They've done five properties for me. There were three people that came to complete the work. It took them a good eight hours. It looked good when they left. They made sure. They're good about giving you options. They have a very good price. They know their products. Very professional, no pressure. They want to make sure that you get what you want at a low price.
Description of Work: They did a kitchen an island and two bathrooms.

Hands down, I like them for granite.A lot of the builders I deal with use Stone World. They came highly recommended to me. I've used them four times in the last 18 months on four different properties. The owners of that are from Brazil, most of the marble they get are from Brazil, but they also get it from Eastern Europe. What I like about Stone World though is But with them, it is kind of when you talk great for them I would give them an A on price I would give them an A across the board. Here's the thing that you'll notice in our market you'll see as low as $29 a square foot installed you know as high as $80 a square foot or you can get in some of the Exotic Stones it'll be over $100 a square foot. You know and it's funny if you go with a builders grade Marble. Okay, really a builders grade Marble today will be different you know a day or two days from now okay. So, let's say today they got in six slabs of exotic and they want $160 a square foot for tha.t you know I get one Builder comes in and buys four of those slabs. They got two guess what those last two slabs or now classified as build a great marble installed at $32 a square foot. No matter what company you go to, it's like that. What I like about Stone World though is with them they got a nice variety of $32 of square foot installed. What i like about them is their price includes the sink. Their price includes the double edge around it. Their price includes four different double edges at the price. They have two different style sinks at that price. Lo and behold that is the install price. They've done a Condo and three houses for me. I think we had an exotic on that one, I think it was $6,000 or as much as $8,000. I just don't remember in all honesty.
Description of Work: It was a new construction. They did the kitchen, island, countertops and three bathrooms.

Worst company to do business with. I recommend avoiding this company no matter how cost affective they are. You get what you pay for. (....or don't) Here are the two issues I had: 1. My quartz for the kitchen island came in and the corners were rounded. I had specifically asked for square corners/edge. They tried to convince me that most people get the rounded corners, and that it is normal (?). The template guy continues to argue with me and insists that I told him to round the corners. (none of these guys barely speak english, by the way..maybe that is the main issue) I said we wanted what we paid for, but they didn't have any more stone left and it would take 30 days. Since I needed them done sooner, I agreed for them to take two inches off the overhang in order to corner the edges. The owner of the business, Nibaldo, agreed to an $800 discount as well. (about 20% off) 2. Two days later, the quartz comes back. The edges were good. We inspected it after the installation was complete and there are several (about 8) small white chips throughout the island countertops and one white colored scratch. I called the company before signing the papers. The owner, Nibaldo, tries to convince me that this is normal with this type of stone. ***This is their go-to scheme: when something is clearly wrong, try to find a way to convince the customer that is it normal.*** Nibaldo ends up telling me that he is "tired of our complaints about the countertops" (without even coming to see it himself), and tells the installation crew to rip up all of the new countertops and take it back for a refund. I was forced to keep the countertops because I have been without a kitchen for two weeks and can't afford to continue on another month without a kitchen. Nibaldo also stated that he "does not want to talk to me anymore". (??) This is NOT the definition of customer service. We are very unhappy about this company and the way they treat their customers. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Countertops cost way too much to not be happy with the turn out! I wish I had spent by $4,000 with a different, more reputable company. Do your research - do not make the same mistake we did!

I had a mold damage with the cabinet so they removed the granite six month ago and they just re installed in. They put the granite down and they blow it and it was not in the right place it should be and when they will grout it will not look that good as it looked the first time.
Description of Work: They re-installed the existing granite which was damaged.

They came out template the tops of the cabinet to make like a blue where granite will go and then they made a drawing where and cut of all the parts where there is cook-top, plugs faucets and other things. One person did the template and the other 3 did the work. They gave a time frame and they started the work within that time period. They took the left over granite and told me that they will save it for me as I paid for it for future if I needed its use. But they broke a piece of granite counter top and They said I have to pay for the granite as they don't have any left, which I did not liked .

Long story, but in a nutshell, the stone was cut wrong and Nivaldo did not want to redo. He wanted my stove to be crooked in it's opening ? First off, the Cabinet shop installers did a poor job of installing the Cabinets ( which I will re do with a laser level so it's done corretly ). Stone worlds installers came and laid down the Granite pieces. Immediately seen Pike's Peak at the center of the sink where the 2 pieces met. I told the installers " I think it's best you lean those pieces again the wall so we can get the Cabinet installers back here. " They continued to install. I complained and both the Cabinet installers and Stone worlds installers returned. They broke the seam on the granite pieces and nicked the edge of the Granite where the seam was. After the seam was Jagged looking and the Cabinets Still not installed correctly. After I Finally installed my stove into it's opening. I then seen the stove gap was 1 inch wider in the rear ! I called Stone world again. Both Cabinet shop owner and Nivaldo came around. Nivaldo said he'd re cut the small stone to the right of the stove, yet my stove would have to remain crooked in it's Opening ? NOT ! I continued to complain and finally Nivaldo came and got his stone and gave me a refund ! Be careful in dealing with these guys ! The Cabinet shop owner is working with me on blemishes, though I've been without a totally functional Kitchen since Oct 24th ! So it was not 100% Stone Worlds fault, however they dropped the ball on the Template as I have pictures of the stone being cut to the Cabinet frame, then back to the side plywood. So there is 1/4 of an inch on both sides to magnify the crooked stove opening ! Also in the Marble Institute of America, it says that there shall be No more then 3MM ( 1/8 of an inch ) of deflection ( Off level ) OR the home owner shall be notified. Nobody said anything about the current 18.35 MM difference in a 10 foot span ! The Stone was Beautiful, though going a different route.

Company came out and measured for the countertops very promptly after the contract was signed. They discussed with me where the seams would go and where we wanted backsplashes. They called back promptly about the price for that and we agreed that we would only do the pieces on the sides originally requested, not the back. They called about installing the countertops within a week after that. We had used a handyman to remove the previous tile countertops and there were still some plywood bases that needed to be removed. Stone-World employees worked hard to get the pieces off and prep the area although it was not part of their job.. When the granite pieces were installed, I thought they were beautiful. But there weren't any backsplash pieces for the sides. We called the company and they indicated the side pieces were not included in the price. I went back to their office and showed them the diagrams which included the side pieces but was told that it would be additional since the original square footage had been met. I never saw a calculation of the square footage that had been installed. It took about a week for the pieces to be done. When they came out to install them, it was done very quickly and some of the sealing/caulking was skipped. I got the feeling they thought I was a difficult customer. I was asked to sign a form stating the work had been performed to my satisfaction. I noticed later that there is a 2-3 inch cut in one slab that must have happened during the fabrication. And some of the counter pieces are not exactly the same depth as the others and one does not quite cover the cabinet base. In addition, the seams are clearly visible. This is my first granite job so I don't know if this is normal but I have read stories of customers boasting their seams were near invisible. So overall there were some pluses and minuses about the company and the job. I don't know if I was being too picky as it was my first granite job.
Description of Work: Fabricated and installed granite countertops in my kitchen. Approximately 65 square feet of countertop. Some removal of previous countertop base.
