Mr. Shaw responded immediately and quickly went to view the condo. He did an excellent job, quickly, and e-mailed pictures to us. Now that we've seen the job in person, I feel comfortable giving Mr. Shaw an excellent rating. Some installers would not even consider this job since we were not going to purchase tile from them. I would call him again.

The Shaw team created a beautiful cut stone fireplace wall & shelf. Superior craftsmanship, artful design and guidance. On budget, on time & what a pleasure to deal with. All As in my book.

Tom was extremely personable, professional, and friendly. He did an excellent job tiling our kitchen and was very efficient. He laid our 12x24 tile using a brick pattern, and it looks perfect. We are planning to have him back to tile our backsplash.

Tom was very knowledgeable, pleasant and thorough in his explanations. He and his assistant, Sley, were very neat, tidy, and did a great job keeping the dust (and there was a LOT of dust) out of the adjacent kitchen and great room. Tom spent a lot of time walking us through options, showing us examples, and helping us make the necessary. The rooms looks so much lighter and brighter now. We are using Tom again for retiling the floor and shower in our master bath.

Tom worked on the project for eleven days. He was here every work day, even came on one Saturday. He finished the job within the estimated timeframe. Tom has a very pleasant personality. He's easy to work with and is very respectful and genuinely concerned about causing disruptions to his customers. He's very accommodating of working around other contractors, or customer requests. He was helpful with advice in selection and care of materials. He did a fabulous job of preventing disruption to our daily life. For example, he left appliances, and the washer and dryer and toilet operable almost the entire duration. They were disabled only when necessary, and down for a minimal amount of time. This was greatly appreciated, since we both work full-time, and would have found it difficult to live without them for long periods. While tiling, he provided paths for us to access various areas of the house, and left markers on wet tiles! He even cleaned out our dryer vent prior to hooking it back up! Removal of the old tiles was a bigger chore than expected because of a poor prior installation, and took a day longer than planned. We witnessed it was a justifiable delay and very hard work. Consequently, this resulted in additional costs. This was an unexpected issue, and we willingly negotiated it with Tom. Tom carefully planned the layout of the tile so it would flawlessly transition from one area to another. His skillful craftsmanship and pride in his work is evident by his attention to details and precise cuts. The floors and backsplash look beautiful, we are very happy with Tom's work!

We are planning on having him back for additional services. He was very fairly priced. His craftsmanship was impeccable. He's very precise and pays attention to the details. We have referred his services to two other friends who have used him.
