Everything goes well when they come. They are very professional in the way they do their work. They treat the customer correctly and explain everything in detail.

Our A/C went out on a Sat evening in the hottest part of the summer. We thought for sure we'd be miserable all weekend and possibly miss a day of work on Mon. Early Sun morning we called Thigpen after ready Angie's list reviews just see if how high the weekend or emergency rate may be. We were amazed that there was no additional charge for Sun service. We had air back on in a couple of hours. Since it was the weekend, additional parts were still needed but we had A/C and they were prompt to come back to finish the job early in the week. We would highly recommend Thigpen and use them again ourselves.

This was done over the phone. We were out of town and the unit was installed in Neptune Beach Fla. We talked to Steve who worked up a quotation and faxed the quote to us. This was done after 5:30pm, which indicated to us that he was aware that the tenant was without A/C, with consideration like that we were sure this was the company and man we wanted to do business with. The unit was installed in record time and the tenant said the people were excellent.

I had them install a new heat pump about 3 years ago. I had 3 vendors and they had the best price and the product. It was a high-end product. They are pretty good. I spent $85 per heat pump.

I had had an unfortunate experience with Florida Home the previous day, when the technician did a supposed inspection and told me I needed a capacitor which he said would cost $363. I looked on the internet, and capacitors were going for about $20, but I didn't know how to install it, so I called various other Angie's List providers to compare prices. All were a lot cheaper than Florida Home, some less than half the price. Two places offered free second opinions; Thigpen was one of them. They sent someone over in short order. Jeff was very neat, clean and professional. He was happy to have me observe what he was doing and explained everything. He even called his supervisor to verify his findings. He said that the capacitor didn't need to be replaced at all! I plan to purchase the Thigpen plan at $155 a year for two thorough inspections annually. I was completely pleased with every aspect of my dealings with them, and I'm not easy to please.

They are very courteous, on time, and a great company to work with.

Steve called to schedule an appointment. Squeezed us in during his lunch break, so we would not wait over the weekend. He was thorough and professional. He gave us three estimates, all good options. He answered all our questions, even unrelated ones. Very responsive and helpful.

Everything was good. They've been around for a while in the area. The are professional, polite and on time.

They were professional, came when they said they were going to and did what they said they were going to do. We have not had any problems with anything and I will use them again in the future.

The representative, Steve Toney, was couteous, prompt and professional at all times. The final decision came down to the quote from Thigpen and a comparable quote from another highly rated company. (from a total of five contractors we asked to bid) At all times, Steve responded promptly to requests for information, literature and pricing. The other finalist company was a bit less expensive for comparable units and (as well) offered some extras which closed the deal. We really hated to notify Steve that we had chosen the other company as our experiences with him/Thigpen has been excellent during the process.

I have used them for years. One thing that I like about them is that their techs are not paid on commission, so they don't try and sell you services that you don't need. They installed our system 8 years ago and I have used them since then.

Researched Angie's List for good candidates to perform preventive maintenance (no apparent problems) on home air conditioning/heating system. Thigpen had excellent ratings and phoned the office to set up an appointment. The office manager stated that an annual maintenance plan would be to my advantage. Signed up for a twice a year maintenance check of air conditioner/heat pump. Technican was 30 minutes late due to complications at a prior service site. Thigpen technician, Sam, was very professional, thorough and explained all parts of the system. I stayed with him during the entire service to become familiar with my 8 year old system. Based on my experience, I would definitely recommend Thigpen and Sam for heating and air conditioning maintenance work.

Unfortunately I had to wait yet another day without A/C because of Thigpens inability to pick up a phone and call me or let me know on the initial call that he would not be able to make it to my house. Never again will I call the company, even in an emergency for fear of unreliable service.

Our AC went down on Saturday, and I joined Angie's List to find a repair company as I was pretty unsatisfied with the last one I dealt with. Thigpen's was highly recommened and was listed as having 24-hour repair, so I called Sunday morning and left a message. I never heard back on that and called again during office hours Monday morning. Good thing, as I found I still hadn't been put on any sort of callback list. I was told a tech could come out around 4 pm, so I decided to go to work as I was now on day 3 with no AC. I missed a call with an opportunity for an earlier appointment at 10 am, but when I called back about that I was told I could still move up to 2 pm, which I gladly accepted. I cut out of work early and 2 pm came and went with no phone calls from anybody. Finally at 3:45 I called again - by now it was starting to rain - and was told i was next on the list. My AC was fixed within 20 minutes of the tech pulling up in my driveway! It was a just a capactior and he had it swapped out in a jiffy. I was a little disappointed in the communication issues I had with the office, but i feel like on a monday after a VERY hot weekend in town they were probably pretty busy. I was very pleased with the tech - he clearly knew what he was doing and was efficient in his work. I didn't feel ripped off or left questioning the level of service like I did with our previous AC company. So I will try Thigpen again in the future for a routine system cleaning/tune up and see how they do!

I spent about $500 on the job. They were very efficient. They got the parts. The only thing I did not like was that they gave me just one bill, without giving me the breakup towards labor charges and the cost of the parts used. I felt it was high. However, when I asked around, the price seemed to be in line with the other companies. The part was not in stock and it was very hot during that time. So, they took a while to come out. However, they came out on time when they finally said they would. I will use them again in the future.

Whenever we have a problem, they are here. They are not expensive. They take care of the problem. They are reliable. I would use them in the future.

I called in the late afternoon on a Friday and a technician was out the very next morning about 9am on Sat.. He checked things out and preformed the above mentioned job.

I have a water-to-air heat pump which is a geothermal unit, and they installed that for me. They have a long history in this area; I think they have been in business since the 1940s or something. They are a good company. They are experts at what they do and are known as quality providers. I have never had anybody else out. Their price is in the mid range. They have service contracts and stuff which are real reasonable, although I don't have one on this particular unit. However, I have a long-term warranty on all this stuff. They show up when they are supposed to, always do what they say they are going to do and are very thorough in explaining what they do. I would use them again in the future.

Problem was a capacitor that was under warranty, so I was only charged labor. The A/C was up and running within 30 minutes of the repairman's arrival.

They were good. He had to come out three times to narrow it down. He solved the issue the first time, but the part that he put in went bad. Third time he solved it for good. He didn’t charge me extra for coming out the other times. I was really satisfied with him. He was a really hard worker. He came out quickly during the hot season. He came out like almost the same day for follow up. He was a really nice guy. He was very polite and very good with high technical knowledge. The price was in line with other companies, it was not outrageous. They delivered good quality for a fair price.

I recently had my ac ducts cleaned and a new system installed by Thigpen Heating and Cooling Inc. I am very impressed by this company. They were on time to all three appoints from sales to installation. They did a excellent job. The techs were very polite and professional. Also, They were about 1 thousand dollars less than the nearest competitor. I feel I was given terrific service at a great price. I highly recommend this company for your heating and cooling needs.

Excellent. Very happy altogether. Very smooth process. Thigpen is very reputable but I wouldn't buy a Trane again. The evaporator coil broke down completely after 2 years. Parts were covered by warranty but labor was not. Thigpen gave us the labor $300.

They were great. We interviewed 4 companies and thought they were the most qualified and had the best product to provide.
