 + -1 moreA waste of my time. Vendor was unwilling to discuss alternative solutions. Withdrawing was an indication that he was no longer comfortable with his original plans even though he said repeated times he knew the area well and has lived here with his family for many years. Many contractors carry insurance and licenses, not all have the expertise. Adding additional or lager drain holes is an everyday task for a contractor that does concrete work. I can't imagine having to work thru unexpected challenges or a difficult project with someone that behaves in this manner. UNPROFESSIONAL.
Description of Work: Job: Filling an area in an existing patio with approximately 5 cubic yards of concrete and drill three 2" holes on patio enclosure walls for drains. Contractor visited site. Gave a verbal estimate which seemed outrageous. Later left voicemail indicating he would do the job for half that amount. Vendor collected the deposit and the work was scheduled. A few days later a neighbor expressed concerned on possible flooding so I contacted the vendor to discuss the issue. I asked that more drain holes be added. The contractor withdrew from the existing agreement and said would have to write me "a proper" proposal which double in price.

 + 0 moreThey were responsive, punctual, professional and HONEST. Hendry's jumped in when we were left with an incomplete job to finish our driveway. They obtained a new permit within hours versus 3 weeks it took for original contractor. They passed inspection IMMEDIATELY and were able to finish job within 3 days-- even though they quoted up to 5 days. I highly recommend them!
