USA Painting

Painter Patrick Gainey walked off the job - claims to be bonded. I just discovered it is not a contract performance bond but one that covers him in case one of his crew commits a criminal act. USA Painting was hired to complete the painting of my home and the separate garage apartment. Much of the heavy prep work and painting had already been done on the home and there was not a whole lot to do on the garage. He knew that the front of the house and back door area had not been done. Mr, Gainey told me he would be present at all times with his crew unless he had to run out to do an estimate. He did not even work all of the first day here and was less than truthful about running other jobs. The work his crew did was fine and may have been really good with someone there to supervise. We found ourselves having to be constantly involved because Mr. Gainey wasn't. He seemed to get upset when we asked him to cover paint and patch cans so we would not have to replace ruined product or keep the area clean. Patrick promised he and his crew would sand and caulk and make the shingles, brick and wood look new. When he did more work than bargained for on the front of the house, I offered to pay extra. Before Mr. Gainey started my work, the shingles on the house had been primed and the first coat of paint applied. After Patrick sprayed the last coat on the house shingles, many were covered with tiny visible bubbles that had burst, leaving a very rough surface. When I pointed this out and asked how it could be fixed, he gathered his crew and walked off. He had not put the first bit of paint on the garage. I've wasted my money, time and sanity with the guy.

I hold my highest regards to Mr. Patrick Gainey, for his professionalism in interior painting. Due to his 25 years experience he knows his trade very well and will be a great asset for anyone who need extra advice or concerns. Therefore I am making a quality recommendation as a homeowner.
