Great! The were prompt to come out and provide an estimate. We were very impressed by the little portfolio was given to us along with the estimate -- very professional. Ultimately, we decided to go with another person because we were combining services. But, we would have gone with them if all we needed was gutters.

They were awesome and very professional.

They were professional and on time. They walked me around the house afterwards so I could see the work. They paid attention to the details - i.e. straighted out lights for me that had been adjusted due to the downspouts. They had a wide variety of colors to choose from to try to match your home where as some estimates I received only gave you white to choose from. Though I wish the drainage hoses were buried in time they'll be covered up by the bushes so not a huge deal. Overall I was happy with the work and would recommend them to others.

Everyone with the company was so friendly and professional. I was impressed with all of the information that they provide about their company and their products with the estimate. They provided us with several options to choose from for what we were looking to have done. They don't feel the need (as so many other companies do) to trash-talk the competition which was very refreshing. They were here to do the job on the scheduled day and did a beautiful job and did not leave a single scrap of trash. Checked Angie's List to get 3 bids. Left messages to call me back. Beverly called back after the other two bidders, apologizing for the delay because of being at a family graduation. Wow! Down home folks. I like that. Beverly set up a time for hubby Chuck to come out and give me a bid. Chuck arrived on time. He was as friendly as his wife. Very thorough. Recommended wider gutters because of poor drainage and water collecting in a pool near the front door. Chuck also said I could get a discount if I took down the old gutters. Makes it easier for them, cheaper for me. Then showed me 25 different colors available. Best price and best service. Sold! Because of their backlog of work, it was 2 weeks before they could do the job. Worth the wait. I did take down the old gutters and got a discount. They showed up at 11AM as promised. They finished up by 3PM. Chuck and Beverly's son and his one man crew did the job working as a team - friendly and competent. There is a tricky section that needed water running in opposite directions. They did it. It works. And the wider gutters solved the problem with water collecting near our front door. Great family! The owner Chuck was very thorough with his inspection of the issues we were experiencing with water seeping behind the gutters. The estimate was professionally drawn out and very detailed. His wife Beverly was in constant contact with us with scheduling as heavy rains delayed our service. After our first rain we noticed a few areas that the water was still seeping behind the gutter and Chuck came out to the property to fix it himself. We had a wonderful experience with this company and would use them again in the future!

The project went excellent, in an efficient and timely manner. Sunshine's workers were pleasant, answered questions and did a great job of cleaning up debris. This was not easy because the previous gutter contractor had, in layperson terms, essentially made a large mess trying to attach their set of gutters to the fascia of our home. The removal of the old gutters and those replaced by Sunshine required an initial evaluation of what the original gutter contractor had done. Sunshine had to use unique means and methods to save us the cost of damage and/or replacement of our home's fascia and existing shingles. It took weeks to have Sunshine State assist us with this project because we had to get in line on their busy schedule. It was well worth the wait. It took interviewing numbers of other gutter contractors in the Jacksonville area for almost 5 months to determine if they had true interest, knowledge, and willingness to answer technical questions. None met this criteria except Sunshine State Gutters. Of all the other contractors with whom we met, Sunshine and only one other gutter contractor took the less than 10 minutes to climb a ladder to look into the already poorly installed gutters. Sunshine was the only gutter installer who provided proof of insurance during their initial visit.

They did a great job. I don't remember exactly what the cost was, but price was good. I was very happy with them.

Overall experience was good. Estimate included several options, and team actually recommended the cheapest option for my drainage issues. Installation was performed very quickly (within a few hours). Only problem was install had to wait six weeks because of company's work backlog (was not an issue for me).

Everything went well. Came and did estimate next day did not take long for pride of problem areas and entire home. Scheduled install was about a month wait. Install only took a few hours and they work and look good.

The installed gutters functioned as designed and the old gutters were removed. The gutter shields or screens to cover the gutters from gathering leaves and sticks were not installed in an aesthetically pleasing manner. There were waves and ripples that could be seen from the road and gaps that could allow debris to enter gutters. The owner addressed my concerns and over the course of a couple visits the gutter screens were satisfactory. The owner wanted to make sure I was satisfied before any payment was accepted. This is a family run business who care about the customers and doing the right thing. For that, I am thankful.

From the estimate all the way to dealing with Beverly this is one of the most professional and punctual companies I have ever dealt with. The estimate was written and presented very well and there was absolutely no question this was the company we would be using. I called Beverly within the next few hours and we got work scheduled. When I arrived home and saw the quality that the crew did and the workmanship I was absolutely impressed. Even if the price was more than it was, there is no doubt that this company has earned the trust and reputation of customers only through the dedication and proven work ethic this family owned company could provide.

Sunshine State was one of three companies we contacted to secure quotes. Sunshine called us back the same day. The other two companies were not responsive, although highly recommended by folks we spoke to in the construction biz. One called us back several weeks later. The second never called us. Note that these two weren't on Angie's list, either. Every aspect of our dealings with every member of Sunshine State, a family owned and operated company, was professional. Chuck Fields, the owner, does site inspection and quotes. He gave us great advice, answered all of our questions, and even diverted us from a pricier gutter cover. An honest and immensely likeable guy! His wife handles (with warmth and panache) all scheduling. Their son handles installs. He's clearly cut from the same cloth as his folks. He and his crew had to work around another crew that were ripping up our back yard to install a patio. We apologized to him, saying that we received word from our paving contractor the previous evening that the materials had arrived and that they would be at our house first thing in the morning. We were told not to worry, and the gutter crew went about their work with dispatch, despite the fact that they sometimes had to straddle their ladders over workers on the ground ripping up sod! Absolutely wonderful attitudes and the work was done perfectly. We have had several nasty storms since the gutter installation with some real gully washers and these new gutters work like a charm. If you are looking for great gutter work, at honest, reasonable prices, and you enjoy dealing with truly nice people who understand what makes great customer service, go with Sunshine. You won't be disappointed.

Very professional. I liked the way Chuck described and answered my questions. Also, his free estimate was very detailed and he specified everything in estimate. No contractor has provided this kind of estimate. Very impressed first time and decided to hire to complete the work. He has provided 10 year labor warranty. Gutters were installed well and so far no issue.The best part I like he is very confident about the work he does.

What can I say? These guys rock! The owner's son and his helper came out to do the installation. They were delayed a couple days because of a very rainy week. Totally understandable. They even told me that they were going to work a Saturday in order to catch up with the jobs faster. The gutters look fantastic, they work fantastic, they didn't damage anything or leave a mess around the home. Nothing but top notch work! They even matched the downspouts to the color of the stucco. The home across the street from me is the exact same model as my home. He had gutters installed a few years earlier. On one side of my home, Sunshine State installed three downspouts. On the home across the road, whoever did that one only installed two in the same section. Well, if you saw how the water channels down the roof on that part of the house you would see that it needs three downspouts, not two. So not only does Sunshine State do great work, they do the RIGHT work. I would recommend these guys to anybody in a heartbeat. As a matter of fact, I already did to two of my co-workers. I then found out that another one of my co-workers used Sunshine State about a year before I did. I asked him if he was satisfied...he said WAY more than satisfied. Great work Sunshine State! Please continue to do what you are doing.

The owner came and introduced himself, explained his company, and took measurements. He left me with a brochure with the proposal, and was very professional. They were so busy that the work was scheduled for a month out. On the day that he specified two workers showed up at 9a.m., and they had the work finished by 2p.m. I also called them again to hire them for a gutter project. Because of the wait time, he got on a ladder and went up and shore up the one gutter that was sagging very badly. He spent about 45 minutes repairing this one spot. And he also got into the gutter and dumped the debris. I am hiring them to put the gutters on my home.

On time, very professional and quality is great. Would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

After a very enjoyable estimate with owner/founder; we agreed on the right plan for the house to include complete coverage of screened gutters. The installers were professional, efficient and completed the job correctly in one day. High quality materials and effective implementation give them an A+ rating. A 10 year warranty doesn't hurt either. I appreciate the military discount. Thank you so much. They came out several weeks ago and gave me an estimate. They came June 24th and installed the Gutter Screens. They were very nice and professional. I would recommend them to others.

They called that morning giving me a time when they would be there to install the gutters. Upon arrival went over the job details and how long it would take. While here answered any questions that I had, and were very polite. They did an A+ Quality job. Told me that if I had any questions or and problems to call....

Reading the reviews on Angie's List set my expectations for doing business with the folks at Sunshine State. Since they are a very busy, family-run business, it took them 2 weeks (from when I placed the call) to come out to provide us with an estimate. The owner, Chuck, provided us with the estimate. He was prompt, professional and very knowledgeable. He explained how their company installs gutter systems and why they do it the way they do. He even provided a paper explanation of the how/why of their installation process, along with the written quote; this was very useful in referring to after his visit and in comparing with the other estimate we received. We received one other estimate, that was fairly comparable in price, but in the end we decided to go with Sunshine State because of their great, up-front customer service. We were not disappointed. We did have to wait 4 weeks to get on their schedule for installation, but were weren't in a hurry anyway. Chuck's son is the lead on the installation team. He was prompt and professional. He did a walk-thru of the house to verify the details of the installation so I could ask for clarification, etc. It took about 3-4 hours to install the gutters (front and back of house). They cleaned up after themselves and did a walk-around after instal to make sure I was happy with their work, which I was. The very next day, a huge storm came through and we got to see the fruits of their labor. The placement of the downspouts and diverters were right on target. It was so nice NOT having the mulch washed out over of front sidewalk! I highly recommend Sunshine State for gutter installation. They get the job done right at a good value.
