North Florida Lawn & Pest

BE FOREWARNED. I contracted with North Florida Lawn & Pest for lawn & tree/shrub service and paid in advance for the year. They treated my lawn 5 times and, during two of those visits, treated trees/shrubs. I was not all that pleased with their work so I cancelled the contract and asked for a refund of the balance. Seven weeks and five calls later and lots of excuses (e.g., manager is out sick, need to follow up on it for you, the refund is in process for issuance, let me check with the manager) I finally receive a refund BUT the refund check was for only $105.50, instead of the $343 remaining in my account. I seldom go to the trouble of writing an online review, but this time I feel compelled to express my displeasure with this company. I wish I hadn't paid the year in advance. They offer a small discount for prepaying, but this saga concerning the refund of my balance has caused me to seriously reconsider ever prepaying anything ever again.

They do terrible work. Three of their techs told me that their other techs did not do a good job on my yard. If you love weeds and bare spots in your yard this is the company for you.

Wasting of time and money! Hired them for chinch bugs control and prevention. Absolutely no results, all front yard grass is gone. Rating 1 because 0 is not an option. Highly disappointed and would NOT recommend to others. Stay away from this one!

We will never, ever recommend this company to anyone. We paid them on time, each time to do a service that it turns out they were not doing. We would have terrible weed and bug problems with our lawn. A competitor left a note on our door saying that this tech walked around but did not apply product. We never would find any granules of product, just weeds. I spoke to the owner about this. He promised not to send that tech out anymore. He did not live up to his word and sent that same tech out again. We then did not pay the last bill, wrote them a letter stating why. We asked them several times to contact us. They never did. However, they did send us to collections. So, if you want to hire a company, pay them to do a service that they will not do and end up replacing a great deal of your lawn, then this is the one. We may bill them for our stress and the dead lawn we had to replace. Our neighbor quit them also. Maybe a class action lawsuit is in their future if they keep doing business this way.
