Description of Work: When I asked for an appointment for screen door repair they informed me that they no longer provide this service. However they did recommend another company and I am waiting for them today.

 + -1 moreThis time, I ended up using another contractor because they were 50% less. In addition, the screen doctor wouldn't fix the screen they had replaced less than a year ago that had blown out. I was disappointed.
Description of Work: I should mention that this was an estimate for 3 screen the cost came to $392 which was 50 percent more than a competitor. I have used this company in the past twice they repaired a screen last year the screen popped out and they refuse to acknowledge that they put the screen in telling me I must be mistaken. I was not mistaken, but disappointed that they wouldn't replace the screen that has been there for less than a year and that their prices have increased significantly since the last time they came out. I would not describe them as friendly.

 + -1 moreWe had the Screen Doctor give us an estimate to replace the screens on the screened in porch, and asked for the supports to be anchored as the structure is 15 years old and the anchors have rusted. Three people arrived on time, worked a total of 4 hours each, and did the $2000.00 job in half a day. The workers were initially polite and seemed to do a good job. However, when we looked at what was done, the L brackets for the support rails were not replaced or reinforced even though the bolts were clearly rusted. This means that any strong wind will blow over the screened porch. When we contacted the owner/supervisor, he was was not responsive to our concerns. He implied that as homeowners, we should have known that the estimate did not include replacement of the L brackets even though we had discussed this issue with him when the job was measured for the estimate. What was done was tapons to anchor the bottom supports of the screens, and the upright rails were not anchored. In addition, even though it was not discussed prior to the time of payment, he wanted the check made out to him personally and not to the business. The owner/supervisor and the workers then said we were "nit-picking" the job and questioning their work. Nevertheless, what they did was done well, it was just not what we asked for and what we thought we were getting. Functionally, it was a good job. However, structurally it is a poor job. When they arrived, if they had mentioned to us that the estimate was not complete and more work needed to be done, we would have been able to work out a compromise and would have agreed to an extra charge if needed.

 + -1 moreI called for an estimate and their office person was unresponsive and then rude when I did speak to her to schedule an appointment. Once I had two associates come to do the estimate, they informed me they could not give me the estimate at that time and it would be emailed to me the next day. That was 2 days ago and I still do not have an estimate. I, fortunately, had gotten estimates from other companies and decided that I did not want to take any chances with a company that could not even professionally give me an estimate. I have since decided to use Screen Builders, which came out and gave me a written estimate that very day.
Description of Work: I could not get an estimate in a timely manner.

 + -1 moreFrom the first email to inquire about an estimate, to the calls I received from Rachel in the office everything went right on schedule. The gentleman that arrived to measure and work up an estimate was extremely pleasant and professional. The young man that came by to disassemble the old screening and to power wash was excellent. Two days later I had my new screen enclosure all done and sparkling clean with three men doing the work. I would highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: They replaced all of the outdoor screen enclosure, changed door closers, secured framework, and power washed.

 + 0 moreOverall, the entire process from start to finish was completely to my satisfaction. The work was done perfectly and they were a pleasure to work with. It was a joy working with Screen Doctor's. It is worth the extra effort to work with good people and great companies! I give Screen Doctor's A+.
Description of Work: We had Screen Doctors come in and replace our existing screen which was very old. The entire process was such a pleasure. For starters when the estimator came out, we asked he call in advance before he arrived so we would know he was there. This might appear to be a small thing but every interaction we had with Screen Doctors was very positive. They called as we asked which helped us since we have two small kids and a dog that we wanted to secure before their arrival. After getting the estimate, we discussed getting a permit which was something I wanted. Working on the permit, I had the opportunity to work with Rachael who manages all of the paperwork, the permitting process, the material acquition and scheduling. Every interaction with Rachel was clear and very professional. My take away from my interaction with Rachael was that working with Screen Doctors was a joy. Everything she said she would do, she did. How many times do you work with companies and they don't do what they say?? You will enjoy working with Screen Doctors as I did. Regarding the workmanship, the old screen was taken down. Everything was removed and they cleaned the place up, leaving nothing behind. It was great to see such a clear space. All of the old materials were taken with them when they left. They even vacuumed the area. Once the materials came in, they completely installed everything in one day. We had new metal fabricated to hide the old posts to match the new screen. The new screen was nice and tight. I also noticed they used caulking on the seams to make the job finished. The new door matched and was perfectly aligned and closed properly. The work Screen Doctor's did was fantastic.
