Things were off to a positive start with this company only for things to quickly deuterate as the owner became more aggressive for payment and no longer listened to me as the customer or valued my request as the customer. There were identified issues throughout the project that the company acknowledged and agreed to resolve as the project progressed, but after receiving the final payment, the company did not return to resolve the previously identified issues nor stay true to the previous agreements to resolve the issues. I being too trustworthy and making that final payment really hurt me in the end. At the completion of a $14K project, I am left with roof drainage issues and absence of a sufficient gutter system to accommodate water from my pre-existing roof lines and the new roof installed. This issue was pointed out to the owner prior to completion of the project and he committed to fixing the issues and did not return to resolve the issues after receipt of the final payment. I felt that the company was only willing to do the code minimum installation and was not willing to listen to my desires as a paying customer. Although I appreciate the code minimums, I was also interested in above code in some cases for design purposes and additional safety. Unfortunately, I became invisible as the customer and a mute interested person for the project. In some cases, the sub-contractors brought on site to assist were more knowledgeable and willing to satisfy me as a paying customer than Sunsational Sunroom. The project extended beyond the original project duration agreement with no sense of urgency from the business owner. After canceling family vacations, I was left disappointed with the extended time frames. I felt that the business owner was not fully transparent or honest about his intentions. For example, he encouraged the utilization of one of his sub-contractors at a later date and later leveraged that as a reason to disregard his warranty agreements as a result of a contract clause in the original agreement that stated "Soliciting work from the sub-contractors" will breach the warranty agreements. This was a nice strategy to relieve the company from the accountability for quality work. Although, he was knowledgeable of the work performed by the sub-contractors and the work was performed under his builders permit. As a result, I have issues with our original warranty agreements, issues that I did not have prior to the project, and I am left with water drainage issues and the potential for additional roof damages should I not repairs the lack of quality work performed by Sunsations Sunroom.
Description of Work: Sunsational Sunroom performed a demolition to my existing deck and replaced it with a raised floor and covered patio tieing into my existing roof line. Additionally, steps and a landing were added for exterior access to the new covered patio area.

Owner is very unprofessional and the work he did was installed incorrectly. He was paid for services he did but it was not until after he was paid (cashed the checks) we started having problems. Roof leaked in the seems and where the new roof and existing roof met. We requested it to be fixed and Ken stated that it would cost us more money. Ken then would threatened us with lawsuite if we went after him in court then stating he would file bankruptcy. We had the county building inspector come and he stated that the roofing system was not installed properly. The Owner of the company came back out, four months later, and did agree that the roofing system was installed incorrectly and had to be repaired. When we asked for the documentation of license and liabilty insurance, which we should have asked before we started the project, before he did the repairs the owner would not provide the necessary documentation. As of 04/10/12 we had the MFG that made the product installed come out and look at the issues . The company is Metals USA ..Sunsational Sunrooms promote and claim to sell and use their products on the website ...Also on our work order signed by Ken was the list of materials ...The insulated roof panels were to be Metals USA products ...Well we called corporate and they came out ..Come to find out it all was a lie ...None of the products sold to us and used were Metals USA ...They were a cheaper off name brand..Metals USA is going to move forward with a lawsuit hopefully soon ..We were totally ripped off and lied to ...In the end we removed all of the work performed by Sunsational Sunrooms and hired Factory Direct to reinstall everything...
Description of Work: Project was to have a screen porch. First part of project was to remove existing pergola over deck that was attached to the existing roof line and replace with insulated roofing panels. Second part of project was to close it in with screens and screen doors. First part of the project was completed but did not hire for second part.
