The Davey Tree Expert Company

They sent someone out to estimate the job. He said the office would contact us with a price. The estimator called a few days later to ask if we had received an estimate which we had not. Never heard from the company again and we hired someone else to do the job for $1,000.

Spent several days playing phone tag, but once we finally connected, things went smoothly. The person who looked at the tree/situation was clean cut, well spoken, polite and seemed quite forthright. He gave me his assessment, his prediction for the cost and assured me I would receive a bid, which has not yet arrived. He said that while it would be a messy job, it wouldn't be as dangerous or difficult as other bidders led me to believe it would be. I have used Davey tree in the past and have never had any reason to think anything other than highly of their judgement or work. We will probably use Davey tree to do the job.

The price Davey charged to take out the tree was high. However, it is difficult to hire someone to do the work, because so many other people want the work done, too. It was a hard tree to take out, so Davey did good work.
