+ 0 moreThis was my second window project using this company. Rene Grissom, owner, is such a joy to work with! I wanted some light-shielding privacy at the french doors in my dining room that open onto my porch. Rene suggested a woven wood drape which provided a very contemporary, decorative look. The drape slides back and forth for easy operation and has the ability to stack completely clear of the doors when in the open position. It is beautiful!! Rene's attention to detail in both the drape and installation is extraordinary and matchless! She remained on site during the entire installation guaranteeing complete functionality and satisfaction. If you've got windows that need blinds, etc., you need Rene!!! I highly recommend her!

After meeting with Rene, my decision was easily made. With her knowledge, professionalism, and friendly personality, Rene was a pleasure to work with! From estimation to installation, my experience with Rene and her company was outstanding and deserves an A+++. The plantation shutters beautifully dress the windows throughout my home giving it a whole different look and feel. Rene is also well known for her interior design and decorating skills. She knows the area's businesses and the contractors that can do it all. Thank you, Rene, for recommending and consulting with Stephen Montenero and Interior Home LLC regarding renovations to my home. Thanks also to Stephen and Noah for their expertise and patient guidance through the bathroom remodels, complete interior painting, and installation of beautiful shadow boxes on the entry walls. My 30 years old home looks brand new again!!! The consensus from my family was WOW! From opening the front door to walking into each room, they were amazed by the transformation! It is stunning! So I highly recommend Rene and Stephen for your shutters/blinds, decorating, and remodeling needs!!! I would definitely use them again and will refer them to my friends!!!

The communication was excellent, every aspect of the job was detailed and the job completed to the schedule and above and beyond my expectations. Everyone who has come into the house the consensus was WOW!!!! this place looks incredible. People who have been in model homes said the decorating by Rene was a the top they had ever seen. Should you hire Rene.... YES!!!! On a closing note I had a budget and she worked perfectly to the budget. A+++++ on every aspect of her work. From the decorating, the blinds, the coordination the communication. It does not get any better than Rene!
Description of Work: I had a 2000 square foot home in Stuart that was solid on the outside but on life support on the inside. Carpeting was stained and worn, paint colors were atrocious, blinds were cracking and slats were missing, furniture was dated and significantly worn, there was no theme to all the Knick knacks and pictures, tile grout was darkened and the list goes on.... I needed to bring this home with so much potential back to life. This was a monumental task and to top it off I needed it completed in less than a month with a drop dead date before the holidays.

It was a pleasure doing business with her and I would recommend her because she can fit a window treatment to your budget.

Despite several problems which were not her fault or the upholsterer's she handle everything efficiently and professionally. the last job was for a sunshade for my lanai. She does not leave until everything is PERFECT. I would highly recommend her.

I found Rene from "Got Windows Need Blinds" on Angie's List, and thank goodness I did. I now have a fully furnished home (inside and out) and amazing plantation shutters throughout. Rene measured, shopped, scheduled deliveries, etc. She knows the best stores and contractors that can do it all. Soup to nuts. She'll do as much or as little as you need. The only thing you need to decide is a budget for her to work with. Moving isn't fun. Got Windows need Blinds took most of the stress out of it for me. Thank you sooo much!

Suffice to say we were delighted with the skill, solutions and process of working with Rene Grissom and would work with her again. Further we have recommended her to our friends.
Description of Work: Rene Grissom originally came to provide design consultation. She absolutely nailed with a great eye for exactly what our tired living room needed. Yes, her expertise extends well beyond windows! She helped us measure for the perfect size and placement and then shopped with me to find the perfect furniture. Then we moved on to window coverings. We had procrastinated for far too long. Rene was able to bring beautiful plantation shutters to some rooms, blinds to others and a wonderful woven shade/curtain to a huge window in our foyer. All was done for much less than we expected. We wish we had found her before using Lowe's for the original "must-have" window coverings. She brought her designer's eye and knowledge of all the options to the task rather than simply measuring and installing. She was on-site for the installation. In the end her higher quality, more creative solutions were probably less expensive than high end Lowe's options. Nothing wrong with our Lowe's window coverings, but a designer brings much more to the process that I would highly recommend this option. In addition to her good eye, knowledge and skill, Rene is a delightful woman who made the entire process fun. She encouraged our views rather than imposing hers. We selected rugs and end tables on our own to finish the living room and she offered simple suggestions from photos we sent. Once again her trained eye made a big difference.

+ -1 moreEverything was done promptly and professionally. Her installers were careful and considerate of existing furniture and flooring. The job was completed within three weeks of the date I ordered the product. When I needed a sample of the product, Renee went out of her way to drop one off at my building. Renee's guidance in all aspects of the selection was excellent. Since one set of sliders was off-center in the width of the room, Renee had the company compensate the length of one side so that the window coverings met exactly at the center of the sliders. The end product was perfect. She was a delight to work with, and I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone considering using her.
Description of Work: Renee's company took down all the existing window coverings and rehung two sets of plantation shutters when my hurricane impact windows were installed. She helped me select woven wood bifold sliders for both the LR and MBR, and had them installed perfectly.

+ -1 moreThis job was done in our second residence and we do not live there, so i had to coordinate the timing of the job for when I would be in town. Renee was punctual, thorough and provided me with a variety of options. It has been several months since the installation and overall I am very pleased. You do get what you pay for, and I paid for a higher quality shutter for my covered and protected porch windows which get blasted by the west sun. So far, no bubbling of the finish on the shutters or warping - and it has survived the two seasons Florida gets...hot and mildly cold. I have had some trouble with the folding doors regarding the floor track, but I know a simple call to Renee will bring her to my rescue (I am completing renovations in other areas of the condo and am waiting until everyone is finished before bringing her back out to address the mild issue with the doors). I am confident, based on the relationship we established when she was here this past summer, that she will respond promptly and will update this review as needed. Be advised...if you pay for cheap blinds you will get cheaper quality blinds. For about 30% more cost, I had professional installation (had a few tricky windows that were angled, etc) and a quality product that I know will be supported in the long run. Worth it from my perspective.

After meeting with Rene' we felt so positive we cancelled the quote from the second company. Rene' measured each window, explained options and showed us alternatives. We decided on the plantation shutters. They lookGot Windows, came out with two installers and Rene' was there to help and answer any questions. The shutters were installed professionally and efficiently. They look wonderful. We have since had Rene' back out for a blind solution for the glass panel in our front door. Rene' offers a quality product and professionalism. Being knew to the area she also gave us several referral's for other services we needed. We would not hesitate to use Got Windows, Need Blinds on any other future needs and would recommend them to anyone needing window treatments.

+ -1 moreI cannot say enough good things about Got Windows? Need Blinds!, and the owner Rene' Grissom. They were just fantastic to work with. I picked Got Windows? Need Blinds! from Angie's List reviews. My wife called and set up an appointment with Rene'. She showed up on time and explained our options. She measured the windows and once we decided on the style, she gave us a price and a time frame for the blind installation. We paid a little less than half of the amount up front. Since we were painting the interior too, we asked Rene' about colors and she was more than happy to oblige. She is just an easy-going friendly person who is a pleasure to deal with. Rene' called the day before the installation was due. The installation went great and the installer was very accomodating. Rene' stayed the whole time, assisting the installer where possible. The blinds came out fantastic!!! We are very pleased with the outcome. What a huge difference! In the following week or so, we found a very small issue with the blinds. Rene' apologized and promptly setup an appoitment to have it fixed. They arrived as scheduled and fixed the minor issue. The whole experience with Rene' and her company was outstanding. I highly recommend them! Thanks Rene'!!!!

+ -1 moreI found the individually owned company on Angie's List, read the reviews and called the number provided. Rene' responded promptly by phone and met us on the arranged day and time. She worked with us on price for the shutters. We were in a "time crunch" to have them installed before our movers arrived, and she worked with the manufacturer to get the shutters here and installed under that timeline. The framing for the shutters is beautiful and the shutter quality is excellent and work well and look great. The installer she brought with her knew what he was doing. She later measured, ordered the material and made sheers for our glass sliding doors. I thought that the price for the sheers was a little high, but I checked elsewhere and found that prices for custom curtains and fabric have increased more than the cost of shutters. Rene' is an experienced professional, knows the area, and I highly recommend her and would use her again.

At the same time, she was very professional. Based on the information she provided, my husband and I were able to quickly decide the type of bamboo blinds we wanted for our beach house. Rene took it from there. She had her installer double-check all of her measurements, had the blinds fabricated, and was present for the installation. Everything went perfectly. My husband and I were thrilled with the result and have had tons of complements on our bamboo blinds. During the process, Rene was a great communicator. She regularly provided us with updates via phone messages and texts. We have only compliments for Rene and her fine work.
Description of Work: Rene discussed window treatment options and measured our windows so that she could give me a fair estimate of the cost. Once my husband and I decided on a style, Rene sent her installer to confirm the measurements. Rene had the blinds fabricated and then supervised the installation.

Description of Work: Rene advised us on the best window treatments for our condo. We were looking for something to "finish" up our living areas and bring the open spaces together and "warm" it up. And she did just that. Love our new valances.

She took the time to explain the different materials and variables in cost . Since she is also a decorator, she gave me excellent ideas for our home that were reasonable. In one section which is a cottage style, I wanted the plantation shutters, but she suggested wooden blinds for a softer look. I know they were less expensive and she would make less money because of this,but she was honest and her choice gave the rooms a perfect feel.She was always on time and went out of her way to make sure we were happy with the finished product. A real professional and a pleasure to work with!
