This review is a long time coming as our pool was built several years ago. This company was used by our pool contractor to install our pool deck so cost was covered under our contract with the pool company. I asked for a specific design which took a while for them to determine that they could do it. Within one year, our pool deck had cracks. When called, we were told, "If the crack is less than the width of a dime, just paint over it." Very dismissive. We would not use again.

Description of Work: Tony and his guys resurfaced our old, dirty, cracked and damaged pool deck. They had to grind off the old surface and dig out all the cracks as well as remove the old drain and expansion joints. Once they had the old surface ground down, they filled the cracks, replaced the drain and expansion joints and leveled the entire surface (more than 800 sf) by hand. They refinished the deck with a slate pattern and texture using several coats of an acrylic product and then hand-cut and painted in grout lines. The finished product looks amazing!! Incredible how well it came out, considering what the pool deck looked like before. The guys were prompt - the job required 3-4 guys on site for 5 days and they were there on time every day. They cleaned up after themselves every day and made sure the pool and the new enclosure we had just installed stayed clean and free of paint and debris. Outstanding job and we couldn't be happier with the results. Also very reasonably priced considering the amount of labor involved in the job. Would highly recommend!

Once we hired him, he told us it would be a few weeks before they could start the work. We had no problem with that and understood that weather and other factors would influence that. Approx. two weeks after we hired him, he called on a Friday evening to say his guys would be at our home around 9am the next day (Saturday). When we woke up that morning it was overcast and drizzly at our home so we figured he would call to cancel. We never got a call. On Monday morning he called around 8:30am to say he was on his way to our home. I was very happy about that and mentioned that I was on my way out to work for the day so no one would be home. He then asked how he could get access to the panel box just incase they threw a breaker while working. I informed him that I had no idea someone had to be home. I suggested he give it a try and if the breaker was thrown we would have to reschedule because my husband and I both work M-F. He proceeded to get irritated with me and was quite rude about the whole thing. Saying "well I guess we will just be done then". I told him that had I known in advance he was going to need access to the breaker box I could have planned accordingly but I can't just call in to my boss without notice. I also reminded him that we were expecting them to be there Saturday to which he rudely responded that it was raining and we should have known they wouldn't be there. Yes...true...weather was an issue and we did assume that's why they didn't show up but the professional and courteous thing to do would have been to call to ask if they could come on Monday instead (especially since he needed someone to be home). I told him he was being very unprofessional and I didn't understand why he would speak to his customers that way. He didn't apologize instead he blamed me for telling him we would have to reschedule. Again, I was simply trying to tell him that we work and can't just get a day off without permission and notice. I said maybe we just need to forget about the whole thing and he said "yes, I agree. we are done" and hung up. It's a shame that he didn't understand what I was trying to say about needing notice and instead chose to get defensive and behave in a completely unprofessional manner. He must have so much business that ours didn't matter to him.
