Description of Work: We used Watson Realty to buy our house about a month ago.

Description of Work: Mary Conley was our Real Estate Agency from this office. We had never purchased or even looked to purchase a home before. We were uncertain how to begin to look for a home to purchase or what we could afford to purchase. We contacted Watson Realty and were put in contact with Mary Conley. During our initial phone call we explained that we would be first time home buyers and had no idea how to proceed. Mary had us contact the Watson Mortgage office for a pre-approval and took us out to look at houses that weekend. We had very high expectations of what we wanted to purchase. She took us to some wonderful homes and was able to quickly calculate what the mortgage (taxes, CDDs, HOAs, insurance, etc) would total each month. We quickly discovered that we had champagne taste on a beer budget. Mary never wavered in her help and good humor. We began to look at other homes and found a wonderful townhouse that was being built in an area of town that we had never mentioned any interest in to her. She helped us negotiate our contract on the townhouse and said she would go with us to do negotiations when it came time to pick the furnishings. A few weeks later we changed our mind. We no longer wanted the townhouse because our dream had always been to have a backyard and single house. We contacted Mary and told her we wanted out of the townhouse contract. She spoke with us to determine if it was just "buyers remorse". When she realized that we really were not going to be happy with the townhouse she helped us to break the contact and we began the process of house hunting all over again. We soon found the house of our dreams, albeit a little run down, but still our dream home. Mary helped us with the negotiations, appraisals, ect. Watson Mortgage handled our financing. Mary took every step with us explaining to us and assisting us right up until the signatures were dry on our new mortgage. Then she went one step further. Since we had never owned a home, let alone a pool home, she helped us with referrals for handymen, etc. She even had her husband come over and give us a lesson on how to maintain the pool!!
