I walked into the garage yesterday and found the tank had cracked on my 50 gallon gas water heater. We were given Ken's name by a friend, and we called. Ken got Phillip, one of his guys, over within probably 30 minutes, and determined it needed to be replaced (it was 15 years old). He lined up replacement water heater, and including time to go get water heater, we were back up and had hot water within about 2 hours. I think we were lucky to catch them between jobs, but still a superb price for a large gas water heater (looked online and had just the heater running from 1000.00 to over 2000.00). They waited and checked to make sure that our water was heating properly before leaving. Price was to the penny what they quoted ahead of time, and they even upgraded the gas feed line, as the old one was rigid, and should have been flexible, at no extra cost. Love these guys!! The water spigot broke in the morning (Friday) and I was unable to completely turn off the water. The first plumbing company I contacted advised me that the earliest they could respond would be Tuesday and the minimum charge would be $115. I then contacted Pence Plumbing Company and left a voicemail message. Approximately 15 minutes later Ken Pence contacted me and advised that he could come out later in the day. At around 2:30 pm, Ken called me to advise that he was on the way. Ken took care of the problem in a reasonable length of time and then we talked about some of the other plumbing work that I was interested in having done in the future. I would recommend Pence Plumbing for any of your plumbing needs.

Our hot water tank was not working properly. Hot water in the shower and faucets was coming out much too hot. The tank was a little over a year old. I wasn't happy with the plumber who installed it, so I decided to call Ken at Pence Plumbing (561-308-7312) who had been highly recommended by several other folks in my neighborhood. Ken checked the tank and told me I had a bad heating element. Since the tank was still under warranty, the replacement parts--upper and lower heating elements--were free so I only had to pay for the labor. Ken was great. The parts were Fed-Exed to me by the manufacturer, and Ken was working on the repair within less than an hour after the parts arrived. He took care of our emergency quickly, explained the problem to me, and answered all my questions. Great job!
Description of Work: Checked hot water tank for problem and repaired it.
