+ -1 moreI never had a problem until they installed a new air handler. They caused 2 ceiling leaks in my house that cost me $1,400 to fix. They finally did fix what caused the leaks. They said 7 weeks ago they’d pay $360 to reimburse me. Have not seen a penny! If you like your ceiling, DO NOT hire them!

+ -1 moreI kept contacting them since they had replaced a unit and I felt like I had to go to them in order?to get warranty service. They really weren't very good -- really bad. I ended up going to another company and they did a lot better job. We had them go out there several times. The parts were under warranty but the labor wasn't so you had to pay extra for. It seems like every time they fixed it something else would happen. I kept going to them because I bought it from them. I thought I had to go through them to be able to get advantage of the warranty. I finally figured it was more expensive to get service from them than it was to pay somebody else to fix it. After they fixed it we were still having issues. I called another company and they went out there and still found some things that had not been fixed properly. While the second company was out there for repair we have not had any problems since.
Description of Work: My dad had Airstar for a while for air conditioning. First they changed one unit and then they changed the other unit and it kept failing.

+ -1 moreI would say that my experience was disappointing given how well everything was being handled with the service contract. I didn't bother to ask for my money back as I didn't want the hassle.
Description of Work: AirStar is really responsive. I started using them because of a problem with a previous provider. They jumped in right away and fixed the problem. I purchases a service contract. That was administered really well. They called me when the service was due. I then needed an entirely new AC and I purchased that from them June 2011. Over the summer of 2011, my brand new unit kept losing freon. My condo was over 85 degrees! They came out the first time and fixed the problem. A week alter there was no problem. The came out a second time and couldn't find the problem. They charged me $350 for the visit. The third time I lost freon, the explanation was that someone was steeling the freon. I went to another provider who found the problem. The copper pipes going into the ground had split under the ground. This was a problem not only for me but six other units!
