+ -1 moreWe were headed out of town when I noticed the problem with my shower. I got on Angie's list and started researching plumbers. Vereen plumbing answered the phone and promptly made me an appointment. I was concerned about the cost because I hadn't planned for this expense in my budget. They gave me an arrival window that was reasonable. I received a call before the end of my time block stating they were running behind schedule. The call was truly appreciated because things do happen, they were apologetic and ultimately only about 30 minutes late. The young man came in and removed his shoes beofe looking at the problem. They quoted me a very reasonable price. Once the work was done they asked if there was anything else I needed. Overall they were professional, reasonable and prompt.
Description of Work: My shower, tub and toilet in the master bathroom were backing up and there was dirt from the outside in my shower. They cleared all three.

+ -1 moreThe following day two young men called and said they would be here at 1:pm they did not show up until almost 2:pm. It took them two hours to do a job that should have taken one hour. I went to take a shower after they left and the handle fell off, they had forgot to secure the handle. I would not use this group again. The first young man charged $147.00 and the second group charged $215.00. I felt this was over priced. The $215.00 was with the Angies discount.
Description of Work: We had a shower faucet leaking. One young man came on Monday night, his equipment was lacking. He was not able to do the job, however he did cut a hole in the wall and cap the water in the shower so we were able to have the water in the remainder of the home. The next day the company sent two more young men out to complete the job. I had bought a new kit as I was instructed that I should in order to save money. .

+ -1 moreI called Terry Vereen on Monday and ask if a quote could be provided to replace the pan under the water heater. I was told they do not provide quotes because it was not cost affective to send out a plumber to evaluate/quote the work. I ask for an estimate for the job and I was told about $200. $98 per hour and the job would take 2 hours. I had to force this information out from the CSR. I set up an appt. for Thursday and gave specific instruction with the available time, 9 to 2pm. The day of service I had to call Terry Vereen (around 12:30pm) to find out what time the plumber was going to be there. The CSR was a bit agitated and said the plumber was finishing up a job and would come right after. I reminded the CSR that the person at home would be leaving the house around 2:30pm to pick up the child from school. The plumber showed up after 2:30pm and left a note telling me they came by and to call back to reschedule an appt. I had to call Terry Vereen several times troubleshooting the visit and I was told the plumber would be there by 4pm. The plumber never returned. No one at the office showed concerned or urgency with my request.
Description of Work: The plumber did not show up on time and never returned back to the site after a call was placed to Terry Vereen.

Very pleased with the service; HOWEVER, do not be fooled by the 15% off coupon. Intentionally misleading the way it is written. The discount is not 15% off the entire bill (not to exceed $200). It is 15% off of $200 which is a mere $30.
Description of Work: Replaced my water heater. Price included water heater, labor and haul away.

Description of Work: This started as a do it yourself project. I wanted to just change out the brass fixtures with nickel fixtures. There were no problems with the sinks or shower head. When I replaced the fixture part for some reason the shower started to drip at the shower head. I then went and purchased a new cartridge for the mixing valve. The old one was stuck in mixing valve and would not come out. Then I broke the end off. That was when I called Vereen Plumbing the first time. As background I had talked to Moen during this process and they could not understand why the dripping was occurring. They came out and drilled out the old cartridge and put the new one in. It still leaked. The plumber has another cartridge and installed it and it did not fix the problem. I called Moen and they said they would send out a new valve and cartridge (free). When it arrived I called Vereen out a second time to install the valve. Everything worked fine after the installation. I had wanted the old valve to send back to Moen to find out what the actual problem had been. unfortunately it fell behind the wall when they were taking it out. The work space behind the wall was cramped because there was no access from behind the shower.

From the nice lady who answered the phone to the plumbers that arrived at my home, everyone was very courteous, professional and timely. Mat and Tyler, the plumbers, where very professional. They diagnosed the problem and quickly went to work resolving it. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing similar service.

+ 0 moreTERRIBLE....DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY.....First of all, had to be transferred to 3 different people before finally got someone on the phone who could schedule an estimate. Then when I finally got someone on the phone who knew what they we doing I found out that despite their advertisement on Angieslist of free estimates they charge $250 FOR AN ESTIMATE.... appreantly this was the "camera fee" to see if a pipe was broke.....NEWS FLASH.....$250 IS NOT A "FREE ESTIMATE" YOUR ANGIESLIST AD IS FALSE ADVERTISING.....My suggestion to all Angieslist members is to call someone else...this company is RUDE and if their estmate process is this frustrating I cant imagine what their work is like!!!

+ -1 moreGreat; the tech arrived on time and was friendly,courteous,worked quickly and explained what he was doing or going to do. He found that the leak is in my irrigation system so we turned it off until I can get the irrigation company out to fix it. He repaired a pipe going to an outside faucet, fixed leak in bathroom faucet, installed new flapper and chain in toilet, fixed leak at base of kitchen sink, installed new aerator, sprayer hose and sprayer mount. Checked the other commode just to see if it needed any work and told me it was fine.The tech had nerves of steel because my dog barked at him the entire time he was here!!! He never seemed upset or angry :)
Description of Work: I asked this company to find a "leak" somewhere in my system and to repair two sink faucets and install new flapper and chain in toilet.

+ -1 moreI was very disappointed with Grays Plumbing, which had the most ratings on my list I found out very soon their customer service was bad, and my time was not of value to them. However, I opened my Angie?s list back up and called Terry Vereen I was treated nice and my service request was expedited right away. Hank Spencer called me as he was in route to my house. Once he arrived he was great at explaining to me the work that was needed to my plumbing located in the front of my house which now I know runs to the left side of my house under the cement in front of my garage. Hank Spencer with Terry Vreen was pleasant and professional.

The were very helpful on the phone and provide me all the cost details along with an estimated time for the project and set the appoint for first thing Friday morning. After arriving Friday, the plumber was very professional and asked for the project detials and how long to work on locating the buried cut-off valve. After locating the cut-off valve he began work on the ice-maker water valve. He indicated that because of the valve postion in the wall box, that he would have to cut into the wall below the valve to make the change over. I told him to proceed and within a short time the work was done. Overall the project time was within the time estimate provided on Thursday. I was very happy with the work and will definitely use them again.
Description of Work: Located and uncovered the buried house cut-off valve. Removed the refrigerator faulty ice maker water line valve (plastic) and replaced with a durable steel valve.

+ 0 moreThe estimator came out on Friday. He was 20 minutes early, which was fine since my family was on site to explain the job. Originally we were considering converting from 2 large tank water heaters to electric tankless water heaters, to gain closet space. He advised that we don't have room on our current electric panel(s) for the power necessary for the tankless heaters. We would have needed to upgrade two electric panels (expensive) in order to have room for the load. We decided to just repair the current water heaters. The repair guys came out on Monday morning - Brandon and Jonathan. They were 15 minutes late. Other than that, they were polite and professional. One of the water heaters had a leaky valve - they fixed it. The other heater needed to be drained and moved (so we can tile beneath it and install a drain pan) and some old lines to a washing machine were capped off. They completed all the work in a little over an hour. My only complaint is that I requested they move the water heater into an adjacent room with vinyl floors, but they moved it to a room with hardwood flooring, and it leaked a bit on the floors. Overall I give them a "B-".
Description of Work: We have two water heaters that needed minor repairs. One water heater had a leaking valve, the other needed to be drained and moved so that we can tile beneath it and install a drain pan. The 2nd water heater also had lines going to a non-existant washing machine - those were capped off.

+ 0 moreWhen called they arrived quickly and provided what I thought was a fair quote, not cheap, but fair. They arrived on time and relocated my new hot water heater and their electrician relocated the power. Overall the experience was good, however I was disappointed with the final cleanup. To connect the new plumbing they had to take some ceiling tiles down and move some insulation. At the end of the job, they did not put the ceiling tiles back or sweep up. Two weeks after the new connection was made, I noticed a very small leak at the connection. I called and they had someone out in less than two hours and fixed the leak.
Description of Work: Relocated a hot water heater from upstairs to downstairs. They handled both the plumbing and the electric.

+ -1 moreCalled Roto-Rooter and received an estimate of $3132. Way too much. Joined Angie?s List and searched for plumbers in my area. Called Terry Vereen Plumbing and 3 others at 8am. Had a Vereen Plumbing estimator on site by 8:30am and his crew on site by 11 am. The other plumbers didn?t even return my call until late in the afternoon. Estimate of $1000. Actual invoice $1175. Quite a savings compared to Roto-Rooter. Prompt, courteous and professional.
Description of Work: Clogged sewer line due to AT&T running their phone lines directly through the pipe.
