Terry Vereen Plumbing

On Sunday 6/19/2011, I arranged for Vereen Plumbing to call my cell phone on Monday 6/20/2011 when they were on the way to my house. (My office is only 3 blocks from my house.) They called and arrived at 10:00 am and fixed the problem in less than an hour. I expected a bill between $100 and $200 and was quite surprised when it came to $88.00.

The work was done professionally and at a reasonable cost.

I got this company from Angies List. They arrived timely and were professionally dressed. I brought the duo into the bathroom and they proceeded to replace the trap and necessary piping to repair the leak. They were well mannered and when the work was done, explained that in the future I needed to think about replacing the waste arm. As I explained having the bathroom remodeled, they suggested I have the waste arm replaced when the vanity is removed. It would make for a much easier replacement. I was also told that I had a problem with the overflow in the sink. If the sink got too full and the extra water went into the overflow, I would have a leak as the connection between the overflow in the sink and the drain did leak. It was suggested that the sink be replaced when the bathroom was remodeled. I used my Angie's List discount and the plumber appeared happy I did. The next morning, I realized I still had a very small leak in the bathroom. I called the office again and another duo showed up on time. They appeared to replace a pipe and then said I needed a new sink. Unfortunately, this is a small bathroom, just big enough for the duo, not big enough for me to join them and watch everything that takes place. I told them what the first plumber said and was shown a large amount of water draining from the sink with more water being on at full force.........and there was a terrible leak, several in fact. I was told to purchase a new sink and call them back to install. My problem is this. The sink did not have several leaks in it the day before, why did it now? I find this very questionable. I use my bathroom sink to perhaps wash my face and brush my teeth. I never have a full sink draining nor do I run the water in the bathroom sink at full force for any reason. I guess I'll wait on the new sink till I remodel.

We liked that the drain worked better when they were done because they fixed the problem. The quality of work and the price was fine.

Be specific in your expectations and compare pricing as well as your expectations during the work. They took extreme care in making the least amount of cuts into walls/sheetrock. This is very important as a part of the work done. Also, they looked for the most logical solution for exterior pipes and plumbing (porch, etc.) and did an excellend job.

Repair person showed up at the appointed time. Professional & courteous. Proper tools at hand, he quickly completed the installation. Checked over my work and found all well.

The found the leak (I couldn't) and they fixed it. They gave me advice on how to prevent a reoccurance and (just in case) how to fix it myself !

Terry Vereen receptionist was great, Brian was great, and this job went very well.

The person who answered the phone was very polite, very friendly and even though I was not in any rush to get the job done, she said the plumbers would be out the same day and gave me a 2 hour window. I was surprised and delighted. I received a call from her about 30 minutes later letting me know when they would arrive. The plumbers showed up on time. I told them what I wanted and received no response. They didn't even look at the old plumbing to tell me if it could be removed. They got to work and installed the new faucet quickly and efficiently, checking for leaks after installation. I tried a couple more times to engage in general conversation only to be met with one word answers. When one of the plumbers brought the bill to me to oversee it and sign, he snickered at my table which had several things on it since he had no place to lay it. There was no "thank you for calling us", "call us if you need anything else" or such. In general there was an attitude of disrepect to me the customer. Also I was nearly exposed to the "plumber's crack". I do not understand why plumbers don't/won't wear clothing that covers up these areas so as not to expose people to such unpleasantness. I debated whether to answer "no" on "Would I use the company again?". I put "yes" because the person on the phone was very pleasant, the response time was fabulous and the work was very good. The overall experience would easily have been an "A" if the plumbers had been more responsive, less dismissive and better dressed.

We discovered the leaking pipe one evening, and they were able to come the next day and fixed it quickly. Since it was due to an old copper pipe, they advised that this could mean other leaks could be likely. Our house is over 100 years old and the plumbing was updated over 30 years ago. They gave me an estimate to replumb everything, and discussed how they would handle the work with a team that could finish it all in one day. They could even include helping remove some fixtures we are planning to update and come back to install later. Very professional, Very helpful.

Excellent work. A team of two showed up on time to complete the scheduled work. I showed them what pieces went where and they went to work right away. Even though some items were complicated and took longer than expected, they installed everything to my satisfaction. They tested all the items, left no mess, cleaned up after themselves and even took out the trash. Thank you! Great work. Will not hesitate to call them again for service in the future.

The initial phone call to Terry Vereen Plumbing went very well. The woman my husband spoke with was very informative and professional. They offered us either a new customer discount or a senior discount. The serviceman, was prompt, conscientious, professional and polite. He laid tarps across the carpet for protection from any water leaking out from the old tank while being removed from the kitchen closet out through the living room to the front door. The work was done quickly and the old tank was removed from the property. We would highly recommend Terry Vereen Plumbing to our friends and neighbors. They were able to send someone the day I phoned and they were prompt, professional, courteous, and effective.

I am happy with the service. They were behind schedule and the service mad smelled of heavy cigarette smoke. I'm giving them a good report because the problem was corrected and they were very professional.

They were able to fix it on the same day that they came out. They didn?t get the parts though I told them to get all the parts. I called up to fix an appointment, but there was some misunderstanding with the girl that I spoke. I scheduled an appointment for the same day but she mistook it as Thursday. I called them back to check why no one had turned up and I got to know that they had misunderstood, but they made sure that somebody got in here on the same day. The price was a bit expensive.

Plumber was very knowledgeable, accurate, quick, and polite. He had the needed part in the truck. My bill was $129.00 but the telephone-book coupon brought it down to $109.00. Yay!

Overall experience great. They were prompt, polite and got the job done quickly. Ron Smith was the plumber with 1 assistant. Very pleased!

Responsive, punctual and professional.

They had to cut a hole in the closet wall to access the Roman tub faucet. They cut a very neat hole and fitted the cutout piece back into the wall once they were done. They then found that they had to enlarge the hole in the actual tub as the fixture we had bought did not exactly fit. Two people had come on the job, and while one was sawing the tub, the other one worked on the sink faucets. They did a good job and did not make a mess. They were very nice and professional.

Jeremy was a bit late, but once here installed the 3 faucets very quickly.

the leak was fixed the same day I called the company, which my warranty company could not do for 3 days. By the way the warranty company was American Home Shield which I cancelled my contract the same day due to this problem. I appreciated the response since I live in Virginia and my rental house is in Florida.

Called and got same day appointment. Plumber showed up on time, used power auger to clear waste line, reassembled plumbing and checked for leaks.

He did a magnificent job and was very courteous. He also did another little job for us for a very small price. I can't say enough good things about him. I would recommend him to others.
