They were responsible and professional. They used quality materials. Over all did a great job and was less expensive than some other companies I had talked to.

This company had been recommended to me as THE fencing company for this area. I called and waited a week for them to respond. I called again and waited, but after a week, I called another company and had an estimate from them within three days. Several weeks after that, someone from Sunset called. I told them I had chosen another company. Perhaps they were very busy. Perhaps they were on vacation. But a truly professional, dependable company responds to calls quickly or at least lets you know they will return your call or are not taking new customers. Not responding for a month in not acceptable. It is indicative of how the company will treat you as a customer

The initial work performed and services provided were to satisfaction. The fences were as we expected. The problems came later. I have called the Company many times since they were put in reporting problems that needed attention or repair or fixing. My problems have been essentially ignored. Phone calls go unanswered, despite leaving messages over and over. Since the fences were installed and after spending almost $8000., the follow up service has been non existent. Boards have and quot;cuppedand quot;. Boards have and quot;splitand quot;. Hinges have become inoperable. Gates have become totally out of alignment. I attempted to reach Abe, the owner, recently and he promised to address my problems and quot;within the nest weekand quot; and that has been more than months ago now. I have left several more messages to no avail. They have never been addressed or answered. While it is true that four years have passed now since inception, one would think that problems that have been reported more than once over these years would at least have had a return phone call, let alone repairs. I would not recommend the Company any longer - if you expect service after the initial purchase. After spending just under $8000. for the fences and stain, etc., I truly did expect more later on.

Great. We called Abe, who owns Sunset Fence, because we bought an old home with an old worn out cedar fence. It was literally rotting down. Abe had built my friend's fence as well as my neighbor and the quality was unbelievable. Abe came out and priced the job. We went with a pressure treated product. 8' in the back and side, tapering down to 6' and then finally 4'. Abe replaced two gates and added a third gate. He used 6" pressure treated posts and I opted for copper caps. It was an extravagance, but definitely worth it. The finished product looks great. Abe also offered fence staining with a Flood product. I decided not to go with the Flood product and am having my painter do the staining instead with Sikkens SRD.I couldn't be happier with the fence. It is beautiful. The guys were respectful of my property as well as my neighbors. They started work on a Thursday and started demo and haul away. They also set the posts. On friday they did an 80' section. They finished that section and then told me that since they couldn't finish the demo and installation of one of the other sides before nightfall they recommended that they stop and come back on Monday. They were concerned about tearing down a fence and leaving my backyard and pool open to the neighbor's kids. I was thrilled. I had been worried about having the pool exposed, since there are so many kids in the neighborhood. They promptly returned on Monday and completed the job.I agree with the other reviewers- it seems crazy to love a fence, but once you see their work you'll understand!

we bought our dream beach home and needed a fence put up immediatley upon closing because we have many dachshunds. our dachshunds are used to playing and digging and running. they had to have a yard right away that was safe because if they got out and onto the road, it would not be happy. Abe and Sunset fence beat everyone's pricing and put up the most beautiful fence ever. they made sure the dogs were safe because they are all animal lovers like we are. the experience was so great. i highly recommend this company. you will not be disappointed.

Sunset builds a beautiful, sturdy, custom fence. They use 6x6 posts instead of 4x4s, and the fence is MUCH nicer looking than those panels you get at the big box store. They started and finished when they said they would, and removed all the old fence and debris from the site. my backyard did not have landscaping at the time, so i don't know how they would have done working around plants. my neighbors were amazed at the fence. A premium price for a premium product. i would recommend and use them again.

Since I never heard back from the company, there is no story to tell.

We had difficulty connecting with Abe. We would leave repeat telephone messages before receiving a return call. Then, a date was set to do the work but the worker was a no show. However, all was forgiven because when the arbor was installed, we were very pleased. We will use Sunset Fence again.

If anyone told me I'd spend $5500.00 on a fence, I'd tell them they were crazy! I saw one of Abe's fences in another neighborhood and it was just unbelievable. I know that sounds weird to say about a fence but you have to see Sunset's work! I couldn't be happier, it has made my backyard like a tropical paradise. The crew was great. They showed up on time and were very considerate of my property (remember, it's custom, they build it!) They finished it ahead of schedule and even added a few extras for me. Kenny, Charger and crew were fantastic. My neighboors are blown away in the difference it has made in my house. It will be be the last fence I ever need..or want!!

There was one big hitch: a city inspector drove by while the fence was going up and said we would have to stop, as it did not follow city zoning laws, though we could apply for an deviation. From January, when the fence was started, the deviation took until late April and cost more than $500.00 to the city for fees. It was a hard time to get the workers back as they were now onto new jobs, but once they did get back, it went fine. There was also another delay in getting the staining done; however, now that the job is done, it looks great and has improved our property value.

Sunset's fences are absolutely the highest quality in the wood category fence in the city of Jacksonville. I shopped this extensively and no one puts the care and attention to detail that Abe (owner) does. He is involved with every project and is a down to earth and honest individual to work with. This said, you have to be patient and understand that although you will get the best quality with trim on all exposed areas, 6x6 posts and hand routed cedar caps, it will not happen expeditiously. There are some scheduling issues that can be frustrating but the final product is worth the wait.

After long delay, they installed fence. There were a few problems and it has been impossible to get them to return and fix. I ended up repairing gate.
