THOMPSON WOOD FLOORING INC

I was given an estimate of 2-2.50/ sq ft. for install and same for finishing. I was charged 7.50/sq ft. for the amount of material he told me to buy and ended up w/ over 150 sq ft. extra material. I stated this was not what he quoted and was told he would stain my doors and windows for no extra charge. When he finished the floors, he asked for full payment and to trust him that he would come back and finish. He did not finish even after repeated unanswered phone calls and text messages. Mistake 1. agreed to pay too much. mistake 2. paid in full before job was done..... I should file a small claim against him.... Not pleasant to work with either. Very bossy to his clients..

The Thompson brothers are great! On the day they were to refinish my floors, and after draping the entry ways into the room to control the dust, I mentioned that I still had drywall work to do. Mike quickly recommended that they come back when that was completed as to not ruin the new floor. They also showed me a sample of the stain, I wanted Black stained floors, and I did not think the ebony was black enough. Mike said he would look for a "blacker" stain. They left and returned at a later date without any extra cost to me. When they came back they sanded the floors and they showed me a sample of the special ordered black stain and it was perfect. They sanded and applied 3 coats of Polyurethane over 4 days. The last day was fine sanding and buffing. The floor is gorgeous. Their work was professional and their over-all service was exceptional. They are coming back to do my oak floors. I personally feel I lucked out when I found them and hired them to do my floor.
