residence, he looked at the A/C unit, switched a knob from "Hi" to "Low" then turned around and looked at me, asking, "Is that better?". The noise was not better. It was exactly the same, and I told him that merely switching a fan to another level would not fix the issue. The repair guy said he couldn't do anything else and would contact a manager, then left. Again, I call customer service, and Service Experts sends out another guy. This man at least was pleasant and told me that they had installed the wrong type of A/C unit, and that I would need to get a different A/C unit…AGAIN. Unfortunately, they advised that they would keep this unit in my residence until I pass inspection and then replace it with another unit. So up to this point, I've had repair men in and out of my house, two removals and installations of A/C units, sleepless nights with a loud A/C unit, and several days I had to take off of work to handle this catastrophe Service Experts has cause my family. After inspection, Service Experts came BACK to my home and replaced the A/C unit, yet again. We are now at number 3 with the units replaced at my house by these idiots. I decided to call Service Experts Manager TYLER ROSS to see if he could help remedy this total disaster. I attempted calling him several times with no answer. I left a voicemail and still waited. Finally, when he did call, it was a series of "I'm sorry" and "I completely understand." To resolve the problem, Service Experts Manager TYLER ROSS said he would provide me with a year of no charge from my Advantage program. We all agreed and left it as that. Well, here I am again with more deceit from Service Experts. I have been charged for my Advantage program for the last two to three months. I waited to contact Tyler Ross again because there needed time to switch things over. I called him and left him a voicemail to contact me regarding this issue. It has now been over a week, and I am still awaiting a response from this irresponsible imbecile. After telling my story to several other friends, I discovered this is common practice for Service Experts. Countless times, they have made errors, provided horrible customer service, and just flat-out been the most unprofessional company people have dealt with. So if you want my opinion of this company…GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! THEY ARE TERRIBLE, AND THEIR MANAGER TYLER ROSS IS AN IDIOT WHO PRETENDS TO KNOW WHAT HE'S DOING BUT ACTUALLY DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO DO HIS JOB CORRECTLY.

Dealing with Service Experts makes working with Xfinity feel like a dream. Service Experts charged me $1351 to improperly NOT fix my AC issue on a 3-year-old unit under warranty. Once that failed, the solution they tried to sell me was basically to buy a brand-new AC system or to pay $150+ a month for their “service plan.” AVOID this company at ALL COSTS and here is why. Service Experts did a terrible job of fixing my problem but almost managed to get me to buy a whole new AC system. I was in the same situation you are likely in now. My AC died and I woke up in the middle of the night sweating only to see the temperature keep inching up past 80 on the thermostat. I was in a pinch running on 2hrs of sleep so I did a quick Google search to find a reputable AC repair company that would hopefully have some level of quality in their work. Service Experts looked good with their high rating and a fair number of reviews, unfortunately that did not prepare me for what I was about to get. Thinking my problem would be a simple fix I called them up. They showed up to tell me that the inside coil on my 3-year-old AC system would have to be replaced due to a major leak and that the labor alone would be $1351. Then they proceeded to say that was “if they could get the parts.” Leading me on to believe that due to another coronavirus created shortage AC parts “might take up to 6 weeks” to become available. That’s when I got the first mention of the joining the service plan for about $150 per month which they said you have to look at it as if it were a “utility.” Which I brushed off as sales BS that they have to tell you about. So, they ended up being able to get the part and installed it 2 days later. After they got it all installed, then they tell me that there was another MAJOR leak and they would need to replace the outside coil for another $1350. I felt trapped. What am I going to do? It’s the middle of July and it’s 95 degrees inside the house. So, I said OK just do it. That’s when they tried to sell me on the “it’s probably cheaper just replaced the whole AC system” and “let me tell you about the Service plan.” That’s when they sent out the sales team associate. Can you say sharks. I would rather take on the sharks around here over these people any day. They told me how my AC is Junk and “we don’t sell those.” Don’t forget you have to treat the service plan like a “Utility.” Just the kind of stuff you would expect from someone trying to sell you something you don’t need. That’s when I started to have doubts. They almost got me, but I hunted down the original company who installed the unit and got them out the next day. That company fixed the issue on the outside unit and found that it was just a bad line that needed to be replaced which they charged $250. It wasn’t until later that night that I realized that there was another issue. I found that it took hours to bring down the temperature 2 degrees and the coolest it would get at night was 77. Still miles better than the 89 degrees from the previous night but still not right. I had the second company come back out and it turns out that this problem was with the inside coil that Service Experts had charged me $1351 to replace. It turns out that they installed it improperly and never reinstalled the TXV valve. This led to the improper fit leaving the air handler to be able to suck in hot air from the garage and not having the expansion valve meant the compressor wasn’t able to get the pressure needed to actually cool the house. So, the new company fixed the issue and it’s no longer 92 degrees inside. I tried to call up Service Experts to see what they would do to make right on their mistake. The result? Nothing, they said there is nothing they will do, and that is if you are lucky enough to ever get a hold of somebody. Oh and that “Satisfaction Guarantee”… Goodluck. I really have to say that after dealing with Service Experts, working with Xfinity feels like a dream.

The water damage caused by a junior technician was fully taken care of by the general manager of South Florida. Mr B.S. has shown empathy, listening and professionalism. He immediately brought corrective solutions to the problems. He gave his word and honored him throughout the all process. I felt supported and encouraged to find a smile to have a healthy home again. SERVICE WARNING ABOUT service experts HVAC- MISTAKE This was my experience as I published on Yelp and Google Maps.. For A/"C maintenance this year we went with Service Experts vs Den Air, a costly mistake!! They are thieves and be on the lookout for James. A fast talking con man !! He did all kinds of things we did not ask him. We have 2 A/C units and he was only supposed to clean coils and check the coolant on both machines. He took it upon himself and 1. brought a new type of filter we never asked for and 2. Then he added a layer of insulation foam in the attic which did nothing for lowering the electric bill. Again, he specifically said it would save money on the electric bill but that hasn't changed and actually went up as the temperatures keep going up. And finally he installed very expensive UV lights to kill mold and bacteria again we did not ask for these lights. James forced the sale on us and due to his pushiness we simply paid him. James is not welcome back into the house or property !! From here on out, we will utilize Den Air. Ultimately we paid for 5 years of filters to be serviced by James. But this is a stand your ground state and if James attempts entry, it will not be a good thing. And finally he kept texting me stating I asked 'to be serviced'.. he kept pushing all the services and despite telling him just the basics, he took advantage of me as I had a severe migraine. He even basically threatened me stating he never gets a bad rating (1st time I rated his service and came over and sat on the porch until I changed it, he is nothing more than a thug.)

This place is a GIANT JOKE. I did more diagnostic work than both techs that came over two visits... They never actually did anything I couldn’t have done myself or didn’t already know. Or at least could have Googled. They finished by having a sales girl try to upsell me the most expensive new AC system in their inventory.. AT TWICE THE GOING RATE. I got a second opinion and did some research- they are a COMPLETE RIP OFF! ... and then they spam you with surveys with no way to opt out.

I purchased a twice-per-year scheduled maintenance contract for two whole house A/C units. The charge was made to my credit card 9 days before the scheduled appointment. When I was told that there would be a 2 hour "arrival window," I told them to cancel the transaction, so the agent (Christine, as I recall) told me that she would schedule me with Alex, who would be on time and arrive at the beginning of the window. On the day of the "service," after he was already thirty minutes late, I called and told them that he hadn't shown up, that I was leaving for work. I gave them the option to simply refund the charge they had made to my account without receiving bad reviews from me, but they insisted that if I wanted I refund I had to send them a letter by mail stating the reasons for my request. This company has earned their bad review from me, by not showing up on time and by hassling me about a refund for charges they should have never made before the fact. Never again, and you should stay away from this company.

Problems with them last summer with mess up and issue with getting parts. Out of air for 11 days. We have a contract with them so I have to deal with them. They try to sell you things that you don't need.

This was a Sunday and he came early after I called on Saturday night late. They told me to expect him to call 30 minutes before coming and he did which is very nice. He was polite and explained everything as he went along. They are scheduling a leak examination to find out why it needed the added coolant. The service call was $84 and the coolant $40 per lb.
Description of Work: Our A/C was having a hard time cooling. The tech found we needed 2 lbs. of coolant which he added.

It took two and a half hours. And, then the guy sat out in his truck for another twenty minutes to half hour just to write up the invoice. I got charged twice what they said the price would be. So it did not go very well. Was told I would get the $69 maintenance check up. But was charged $153.00 and had asked what was included and did not even get a new filter even though the one I had was fairly new still, I was paying for it and should have gotten it.
Description of Work: I needed a simple air conditioning maintenance as the unit was only two years old.

I some times have doubts that I really needed it, but what do I know. I have a contract with them so they come twice a year to check the unit and clean it. I will keep them as my provifers as I have had them for ten years. Am not going to change now because I really have never had any problems and the technicians have always been very courteous

when he will be arriving. I was informed that he was still at the previous site. I am not blaming the Tech. I am putting blame on Management and the company for not scheduling correctly, over booking and not caring about the customers time. I informed Service experts that I am shopping for a new company.. I have not cancelled them yet but am looking for alternatives.
Description of Work: I made an appointment earlier that week for a tech to service my A/C to fulfill the 2nd visit in a yearly maintenance contract. I would also renew at this time. I had to leave work to be home between 12pm and 2Pmas that was the agreed upon time for the appointment. While out of town for a family crisis the ac blower fan on our air handler broke. We called service experts who came out when I returned and did the repair. It was fast and professional. I'm very picky about any service done at my home and would definitely recommend them to anyone which I have done many times over the years. I'm now 53 and have been using service experts since I was 28 and had a complete system put in my first home. They did a great job and I still use them today and it's been 25 years of service. I highly recommend Service Experts

I will never allow them near any home I am in. Pushy did not repair unit after a year of coming to house
Description of Work: Came out several times over the year. Before listed date. A/C was never working correctly. Never kept house cool though it was more than adequate. They wanted to sell me a new unit and wanted to wait in the driveway while I thought about buying the unit. I said no called another contractor who checked it out, said one of the compressors was broken but it was still under its 10 year warranty I had a new unit in one week for just a few hundred dollars instead of the several thousand thousand They were going to charge me.

I have been using them for several years and receive very good service. At no time am I pushed towards a new unit. They come and inspect and clean the existing unit (now 20 years old) and have stated that everything is fine so there is no need to replace at this time (knock on wood). With my low bills they continue to say stay with the existing unit until there is a problem and at that time we can address whether replacement is the way to go. I also have requested the same technician recently which they provide as he is familiar with the unit over time. That is not to say that I had any trouble with other technicians. By chance I started getting the same person several times in a row so I started requesting him. I would rate my experience as excellent.

The technician did a good job of informing me that the two parts of the unit (blower/inside and the compressor/outside) were two separate manufacturers and was probably the result of a replacement of the outside unit due to not enough output from the prior compressor. He went on to explain that the blower was beginning to show signs of failure and degradation. Furthermore, the blower was still using the old refrigerant and replacement of the blower would require replacement of the compressor as well.
Description of Work: It was a general inspection of our dated AC unit at the time.

In general they did a great job. There was a problem that took them 2 years to get resolved but I'm still using them for the maintenance of my A/C.
