We've been in business for 11 years and are located near 9A and US1. All of our employees are back ground checked and drug tested and we only use our employees not sub-contractors. We are licensed and insured, NATE certified, Bryant factory authorized and Trane comfort specialists. I'm 70 years old. Moved and renovated homes many times. Waychoff's Air Conditioning by far the BEST I ever worked with. Installed a new Bryant system w/air purification 6 weeks ago. Great team. Thanks to Mike (sales consultant), I got the perfect A/C system tailored to my needs for a reasonable price. Completed to perfection by 2 professional installers; Tim and Mike. I dont understand all the glowing reviews here. Tech comes as AC was not working, charges $80 diagnostics + $150 for capacitor change (tech says he being generous applied $50 coupon. The unit goes bad in 6 weeks, wants to charge $80 to see it again even if the same issue or not. They wanted me to do expensive services recommended by tech. Other service contractor says, its low on freon and serviced the unit for half cost. Wonder if a charge of $230 worth it? for such a lousy service.

The technician told my landlord that I was a Slum Lord and I don't care about the repairs, so I call a let a message for his manager and he never called me back...

Waychoffs appears on the front to be an outstanding company. Which is one of the reason we were so thrilled to use them. They installed our a/c unit. The a/c unit install was fine. They also insulated our attic. The 1st installer in the attic rushed through the job and didn’t install as much as we originally paid for. We double checked behind them and discovered it wasn’t done properly. We informed the company and they came back and made it right. The supervisor was very apologetic and said that the installer was in a hurry and was trying to get done quickly. We decided to use them for our yearly service for our residence and our rental. When the technician came to do the service, he didn’t clean out the bottom of the outside unit pans on either place. I’m not even sure he really did anything other than diagnose it because our rental is approx. 10 minutes from our house. He emailed me the invoice at 1:19pm, for my residence when he left, take off 10 minutes to travel. Then emailed the rental invoice at 1:55pm. That seems like not much time to do a thorough job on the unit in my opinion. My confidence in this company in doing a thorough job now is zero. When I called to let them know, they said they would send him back out to make it right. The operations supervisor said that he talked to the technician and he said that he was in a hurry and forgot. Appears to be a common theme. Rush, rush, and hurry, hurry. When the tech called me the next day he acted like he was oblivious as to why he was coming back. Keep in mind he was supposedly talked to by the operations supervisor already about the issue. When I explained to him that he didn’t clean out the pans he tried to say that it didn’t need to be done. I took pictures, showing lots of debris in the bottom pan and sent them to the operations manger and the sales rep. I called the operations supervisor back and told him that the tech acted oblivious to me on the phone, and made up excuses to me that it didn’t need to be done, when the pictures clearly showed it did in fact need to be done. The operations supervisor told me that it was written down very clear in the Tech’s work ticket why he was coming back, and he supposedly talked to him already anyway. Both the operations supervisor and the sales rep agreed it is something that should be done at each 6-month visit, that it needed done, and that it was a part of the maintenance package. I tried requesting a new Tech, because at this point I just felt uneasy about this guy lying to me and not doing a thorough job, and they refused to send a new one out so they are fired! When you lie to your customers, don’t be surprised if they fire you and go somewhere else. This is unacceptable for a company of this size with their reputation! I recommend to all reviewers of this company to check behind any installation and your technicians work. They might try to do half the work for the full price, and speak up.

I called Waychoffs Air Conditioning around 8:30, the morning of. I was advised that they could have a service man out, between 1 and 4. Around 1:45, I got a call from the service man, and said he would be out in about 30 minutes. He was true to his word. Once he got there, he pulled the shield off the a/c in the garage, and then went around back to check the unit in the yard. He took the water hose and got all the ice out of the unit outside, and then came back in the garage,and started getting the ice out of the unit, there. He was very nice, and explained everything to me, as he went a long. Writing the results of different test he was doing on the a/c, as he went a long. At the end of his accessment, he explained that there was a leak in the unit, and gave me the price. He gave me several several plans I could use, and gave me the choice. I went on his recommendations, and he proceeded to fix the problem. He did super work, cleaned up after himself very nicely, and never lost his smile.
Description of Work: De-iced our A/C unit, inside and out, and put new freeon in the system.

It went fine. No damage due to flood waters, however, the technician did find that the fan motor would soon need to be replaced & the unit had severely clogged lines. Those issues were taken care of. The technician was great. He was professional, knowledgeable & was very neat. He was also proud of the company for which he works. That says a lot.

They overcharged me and the unit stopped working about 13 months later. They didn't give me options of finding a new unit at that time.

If ever there is such a thing as perfect for this type job, this was it. Absolutely zero mental strain! Professional service from start to finish. Anyone requiring a new central heat pump must, at a minimum, get one of the estimates from Waychoffs. At one point during the installation when additional "muscle" was needed, two additional Waychoff employees arrived on scene so no delay occurred. Very impressive!
Description of Work: Replaced our Central Heat Pump-A/C system. our original system was undersized to meet the needs of the square footage plus we opted for one of they best systems offered. After several weeks of usage, this has proven to have been the correct decision. With the multi-stage system our room temperature remains constant, without the noticeable blast of cool air when the compressor would "kick in".

Fantastic company! Tracy Poor, our sales professional, came by and did a thorough inspection of our existing system and ductwork. He laid out, in detail, his plan for what we had asked for and gave us several efficiency options. He also helped us to address the very strong pet odor that the previous owner left for us :). We opted for the highest efficiency system, ductwork enhancements, and a product called the Air Knight, which works wonderfully. The smell in the house was gone after 3 days. We could not be happier. The installation was professional and quick, and our 1st electric bill came in at $132, during the hottest month this year (august). We absolutely recommend Waychoff's for all of your A/C needs!

Remember that if they are sending a "technician" to diagnose your problem you are NOT getting a Licensed Air Conditioning Contractor. My "technician" walked in and within 5 minutes was writing out a bill for $86 for a diagnosis I had already made without even looking at the unit. His diagnostic ability was to turn the breaker and the fan on and conclude I needed a new motor. There was no testing of the motor module, wiring, or thermostat at all. I was then quoted a bill for either $252 labor if I supplied the part or $850 for both labor and the part if they did it. The "labor" consisted of 6 screws and I found the part for $286. All in all a great eye opener in the economics of a/c repair companies. They need to take some of this exorbitant overhead and use it to repair their truck which broke down on the way over. Remember, a "Certified" tech is NOT a Licensed tech.

Jorge was very nice and completed the work professionally. Unfortunately, the operations and customer service was not very cooperative. I forgot to present a $50 coupon that the company had on their website to Jorge at the time of payment. I called him right away after he left my home and he said to call the office the next day and have it applied. When I called the office they said they could not apply it because it had to be presented at the time of payment. The coupon on the site has no such statement about presenting it at the time of payment. I would have expected this to be a very straightforward process of giving me a $50 credit. The company just lost me as a customer.
Description of Work: AC was leaking water at the bottom of the air handler and the technician Jorge determined that the unit was low on refrigerant.

This company is very unfair and does NOT know how to treat a good customer. I originally contacted them to do multiple repairs they previously suggested but after deciding to do only a portion of the repairs, they tacked on a service call and insisted I pay for the repair before it was done. I was told the repair would take about 30 minutes and could be done first thing in the morning however since I questioned this unfair practice of paying upfront (and feeling like a 2nd class citizen) , they blew me off and said they couldn't do the repair until the outside temperatures were lower which doesn't coincide with the schedule of a morning repair, I do not recommend using Waychoff's.

Waychoffs made this installation a very pleasant experience. With the heat index above 100 degrees and our old system barely limping along, we were dreading the entire process. Scott assessed our home and our needs and provided options for systems which would promote optimal comfort and energy efficiency. He also made suggestions on improving our duct work and insulation to help address problems with a warm area in our home. The new system was installed in one day, and I want to thank the team of installation technicians who did a wonderful job in extremely hot and humid conditions! I congratulate Waychoff's on employing such pleasant, efficient, and professional people. Scott made a follow-up visit a week after the system was installed, and verified that we had no problems or questions. Our new system works beautifully and we are enjoying the comfort, the quiet, and the controlled humidity. I would recommend Waychoff's to anyone -- actually, I already have!
Description of Work: Installed new Bryant 5-stage heat pump, improved air duct design in attic, installed additional insulation in attic, installed new thermostat, tested entire system, and returned a week later for a final walk-through inspection and to make sure that we were happy and had no further questions.
