BILL GILBERT ELECTRIC INC

After waiting half a day for the company to show up as per appointment, I received a call from the company advising me that their electricians would not be able to come until the following day. When they did show up the next day, the first thing they did was install the recessed ceiling light; unfortunately, despite my prior instructions to the company regarding the preferred color scheme, the recessed light installed proved to be the wrong color. The appropriately colored fixture was replaced later that day as were the two wall switches. I subsequently received an invoice for the work performed which struck me as excessive. I checked with an independent electrician thereafter and was advised that given the scope of the work done I had been overcharged approximately $120.00, if not more.

Work agreed to be done on the side light, the technician ignored it and left, the office turned on the denial machine., then wanted to charge another $125 to come out to do simple, 2-minute job that they did not finish in the first place. Despite calling numerous times and promises of the owner to "get back" to me, no-one bothered to fix this.

Bill and Dennis arrived on time and got right to work installing a bathroom vent fan to replace an old one. They performed the work without an issue and cleaned up the work area nicely. As an aside: several months ago, a different electrician was at my home working on another project. I asked for an estimate to replace the same bath vent fan and was quoted at least $350 because of the amount of work to go into the attic and cut a new place in the ceiling. They were supposed to follow-up, never did, and I didn't call them. Glad I didn't call them, because the install wasn't as big of a deal as they led me to believe. I have another project to complete with my landscape lighting and will definitely ask for Bill and Dennis to work on that as well. I have found a reliable electrician.

The office called to move the appointment to the next day, which was not a problem for me. They came the next day, and were able to complete most of the work. Whatever could not be completed (I had to leave for an appointment), they came back and finished as scheduled. They were very knowledgeable and professional.

He was excellent all around. He was prompt, courteous, professional, and dependable. He also charges a fair price.

Called on a Tuesday and rep said they could come out the following Monday, I wanted sooner but ok. She called the next morning saying she may be able to fit me in later in the day, which ended up happening (so they were here with in in 24 hours) They were courteous, timely and polite. Rick also explained and showed to me what they did. I gave a B on price because I thought the parts were a little pricey, but more than likely out of their control. We would definitely use them again and would recommend them to friends.

They had to research the problem but when they discovered the issue it was quickly resolved. Very friendly, professional and did quality work making sure everything was in order when the left.

They arrived on time with high ladder which they rented as one. Smoke alarm was 19 ft. high! Supplied the new smoke alarms.

Called in the morning and they were there within an hour. Went right to work and fixed the outlet. Very professional and polite. They cleaned up after themselves. We will use Bill Gilbert as our professional electrician from now on.

I contacted Bill Gilbert initially because of a problem with an outlet in the kitchen. The serviceman traced the problem to my breaker box which was about 40 years old. I had noticed "sizzling" sounds from the box due to bad connectivity and I had also experienced flickering lights in the house. He indicated I needed a new breaker box and this came as no surprise to me. So they provided me an estimate and we scheduled the job. They arrived right on time and spent most of the day on the job. When completed they even cleaned up my garage of debris. I was very happy with the service.

He's great, real professional, no funny business, I had extra work for him and he was reasonable on price.

My partner called to discuss hot tub installation on Thursday and called again on Friday after confirming an electrician was required. Was advised that electrician might be able to get to it over the weekend, but more likely on Monday or Tuesday. Having called back, was then advised that the electrician would be out to look at the job on Tuesday but would not be able to be scheduled until following week. Decided to get a different electrician in for the job, who will come out and complete the install Tuesday. His office did the troubleshooting over the phone so that he would have the right parts/tools with him to complete the job, negating the need for a separate visit.

I was kept informed as to the exact arrival of electrician by phone, service was very pleasant and efficient, as it was when I used Bill Gilbert's a couple of years ago. I'm so happy there are still honorable and reliable people as at this company!

As mentioned above, they solved our problem and were very reasonable on pricing. An excellent value for services provided.

Group of 4 guys worked very well and efficiently together. They were tidy and performed the work quickly. They had the right tools and common sense to know how to locate can lights in the right spot, centered and within proper positions with respect to each other. They also made sure that I was comfortable with the location and helped to avoid strobe effect of lights with my big a** fan. When you are installing new light fixtures, there is more to it than just twisting wire nuts together. You want someone that has an interest in the finished work, too.

Called right before labor day weekend, and came to fix Tuesday morning. Very happy.

Rick and Bill were great. They were very knowledgeable, professional and prompt. They did everything that was asked of them and went above and beyond. We were having outlets added to the outside of our home. They could have just ran the line and pipe cover along the outside of the house under the eaves, where it would be seen, but instead, they climbed up into our HOT, small attic and ran the lines that way so they would not be seen. Yes, they were professional, but also took pride in their work and it showed. I would definitely recommend them and will definitely use them again should the need arise.
