+ -1 moreThe guy was super. He is very well rated with Angie's List, everyone loves him. We had some leakage around our washer and dryer so we assumed the problem was with the washer. He determined that it was actually the dryer. There was actually a mist cycle on the dryer. There was a water line running to the dryer and it had become defective. He diagnosed and fixed the problem, he was excellent. His price was fantastic, it was a bargain. His quality was excellent. He was about 20 to 30 minutes late, but he communicated that to us over the phone, so he was there when he said he would be. I would absolutely use him again in the future. He was absolutely fantastic.

Description of Work: Gary came promptly and immediately knew the problem with my 15 year old Maytag washer! He had to order the part which was the most expensive part! He also took a look at my screeching dryer and repaired it at the same time.... Saving me price if an extra call! Then I asked him why my ice maker was working correctly and he took a look and said he didn't repair Samsung but told me what to do and by the time he left it was working ! I definitely would have him back again! A 5 star rating!!!!!

+ -1 moreGary arrived on time and went right to work. He laid out towels to keep the work area clean. He determined that my water line to the water dispenser was not frozen as I had assumed. I had tried to melt the ice that I had assumed formed in the water line with a hair dryer and ended up deforming the dispenser arm which caused the ice dispenser to stop working as well. Gary was able to use a shim to get the ice dispenser to work again. He then determined that the valve which supplies water to the ice dispenser only was no longer working. He replaced the faulty valve and my water dispenser was working again. While he was behind the refrigerator, he cleaned the coils as preventative maintenance. I would definitely recommend calling Gary if you need a large appliance repaired.
Description of Work: Gary was able to fix the indoor ice and water dispenser in my GE side by side refrigerator.

+ -1 moreThere was a problem with a dishwasher rinsing the dishes clean enough and we thought that maybe it was time to replace it. Decided to call Gary which was a good decision. He pointed out what would cause it to not rinse and made some adjustments which proved to be just what it needed. Still running good! Would highly recommend Gary for his honesty, skill and professionalism!

+ -1 moreWhile Gary arrived a little while after he was originally scheduled, he advised us in advance that he was running late due to a service call taking longer than anticipated. We were agreeable and he arrived as rescheduled. He apologized again to demonstrate that he did not take his adjusted arrival time for granted. He immediately got started to analyze the ice maker situation, performing tests and taking steps to make sure that a replacement of the ice maker unit was absolutely necessary. He kept me informed each step of the way and clearly explained the problem. He was neat and was equipped with tools and towels to make sure there was no water spilled as he worked. He quoted the price and the warranty. It was quick and painless. We would definitely call on him again.

+ -1 moreI called Gary on Tuesday and he scheduled me in for Friday. He called me Thursday afternoon to let me know that he van had broken down. I totally understood that; we have been there. It's only him that does all the repairs, no other people. When he arrived Friday, he got to work right away and showed me what was wrong. Thank God, nothing was broken with our washer. He showed me how to clean out the piece before the water pump. He even told me how our front loader works compared to a top loader and how to keep it really clean. When the time comes for another repair, I will definetly call him again!

He was polite and super professional . He showed my mother how to use all functions of the washer and showed her some maintenance pointers. He was fantastic and a pleasure. Highly recommend!!

+ -1 moreGary had the problem mostly diagnosed over the phone and came prepared with the two possible parts. He was on time and gave me a courtesy call before his arrival. He had the problem fixed within the timeframe of his minimum house call charge. I would call him again without a doubt. He repairs large appliances, i.e., stoves, refrigerators, washers, dishwashers, etc. He's a rare gem in the repair business.
Description of Work: The indicator light on my stove top stayed on all time. He replaced the switch part.

He explained what he found to be the problem, why it caused the problem, and did it without patronizing. It was a good experience and will call Gary for any other appliance problem in the future.

He arrived at the times we agreed on and called ahead to let me know he was on his way. Charges very reasonable. He did not make or suggest any unnecessary repair and only replaced the parts that were needed. Would not hesitate to call him again.

Description of Work: My Maytag washer did not empty the water and was making a terrible noise when spinning. I called Gary after finding his name on Angies List and told him the problem. He stated that his service call was $69.00 and that would apply to the first half hour of repair (should I chose to have the washer repaired). We made the appointment for 2:00pm today. At 1:30pm he called me to let me know that he was on his way and would call again when he turned down my street (he did). Prior to taking the washer apart he told me that it sounded like one of two things, the pump berrings or the motor. He gave me the price of the parts prior to doing any work and reminded me that the $69.00 service charge was in addition to the parts. After taking the washer apart, he found that indeed it was the pump (he had one with him on the truck in anticipation). I agreed to the repair. After 40 min. the washer was repaired. In adition he repositioned my dryer and vents at no charge. When giving me the bill, I was very pleased, the part was only $42.00 and the entire labor was the original $69.00.
