They fixed the leak on the first visit for a reasonable price, but than we noticed the water wasn't hot anymore. They came out again for free and took care of it.

The two man crew arrived first thing Friday morning, as they said they would. They had a professional manner, they both introduced themselves. The water heater was installed, tested + cleaned up. They took the old water heater w/ them. They also fixed a clogged toilet while they were there. I would definitely use them again

I was a little freaked out because they had to cut my wall, but they found and fixed the problem with minimal damage to the affected area. It did not take long and they cleaned up after themselves quite well. The price was very reasonable and I am pleased with their service.

This is the second time that I've had a DIY disaster and I knew that I could depend on Terry Vereen Plumbing. Matthew is one of their employees who I've dealt twice, and he's quick and professional. Their pricing is fair and they don't force you to buy their parts if you don't want to. They are my go to plumbing company in Jax.

He tried from in the shower, then had to go on the rook and feed a snake down the vent to remove the clog.

Both crews showed up on time, went over the job again and decided where to run plumbing. The entire re-plumbing was done in 1 day. Was clean and professional. Thanks. No more slab leaks.

The first day I called and set an appt. I was surprised that I was able to get an apt the first day I called... I called that morning and they said they would be there in the afternoon and that I would get a call telling me they were on the way... no call call, no show. I called at ~4;15 to check and was told that they called to tell me but they did not get through... Sorry guys, I gave you two telephone numbers AND I am by my phone religiously during the day because I work from home. I'm not buying it. So no call no show on the first day. I set an apt for the second day. They were there on the dime. They showed up when I wasn't at home and so told the BF they would do some stuff elsewhere until I was able to come home and move the truck (it was blocking the wall where they needed to do work). There were really nice there. They came in and instead of replacing the sections of broke pipe they decided to bypass entirely and go through the floor. They diligently worked to get it done and they did in less than 2 hrs. Then I get the bill. Here is where my skin crawls... I am a hydroponics farmer so I know the cost of plumbing... I have the distinct feeling that they made money on me with parts... not my favorite gig when you charge me $98 dollars an hour in labor. They explained nothing to me other than "we're going through the floor", and the manner when they left was like "here's the bill....." No customer service skills at all. So at the end of this I feel like I had an acceptable solution *not great, just acceptable" and was charged through the nose. A little customer service interaction could have made a HUGE difference. Quality good, but the rest was just ruined. I don't need my hand held but I would like to understand what is going on, what I am paying for, and why... and because of it, I am suspect of the bill. Would not use them again.

The man I was dealing with really push up the prices. They also use Jason Green who has done work for us before. Jason Green is a crook and very dishonest. He does terrible work. One of his workers stole money and jewelry from me. So do not ever use Jason Green.

Brian proceeded to check the main sewer line for clogs. It appears that by the time he got to my home, the main sewer was no longer clogged. Just to make sure that there was no debris left, he snaked the sewer line. He also reset the toilet. I will be using Terry Vereen Plumbing again for sure! I was so glad that I was able to find someone reliable at 8pm on Labor Day. I highly recommend Brian!

They put in the wrong size pipe, didn't finish the shower head, and chipped my new tile floor in the process. I called the office about the situation and never received a return call. I had to pay someone else to do the job properly. Horrible experience and we will never use them again.

I called them on Saturday, August 10, 2013 to schedule an appointment for a repair. Their answering service answered and took down my information. I had not heard from them all day so I thought I would call in case my information was transposed incorrectly. A very nice gentleman answered and apologized when I said I had not heard from them and stated I should have gotten called back on Saturday then he transferred me to a woman. When she picked up she stated that she had been trying to call me all morning and that my telephone kept ringing and ringing and no one answered. I told her I never received any call and verified the number. She said that she had the correct number and then said she was sorry but they tried to call. Then she said nothing so I asked if they still would send someone. She said they didn't have anyone today, but offered nothing else, which was just odd. I then told her I would just get another company to help, and she said okay, and apologized again. I am just puzzled as to why no effort was made to actually schedule an appointment. If I were the owner of the company, I'd be horrified that my staff would turn away business unnecessarily. I have a big job coming up on a rental property as well, but I am most assuredly using another company.

I called the office on a Saturday at 10:30AM to set up an appointment for Monday AM. They asked if I needed same day service and I told them that was not required, I'd like to have a Monday AM appointment. They took my information, said something about not having someone available that day to schedule and said they would contact me on Monday. On Monday, I had not heard from them by 8:30AM, so I called the office. It was obvious that I had not been added to the schedule and I was told I could get an appointment between Noon and 2. By 2:15PM, the plumber had not shown up, I had not been contacted and I called the office. I was told that the plumber was on his way. The plumber and his assistant showed up at 4:15PM. He did not apologize for being late. He went to work and the repair went fairly quickly, about 30 minutes. I also had him look at a couple of smaller plumbing issues, one of which he did not advise repairing and the other I decided to fix myself. In total, he was at the house for approximately 45 minutes. He did not try to sell any additional services. Overall, the customer service from the office staff was poor. They did not communicate well and I felt like they had forgotten about my service call. The customer service from the plumber was ok. He was quick and competent; however, the lack of an explaination for being so late, lack of a phone call updating his arrival time or lack of an apology for running more than 2 hours late did not make me very happy with him. From a competency and price standpoint, I would use them again; however, the poor customer service makes it very unlikely I'd call them for another job.

I thought that they were very professional and expeditious on their job. The finished product was outstanding. They were probably the best people I have used that is why I remember their name off the top of my head. I have never used another plumbing company while I have been at this house.

.Called about toilet that would not drain that they had unstopped in March 2013. Appointment was scheduled with a window of 11-1 on 6/14/13. After waiting until 1:45 I called and they told me they were running a little late. When I asked why they didn't call and tell me that, lady said they would be out in 30-45 minutes. After waiting until 3:00, I called and cancelled service.

Service was great. We were told they would be in our home in an hour...they arrived 20 minutes later. They fixed the problem in about 15 minutes. The lady on the phone was super courteous, as well as the two gentlemen. Very satisfied with their service. I would highly recommend and use them again!

I was desperate. Used Angie's List to find a plumber. Read the reviews for TERRY VEREEN PLUMBING, called them, they came out the next day. On the phone the polite lady inquired what was needed. Advised of the flat rate per hour, then set the appointment. When the 2 guys came they were polite, understanding (at me not understanding plumbing) and FAST. They cleared the drains in the bathroom in less than 30 minutes. THEN... politely asked if there was anything else I needed. I explained that I just moved in and did not know how to hook up my clothes washer. So they did it in about 5 minuets. THEN... politely asked if there was anything else I needed, again. I told them about the running toilet in the back bathroom. They had the part on the truck and fixed it too. Since it all was done in under an hour that is what they charged me. (and the price for the toilet part needed). I was so impressed that they continually worked till the hour was over, instead of charging for and hour and only working for 20 minutes. That in itself is the MOST AMAZING piece of professionalism I have ever experienced. I WILL ALWAYS AND ONLY USE TERRY VEREEN PLUMBING!!!

Not well, I called and the receptionist was very unprofessional and basically couldn't answer any of my questions, so I didn't use the company

I called with two problems; no hot water and a long-time bad valve in a second shower that I don't use. The water heater was my primary concern. I called around 8:30 and the plumber (I forget his name) showed up at the beginning of the 11:00 - 1:00 window given by the dispatcher. He was very courteous and seemed to really know what he was doing. He discovered and pointed out that the circuit breaker panel had the water heater and clothes dryer mis-labeled. He also replaced a faulty gate valve with a ball valve. I tried to give an overall B because he did not have the part to replace the bad shower valve but Angie's software does not allow to give all A's but a B overall.. If he had had the part I believe he would have done a very good job replacing it. I was hoping to kill two birds with one stone. I will probably call Terry Vereen again when I feel like getting the shower valve fixed. I would give an A- overall if that were possible.

Terry Vereen Plumbing did a great job and I highly recommend them. My house is 50 years old. The water pressure was very low. When it sprang a leak under the front lawn I decided to redo the house including repiping the bathroom, kitchen and laundry room. I called David Grey and Terry Vereen both. Hank from Terry Vereen was very professional with the estimate, 6 guys showed up on schedule to do the work, and they did it all in one day. I have fabulous water pressure now and no problems at all.

After a very disappointing experience with Gray's, we called Terry Vereen. We had a list of issues on the inspection of our new home. Terry's sent 2 guys out the next morning. They finished all work by noon and charged me the quoted price. I would certainly use them again.

The estimate was a bit high but I had worked with this company before and felt confident that they would do a good job. The work started on time and they company did a good job of coordinating with the gas company. They did a great job of explaing the product and left the property neat and clean. We love having continuous hot water.

They did an amazing job, repiped/plumbed the entire house in one long day -- they charged the quoted price, and the day went longer than they expected. They stayed until it was finished -- I would highly recommend them.

Called at 11am, came out at 12pm and done at 1pm. All working accordingly and no issues. Friendly staff and professional. Will use them again in the future.

An overnight guest was showering in the guest bath Saturday morning, when I heard a loud gurgling noise coming from another nearly adjacent bathroom. When I went to investigate, I found that the water in the toilet in that second bathroom was bubbling vigorously and soapy water was just beginning to come up slowly in that bathtub. With the shower hastily concluded, a lot more water was left standing in that tub and the water in the toilet in that room had risen to the top of the bowl and would not drain. Knowing from experience that once water is standing like that it's not going to suddenly fix itself, I knew it was time to call a plumber. Angie's List to the rescue once again! I found several great possibilities and chose this company over the others primarily because their website mentioned that there was no extra emergency service charge for Saturday work called in before 3PM. I don't know why plumbing problems that require immediate attention always seem to happen on the weekend, but it was really nice to find such a highly rated company with regular Saturday hours. When I placed the call for service, a nice young lady asked a few questions, got my name, address and contact info and said the technician would call me back. The service tech called within twenty minutes, asked some questions about the problem we were experiencing and said he could be at our home around 10AM . . . or about an hour and a half from the time he called. Tim showed up on the dot at 10AM, as promised, and got right to work investigating the problem. Diagnosing the problem took little time, but figuring out how to approach fixing it was a bit of a head scratcher at first. Normally a plumber would use the roof vent to snake the drain when there is standing water, but the vent in question was two stories up a very steeply slanted roof so that wasn't an option. There was no attic access available either. Deciding that he needed to evacuate the standing water first to prevent making a big mess inside the house Tim decided to use his shop vac for that job. Knowing he would have to pull one of the toilets for direct access to the drain after all the water had been removed, he chose to work from the bathroom that had an exterior door to the back porch to prevent having to carry soapy water across the carpeted areas of my house. This process was pretty time consuming before the water was completely gone from both affected bathrooms (I lost count of how many times he trekked across the back porch to empty the reservoir of that shop vac) and I am sure cost us more in labor charges but I really appreciate the lengths Tim went to protect the inside of my house from a soapy deluge! Once all the water had been cleared, Tim removed the toilet and began the clearing process with the powered snaking apparatus. Once the clog had been cleared by the snake and after checking both bathrooms to make sure everything was working properly, he reset the toilet and sealed it to the floor with caulk. Tim's clean up process was very thorough . . . he wiped down his tools to prevent anything from being tracked through my house and cleaned up after himself in the bathroom where he did the work . . . I would still need to clean and sanitize both tubs and toilets, of course but how nice to not have to clean up those black smudges from seemingly every surface they have touched that most plumbers seem to leave behind! Overall, we couldn't be happier with the service we received from Terry Vereen Plumbing. Tim did an outstanding job . . . he was not only highly skilled, professional and courteous, but went above and beyond to troubleshoot a way to solve our drain problem without doing any damage to the inside of our house. We will definitely call this company again the next time plumbing service is required.

Both the plumber and helper were professional and courteous. Wasted no time in doing both jobs. Laid drop cloth on the kitchen floor to make sure there was no mess. After they left you couldn't tell they had been here other than having a faucet that worked properly. Have used this company for my plumbing work for more than 20 years.
